If phone is turned off and left overnight, or for a few hours, it won't turn back on even though the battery is fine. To power it back on I need to put it on charge - it then automatically reboots and will work OK.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded the blackberry desktop software to update my software then plugged in my phone. It automatically begins to back up but freezes at RMS databases 12 of 13 records. I ctrl, alt, del to end program then have to take my battery out of phone to get it to work again. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the desktop software but it just keeps freezzing. This is driving me insane as I am not technically minded.

I wiped my phone thinking it would fix it but it didnt. My network is Vodafone.Is there a way to reinstall the version 1875 language pack, install it into 2647 language pack? I don't want to load it back into the old version 1875, but to load it in the new version of 2647.

I tried turning it on manually with the red pone button, but that did nothing. I too the battery out, and then put it back in to reboot it. By the time I got back to a charger I noticed that it wouldn't turn on and when I plugged it into the wall, it wouldn't charge or indicate with the LED light that it was charging. I decided to pull out my battery and put it back in, and there was no results. I did the same thing but this time I plugged it into the computer, my curve was still inresponsive. I also left it plugged into a wall unit for +3 hours, when I came back, it still wasn't working.
TL;DR (too long; didn't read): My Curve won't turn on, the screen is completley black and the LED light doesn't flash or even turn on.

I plugged it in - to the wall - to charge earlier today and at that point it seemed fine - when I went back to check it, though, the screen was blank with a red light. I've tried turning it on, but the loading screen comes up, loads a tiny part of the way, and then a blank white screen appears, then I get an icon of a battery with a red cross through it.

I seem to remember getting emails from Blackberry (or maybe vodafone) saying I needed to click on a link or something to say I wanted to continue using the service (this happened about a year into using them). I never did this because at the time I was not longer using emails, so I just let it expire (or whatever).Anyway, I was wondering I would now turn the email address back on. I have tried setting up a new account (with the same email address), but it won't let me as that email address is still registered (obviously!). Anyone have any ideas how to do it? Also, my email password has changed since then. Will that make a difference?
Also, whilst I am here, on the top of my phone's screen on the top left hand corner (kinda central though!) I have a 1 with a black circle next to it with an arrow inside the circle point kind of downwards (about 8 o clock direction). Does anyone know what this is about and how to get rid of it? I seems to related to my Blackberry App World in the 'My World' section. It asks me for my email address and password, but obviously I don't have it set up. Pressing cancel won't get rid of it!
I had my phone on charge all night as per usual and i woke up to a white screen. I thought nothing of it as it has done this loads before so i took the battery out and put it back in and it worked. I then went to get a drink and when i returned my phone was off. It wont turn back on no matter what i do. Charged the battery up and phone worked fine and I turned it off before going to bed.
The phone turned on fine this morning and was showing a full charge. I did turn it off when I got to work and when I went to turn it back on when I went to lunch I got nothing. The LED glows briefly and faintly when I try to power the phone on.
