BB Curve :: 9300 Squashed - How To Get Data / It Won't Turn On
Apr 11, 2012
My curve 9300 got squashed and the screen is black with shapes pressed into it, I am insured so I am waiting on the new one but obviously I need to get all my data off the phone. it wont turn on & therefore can't be recognized by my PC and b/berry desktop manager, which is the only solution I can see.
I recently activated a BB Curve 9300 on a basic talk & text plan (I don't have a data plan at the moment, I do plan on updating my plan in the near future). I'm within wi-fi range almost 99.99% of the time, so I was wondering:Can I connect to my home router using Wi-Fi without being charged for data usage? Can I install apps from BB App World (downloaded from my desktop) onto my device without being charged? Can I use things such as BBM while connected to Wi-Fi, without a data plan?
I have a Blackberry Curve 9300. It had charge in it Saturday night... I went to bed woke up Sunday morning ... and it was off.
It will not turn on its competely dead, its not wet or anything. I tried to charge. No use, no red light coming on. I used a friends charged. It does nothing whatsoever. I have tried to 'wedge' paper to getthe battery to make better contact as i thought it maybe a bit loose
My blackberry curve 9300 3G wont turn on ! first it started with it freezing without the rotating clock in the middle of it and i have been taking the battery out of it. I wiped my phone thinking it would fix it but it didnt. This has been happenig for the past two weeks and yesterday it would not turn on at all so i took the battery, sim card and memory card out and left it all night and it still wont come on! ive charged it and nothings happened and ive plugged it into the laptop and nothing has happened i just dont know what is wrong with it and ive only had it 5 months.
i have followed the instructions, my phone just wont simply turn on, or connect to the pc, even when i followed that, there's no red light when i hold the on button, there's no sign of connectivity when i connect it?
I recently purchased a Curve 9300 and haven't even had it 1 week. I keep getting a notice saying 'The data service not operational' whenever I try to access Appworld..this occurred after I downloaded and deleted an app I didn't want and after restarting the phone this has happened. I tried removing the battery for 30 seconds and this still has not worked?
I have a BB Curve 9300. It was updated yesterday to connect with the Blackberry server at work. After the IT person had done this, so that my BB is now synched with my work Outlook program, I found that I had all my work contacts in the BB and had lost all the personal contacts which had been on the BB before he got to work on it. They had not been backed up. I guess tehre's no way to restore them is there? I then backed up my wife's BB contacts from her old Curve 8320 onto my Mac using the BB desktop software. But when I tried to restore that data to my BB, it said that it was a read-only database and could not be restored.
i just bought a curve 9300, and a sim card and transferred my service over. bbm, text services and phone services are all working but data is not. none of my apps - facebook, twitter, shazam, Internet.. my browser isn't working either.
they all say that my data plan isn't compatible, or doesn't exist. i've tried reloading os, tried connecting to the network, registering the host routing table, apn is checked off, telus says it's not my plan that's interfering. anyone know how i can fix this?
i managed to get emails to come through. (also, sorry if this is in the wrong spot!)
If phone is turned off and left overnight, or for a few hours, it won't turn back on even though the battery is fine. To power it back on I need to put it on charge - it then automatically reboots and will work OK.
After charging my curve 9300 overnight, I unplugged the charger, and the phone did not turn on automatically. I tried turning it on manually with the red pone button, but that did nothing. I too the battery out, and then put it back in to reboot it. The phone still wouldn't turn on and the only sign of life was a long red LED light, before that went off.
Ive tried to restart my phone by taking the battery out, multiple times for the past few hours, my phone begins to load but it only loads up to three quarters of the way up the bar and freezes every time I have waited for 3 hours for it to turn on properly and it still hasnt?
9300 is unable to turn wifi on.She can turn on everything but wifi (even bluetooth). When she checks the box by "wi-fi", the phone loads for a while, and then automatically stops and the box is unchecked. We don't know what it is, soft orhardware
I find very difficult to edit large number of contacts on my 9300 Curve. Is it possible to find converter for ipd file to an excel where editing can be done easily and the upload the contacts back to the BB 9300.
