I have just upgraded my PC from Win XP to Win 7 and am looking for a compatible organizer software for my Curve 8520. In the past I have used Outlook but wonder if there are other applications (possible free ones) which would do the job. I need address book and calendar.

Also, mine is Grey OEM by Telus. I just don't know what colour i'll customize it, any Idea? I like black and white just like my old Tour, but there's white 8520 so it would be less unique

Well, im not a very heavy BB user but ive never had my batt go dead on me but it happened! i totally couldnt turn my phone on until i put in my charger.Then it happens randomly whereby my phone will heat up and the battery drops 5% every 10mins or so! until it shuts off!! It happened once right after i fully charged my phone and it shut off within the next hour.Anyone knows whats happening?? i suspected whether it was any of my installed apps that are draining my batt, so i shut off everything! i mean no msn no foursquare no twitter only emails are on but yet it still happens!!Help please? i hope its just the batt thats screwed not my phone.

They all are on my Outlook. Since I changed email account, I can no longer synchronize my organiser (calendar etc) between my phone and my outlook on my computer.

After downloading the updates to the software, I am now unable to sync media (i.e. I get a message saying "Media Options not available") so my photos have been accumulating on my phone. Also, I cannot seem to configure my organizer (i.e. calendar, tasks, contacts) to my Yahoo email - the only option is Outlook, but again, I used to be able to do this and cannot do so anymore.

I have set up the BB to handle work emails and these work and synch fine between the BB and my outlook on my laptop.But calendar synching is not working at all.... BB help tells me to go to the organizer app (eg calendar) press menu key > options > select the Wireless Synchronization check box.However, this check box just doesnt exist.

Just one irritation, to which I wonder if anyone has a solution. If I switch the phone off for any reason, when I switch it back on, the folders are all still on the home screen, with the icon I have attributed to the folder, but the names all change to 'Apps label'.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi recently went into facebook on my bbb i have not done this before and afterwards noticed my organizer/calendar appointments all had green lines beside them and when i whent to sync my phone to update my appointments it said my default had changed to facebook, and if i wanted to go back to the original then it said cancel 56 appointments. i do not want to lose this info and am not sure what to do. i also tried to back up my phone which i do not know how to do well to save this info but cannot see any of my appointments on my desktop computer

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an ATT 8520 Curve unlocked to work with a tmobile sim card and have a few questions...Now that's unlocked I cant setup an external email account (hotmail, gmail, etc...) that icon is missing from the setup section. how can I get that feature? can I also use the bbm feature? I added a friend (and vice-versa) but it just stays as pending. is it possible to bbm? for the above 2 do i need to get the bb data plan so they can work? I've read elsewhere that the best way to get the features would be to load the tmobile handheld software. I went to tmobiles site, I enter my ph# - select the 8520 - click on handheld and it takes me to their 'shop for phones' page. I guess they now by the number that i dont currently have a bb. So I tried a friends ph# from tmobile who has a bb and it still took me to the 'shop for phones' page. So I Am hoping it's just a link glitch going on right now. I did download from this forum the 5.0 OS "8520wifiM_PBr5.0.0_rel860_PL5.2.0.47_A5.0.0.509_W ind_Hellas.exe" which obviously is not tmobile. What would loading this different OS allow me to do? Or what features will I have available? and I have lowercase 'edge'.

We now have official word from RIM via press release today that unless you have a 9650, 9700, or Pearl3G you have to buy a new phone to get OS 6:"Subject to carrier certifications in the months ahead, the new OS is expected to be available for the BlackBerry® Bold™ 9700, BlackBerry® Bold™ 9650 and BlackBerry® Pearl™ 3G, as well as future BlackBerry smartphones."
That being said, are you going to be dumping your 8520/30 for something new just to get OS6?
got a 8520 a couple of months ago, and after two weeks the phone speaker would break up when making a call, so you could only hear 1 in 3 words someone was saying, and inbetween was silence.T-mobile sent me a new one out next day, but now after 4 months the new one has started doing it.Can make calls fine with ear piece, speakerphone is working for playing music, haven't tried it for calls, and handset speaker works fine for music too, but breaks up when phoning anyoneThe second time it happened was just after okaying an upgrade. Anyone heard of this before?

View 8 Replies View RelatedFor reasons unknown my desktop organizer section suddenly says 'calender (not installed)'.I have not knowingly reconfigured anything. but clearly I cannot sync the calender now.I have tried removing the software and reinstalling but the same problem persists.I recently removed the BBM and Facebook applications on my device by using the desktop facility as they were annoying as they sought to access my calender, I do not know if that is connected with this issue?
View 8 Replies View RelatedAfter the 2.3.4 update, the calendar will show the incorrect organizer name for appointments that I have created. This only occurs when there is more than 1 Google account setup on the device.
example: The main account on my device is Joe@gmail.com, the secondary account is Bob@gmail.com. I create an appointment on the Joe@gmail.com calendar. On the Atrix Calendar it will show the appointment organizer as Bob@gmail.com.
If I click "show attendee details", the information is correct.
All my pals are suddenly getting into Blackberry Messenger. For some reason i do not have the icon on my 8300 and whenever i try to download it i get a not compatible message back. can anybody out there help at all?
