my blackberry 8900 not charing from the usb and the charger both , whenever I plug the cord it shows the clock but no flash sign on the battery indicators
Giving me error:
"the charging source connected to your blackberry device cannot charge your battery".....anybody have any idea why is this happening?? I have tried so many chargers and usb's but nothing happening!!
I took a 21 hr trip w/ no recharge. Battery completely drained. Since then...
-BB will not charge.
-I have BB desk manager, have removed battery and replaced, purchased new battery, purchased new a/c cord.
-charging does not work via USB to PC, USB to Auto, USB to A/C.
any suggestions?
-Unit has never been wet, nor dropped.
-Carrier is T-Mobile
Last night my battery was low. So i put it in the charge before i went to sleep and today morning my alram didnt went off annyways than i looked at the plug and the switch was off. so i am assuming i neva put on charge. Now its been on charge for an hour and it just wont turn on I connect it and the LED lights stays for a minute and then i get this empty jug with blue bolt sign saying its charging.

After this the greenish yellowish LED light starts blinking to tell me its charging. I absolutely hate that light and can't stand it. -it appears that BB is draining the battery from a full charge battery after unplugging and powering on....w/out any use of unit.
-the red LED light comes on after plugging via a/c charge. After about 10 seconds, the LED light goes out...and indication that it's not charging.
-Battery is a new battery, and is completely dead.
-overall, it appears that unit starts a charge, then just stop charging.

I have a 8900 and it does not charge past 2 bars it shows it chargin but doesn't move past 2 bars I wiped hanheld deleted all apps and a tmobile rep had send me a "updated" O.S through email to reinstall which was the same sh*t I had by the way 4.6.1.231 and I did it and still won't charge past 2 bars anyone have this problem I was told it was a phone issue and not battery but I don't want to buy another battyer till I get a reasonable answer what you guys think anyone have this happen?

I always took the back of the phone off too so that it wasn't coming through 2 little holes through the top. Is the sound quality and volume of the 8900 equal to or greater than the 8300 with its batter door off?

View 5 Replies View Relatedhi. had 8900 for few months on orange uk with data plan. have been using email, internet and windows live and blackberry messenger all fine using either wi fi or mobile now all of a sudden its stop working and i cant use none. when i try to connect to internet i get a msg say this is a wi fi service please ensure your device has a wi fi connection , bb messenger wont send mgs or receive windows live jus says this service is not enabled for this handheld. ive contacted orange but they havnt helped they did say it could be a update of facebook causing problem?. have tried removing battery and restoring removed service books etc nothings fixed. can anyone help plz?

However whenever I check for updates via the blackberry site the desktop manger pops up and does not offer this upgrade. All it says it 4.6.1 (current) and the rest are downgrades, so I'm not quite sure what I need to do to get the new OS to even appear, much less download it and work.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy phone is a curve 8900.......Okay, so yesterday around noon, my bbm starts freezin up in between chats, so I took the phone off and then turned it back on a few times. Seemed to be working fine, though I didnt use bbm again for the rest of the day, that on/off was frustrating enough.....I went to bed last night and had at least one bar of charge. When I woke up this morning the phone is off. Strange....because sometimes I go to bed with the battery on red and it lasts thru the nite. Okay, so I proceed to press the end call button to turn on the phone....nothing... Next move, remove and replace battery and sim card....still nothing...next step......put the phone to charge.... its been charging for two hours now and still nothing...... the red light to the top left of the phone is on & thats it... the phone still is nt coming on..!

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy SSID appears on my display screen beside my carriers name, and UMA replaces edge with the WI-FI logo lit up (white on the left side and black on the right) but when I open the browser the wi-fi logo is grayed out on the top right hand corner (Still UMA). View 7 Replies View RelatedI think I have had this issue since I upgraded to os 5 .411. What happens is while my screen's black or even in standby, the backlight goes on by itself for a few seconds. This interrupts even auto standby. My uncles 8900 didn't have this issue till yesterday when I upgr his bb to os 5 as well. I'm forced to turn my bb upside down at nighttime.
View 14 Replies View Relatedit seems with my new 8900 i picked up i cannot update to any os other than stock 4.6 ver(.231) or downgrade to(.114) to any other version. I have reinstalled dm to the current version and still nothing. I have download multiple new 5.0 os(.348-.411) and deleted the vendor file and when i plug the berry in after installation it goes to check for a update and it does not find any. If you then try to go thru dm and update software it only has those two older versions listed even though i installed the newer ones.

I read that it doesn't wipe memory or anything (unlike my old, non-BB phone)plus the reload time when I turn it back on seems way too quick for the option to even be an "ON/OFF" function. So what does it do, exactly? Is there still battery drainage? And...is there a way to clean up the memory without doing a battery pull?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've just recently starting having this issue with my SMS where a particular thread of SMS's gets "locked" up. That is, I'll get a message, but I can't open it. Doesn't matter if I try opening it using the enter key, the trackball, or by using menu then open. The only way I open them is by having to do a battery pull. Has anyone else had this issue?
