BB Curve :: 9350 Keeps Rebooting When Trying To Download New Apps
May 30, 2012
I just got a Blackberry Curve 9350 from Sprint over the weekend. I downloaded some apps and everything went fine. Today, I had a notification to upgrade App World, well the upgrade was successful, and I clicked yes to allow the device to restart as soon as the upgrade was finished. Now, whenever I try to download a new application, the phone seemingly downloads it but then the screen turns black when the download is finished and will reboot itself. The new apps aren't found on the device afterwards. What is happening, how can I download the apps I want?
I have a 6 day old Curve 9350. Whenever I do any heavy internet. i.e. streaming video, downloading music, loading w web pages (tabs) at once, etc. it just reboots. It acts like it overheats, but it never gets to the point where it gets hot. I'm trying to get it swapped out with Sprint. Or is this warranty thing?
I just got my phone yesterday. when i opened the app wprld it asked me to upgrade and redirected me to a site from where i could upgrade it. however, that kept giving me an error. i delete the app world completely reboot my phone and then try downloading the app world on my handset. i did that just now but it still keeps giving me the same error which says
"Error: Invalid manifest or application descriptor. The "MIDlet-Name" attribute is missing"
I just upgraded some apps on my BB 9360 of just a few days after which I tried restarting the BB over an hour ago. But it just keeps rebooting over and over again without the phone coming up. I charged IT for over an hour thinking probably the battery was low, but to no avail. What to do as the BB just keeps rebooting.
I own a Blackberry Curve 9350 and my carrier is US Cellular. Does anyone have some suggestions where I can download loud ringtones? I am a metal sculptor and the studio is usually active with a bit of noise always going on... I am looking for ringtones that are Curve 9350 friendly and loud enough to be heard over grinding and welding.
I just got my Blackberry curve 9350 on Tuesday and it says my memory card is full already but I only have 2 songs and 10 pics. Is there a bigger card to buy or a different way to store info?
Is there any way to remove or disable the emoticons on the curve 9350? When I receive automated text messages after the subject and a colon, there are these goofy looking smiley faces that I would prefer not be there.
Curve 9350 CDMA: I have activated my BBM and other services, and have got the confirmation for activation of services by my service provider- TATA INDICOM. Where on my device I am unable to start any of the services. When spoken to customercare- They said Device is not regiesterd with Blackberry team. When contacted to BlackBerry Team- they provided with an info that device is registerd that is why i m able to make calls and texts.how to get activation of BBM and other services I have activated services of postpaid plan. This is first time I upgraded to BlackBerry Services for CDMA.
bb 8520 won't download apps from the bb apps store. I have the latest software and have cleared the cache but when I download apps all I get is this app is unavailable?
Recently purchased a Blackberry Curve 9350. Phone will not hold a charge or receive signal inside structures. Is this a "hardware" problem, or carrier network problem or both?
I have a BB Curve 8520 for 2 weeks now and I still cannot download apps.At first, I had the 4.6 version and I couldn't find BB apps world on my BB so I uprgraded it (5v).Now I have BB apps world I have the possibility to download apps but it doesn't work! Every time I get the same message "Cannot download apps from Blackberry app world...".
i tried to update my curve but now it keeps rebooting and then saying linking java and the rebooting again. i tried to connect it to blackberry desktop software but i cant because it keeps rebooting.
I recently received a message telling me that an update was available for App World. I downloaded the update, installed it and rebooted. Now I am unable to download apps. When I hit the download button it takes me to the sign in for BlackBerry ID, then to terms and conditions and then to my ID settings! The only way I can get off this screen is to press Discard, which takes me back to where I started! I just keep going round in circles.
I have created my BB ID and password and when i go to log into app world it says Authenticating" then its says "An error has occurred. Please try again later."I have tried taking my battery out for over a minute and that has rebooted it but it still doesnt work.
I recently purchased a BB Curve 9300. In the beginning I could download apps through my PC. Now I get an error message that says that I have the content protection and can not download any apps.
everytime i try download an app now on my bb it keeps saying whatever the app is is not available for download from blackberry app world! its quite annoying as it was working last wk!
