This problem is only affecting one contact, but every time I try to send a text to this contact I get a red X next to the text message content and the message "Requested facility not implemented."Up until Thursday, December 1st I could send text messages to this contact with no trouble.I can still send text messages to my other contacts.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have three email addresses which are picked up directly through my blackberry using the "mobile friendly" versions of the standard webpage.During attempting to check my standard ISP webmail (BT Yahoo), I was confronted by the following.Error: The requested URL could not be retrieved. we can't open the requested web page because of an error with the web page server. If the problem continues, contact the web page administrator. Error code: 10030 That was about 7 hours ago.Since then I have used the same URL on my laptop and successfully accessed, read and sent some mail with no issues and yet my 9300 still shows the same error message and won't progress from that screen. I have tried going through the desktop version of the BT site as well on my BB, still with the same results.

With very slow browsing that mostly fails by saying "Unable to find the requested server" I have a Dlink router model 2730u. I tried restarting the router, resetting it, scanning for the wifi connection, restarting my BB device, Removing the battery for minutes are restarting again. ALL failed. View 1 Replies View Relatedevery time i try to browse the web at home on my curve 9300 with wifi i get the error message 'unable to find requested surver' if i turn wifi off then i can browse with no problems, i have a data plan and have tried the following:-
1, hard device re-boot
2, downgrade to previous software
3, reset my home router
4, turned off wifi, deleted my connection, re-boot then reconnect.
i have also checked trouble shooting and found that 'Blackberry infrastructure' has a connecting error. im starting to pull what little hair i have left from my head
Every time I try to download the app world I get to the 'select download language' screen and when I click 'next' I get *error* in the top left of my screen and a message saying 'sorry the requested item could not be loaded'!

I backed up all my information to my laptop and transferred all my photos off through PC companion, and I just about managed to power down the phone. The thing is I have an offer on the table for spares or repair, but due to the swipe facilty not working I cant do a normal factory reset.

I recently bought an unlocked Lumia 900 in Australia and run it on the Telstra Network. I find it very irritating that the phone has no facility for date and time to be set from the network, particularly as my Lumia 800 did have this facility, as have alll my smartphones for the last few years, including iPhones and various flavours of Android phones, all on the Telstra network. Why does the Lumia 900 not have this facility as it is definitely supported both by the Telstra network and by the previous Lumia 800. It also doesnt help that the Lumia 900 is very inaccurate without this facility. It is beyond belief that the phone does not have what I consider to be basic, taken for granted functionality.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just changed from a BlackBerry to the htc Desire S & am having all sorts of problems trying to persuade it to deal with my pop3 emails. I've religiously followed the instructions & the Incoming settings are accepted but when I put in the Outgoing details it always comes up with "Your outgoing server does not support authentication. Please verify your outgoing server settings". I am not a computer/phone expert but managed to set up my BlackBerry without any problem. In this case, after several failures I copied the settings as in my Outlook Internet email settings. No luck.I contacted the technical dept of Zen (the ISP) they were very knowledgeable & helpful but, after 90 minutes effort finally gave up.
All instructions on the htc site just repeat the user manual instructions which, in this case, does not work. I've emailed htc but have received no reply. I contacted the service provider - Vodafone. They advised that it is difficult to operate pop3 emails with the standard mobile phone Server port at 25 & suggested that I if I wish to use my business email address (rather that getting a new gmail one) then I would be best advised to return the phone & get a new BlackBerry. I find it hard to believe that it is not possible to receive & send normal emails on a modern smartphone & am hoping that someone may be able to guide my through an installation/troubleshooting process that will work.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I have been traveling a lot, and wherever I've been there's one common thing. it costs an arm and a leg to call back to the US from iPhone, regardless if roaming on AT&T, or using that country's local SIM.I have both Google Voice +, and Skype.GV + is nice for texting, but the nature of it's operation is you dial a number and it dials you back to complete the call, which negates the purpose because then it's still using airtime if roaming on AT&T, and if using a foreign SIM it won't dial out to connect the call to an international.Skype is great because when I'm on a hotel's WiFi or 3G network I can use it to call back to the US to toll-free numbers, however it doesn't allow free calls to standard area-code numbers (like homecell phones.Is there any alternative I'm not seeing? What do people use to accomplish this? I would love to see a company like Vonage or MagicJack come up with an application that would do what I'm looking for, but it seems like there are regulatory hurdles they're facing to accomplish it from what I'm reading online.