Whenever i choose an app I try to download it, but when asked to sign in to Blackberry app world i type in my email and password and it then comes back with the message "cannot validate email address or password" I have came online via my pc and checked into Blackberry world with my email and password. So Blackberry world do have my email and password
I'm getting slightly frustrated at my Curve 8520's complete inability to download any apps ?I go into the App world, select the app I want and click "download". It then asks me to enter in my blackberry ID which I do, it then takes me to my information [such as email, username] and gives me options to change my password and recovery question but nothing else. I can't go forward and if I go back I just start again with the download screen and go around in circles!I've uninstalled and reinstalled app world, I've updated the OS, I've tried sending the link from my laptop to the BB but nothing works and I'm getting a tad cranky.
I recently brought the new 9320. I have the basic San Disk memory card which come with the Blackberry. Also as soon as I brought the phone I downloaded the Blackberry Desktop Support software. The desktop software and the storage options on the phone both say that I have a 14.4MB remaining on the phone storage and 1.4GB remaining on my memory card. When I attempt to download apps on the phone through my Wi-Fi it says that there is not enough space remaining. I assume that the phone only attempts to download the app to the device memory. Is there a way that I can get the phone to automatically download the app directly to my memory card? Or is there some other problem which is stopping me downloading apps?
I am usinng Blackberry Curve 8520. Recntly i have installed blackberry app world plugin in PC and I have updated my blackberry app world but I am unable to download apps from blackberry site.when i try to sign in site is not loading and i am not able to do any thing.
I have a bit unussual problem, I can NOT download any app from Blackberry App World. When I select any app and 'click' 'Download' I'm asked to accept 'Blackberry App World and Blackberry Payment Service Addendum To The Blackberry ID Agreement' and after accepting I see 'Please Wait" icon for few seconds but after that nothing happens at all.
I've had my BB 8900 for 1 week and I'm already thinking it is the single worst thing I've ever purchased.I've got the problem whereby I cannot download apps from BBAW (18 icon and skysports - one paid for, the other free). I've tried every fix found on forums and from google'ing the problem. What works for some is not working for me. I'm getting the error "There was a problem during installation. try again" Then:Blackberry App World is having trouble connecting to the Blackberry App World server. Verify your network connections and try again." BBAW then closes and nada.I've tried updating my BB, changing me BB id, paypal logon, resetting the BBAW using the ALT RST thingy, tried wireless on, wireless off, turning all connections off, restarting the device, hard reset, soft reset, logging out of BBAW, closing the app etc. Tried all the KB's found online and un/reinstallign BBAW. I've googled this for the last 3 days, constantly. Is there anything else I can try before I smash what started to be a great phone into pieces on the back of the useless BBAW.
Device info:
Orange UK 8900 v5.0.0.681 Platform 5.2.0.67 Apps and free space BBAW 2.1.1.2 BB maps 5.0.0
New & in need of help.September 09 purchased a Curve 8900 for my daughter (14yrs) carrier is T-Mobile.
She now wants to add a few apps from -> http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/topfree
Facebook:Quick Search with Google
Am I correct that she need to download "BlackBerry App World" first? Assuming that this IS the case I tried this but we get an error message stating her device is not compatible??
software is 4.2.0.127 if that helps any? Internet access is via the home network only, this works fine as far as we know.
I bought a 9300 literally yesterday, and I'm using it with my current contract sim (which includes data) until I can get a blackberry contract.Apart from the fact that I was abroad this morning, had to turn off mobile services and use only wifi, and I couldn't browse past google (I did use the hotspot browser)...I want to set up my email even though I read I can't get push until I get BB service. However I seem to be lacking the wizard. When I try to set up an email account I get asked whether I have something something Enterprise (which I don't) and can't answer anything but yes. There is a selected dot I can't de-select. So I can't use my email. Also I didn't have App World, so I downloaded it from the browser, and now its in my menu. However if I try and log in with my BB account I get an error and the app crashes, even though the details are correct. So I can't download anything.
I bought my BB Curve 9360 second hand and, despite making sure I was on a BB supported contract with Orange, have never been able to successfully download apps from appworld. I press 'download' and up comes the Agree/ Disagree box, which disappears after I select 'Agree'. And then - nothing. It has returned to the previous screen detailing information about the app and when I check my downloads, there it isn't. I have experienced a similar thing when I go on the payment methods option - I select 'Agree' and the screen doesn't change. I've been on several other forums but can't find any which have the same problem.I don't understand whether it's my BB or Orange or what?!