I am using blackberry protect to backup data. The backup went well as usual, though I cannot restore my Phone Number/contacts as it says: "This data is wirelessly synchronized with a remote service and cannot be restored by blackberry protect". This has resulted me not having any phone numbers. How do I restore my phone numbers? I have BB a curve 9300(3g)
A couple days ago my blackberry curve's battery died while I was on a bus. By the time I got back to a charger I noticed that it wouldn't turn on and when I plugged it into the wall, it wouldn't charge or indicate with the LED light that it was charging. I decided to pull out my battery and put it back in, and there was no results. I did the same thing but this time I plugged it into the computer, my curve was still inresponsive. I also left it plugged into a wall unit for +3 hours, when I came back, it still wasn't working.
TL;DR (too long; didn't read): My Curve won't turn on, the screen is completley black and the LED light doesn't flash or even turn on.
I forgot my blackberry security password and I had key in wrong password five time, I was asked to key in blackberry number and I got only one more chance to get it right otherwise all the information installed on the device will be wipe out. What is blackberry number? and how to get one because I don't want to loss all the data in these phone.
My month-old Blackberry Curve 9300 won't turn on. I plugged it in - to the wall - to charge earlier today and at that point it seemed fine - when I went back to check it, though, the screen was blank with a red light. I've tried turning it on, but the loading screen comes up, loads a tiny part of the way, and then a blank white screen appears, then I get an icon of a battery with a red cross through it.
I am trying to turn on the mass storage mode. I have found the information how to do this but when I go into Options from any icon the relevant list does not come up. When you highlight an icon, click on the Blackberry key and then on options it comes up with 'Home Screen Preferences' at the top of the page, not the menu I was expecting.
I just got a Curve 9300 2 weeks ago and it was working perfectly until one morning the browser stopped working. Everytime i press on the browser icon, nothing happens even when i'm connected to wi-fi. When i open emails using my limited data plan and try to open the links, nothing happens. I mean, i get to open the mail but not the links in it.
I am unable to turn on my GPS Data Source. When I go into Location Settings if I click to change the GPS Data Source from 'none' it comes up with a black box round the word none. The same thing happens when I scroll to Location Off, it just comes up with a black box and does not offer any other options. The Location Data is Enabled and it will also let me change to Disabled or Disabled while Roaming. how I can switch my GPS Data Source on. Maybe this is why I cannot access the Facebook Places application??
Does anyone know of a way to set up the 9330 Curve to quickly turn data services off or on? When in the office, I want the phone to be on, but not data services. I wish there were a way to set up a smartkey to turn off or on data services
Going on a cruise next week that has GSM roaming on it. I plan to leave the phone off unless I need to check in with someone in US.I know that the voice rate will be $4.99 per minute, but how do I turn off the data portion of the phone to not rack up crazy roaming data charges. I do have unlimited international email but suspect the cruise ship does not count.
what does this mean? i just got my iPhone 4 today and i was on the road (apple store is an hour drive from where i live) and i was texing my friends, had:
celluar data: OFF enable 3g: OFF data roaming: OFF
and i kept getting this response "turn on cellular data or use Wi-FI to access data" anyone know how to fix this? am i suppose to leave Cellular data on? i turned it off because i thought it would be wasting data. (got 200MB plan)
Curve 9300 I have it set to be on for my Home wifi network but i need to turn it off briefly.I cant seem to get that done.So how do I turn off wifi on this phone?
My phone has been off for the past 5 days and wen i switched it on this morning it would not switch on. I've removed the battery, put it back in and it still wont switch on. All it show is a dead battery sign. I've been charging it for the past 4 hours and it still shows the same sign. A red flashing light keeps goin on and off and i dont know what that indicates. Do i need a new battery or the phone has a fault?
I am experiencing very frustrating battery issues on my BB Curve 9300. I bought the device a month ago and had a brand new battery installed in no later than yesterday.Battery life is about 3 to 5 hours at the very best, whilst I am not using any specific 3rd party application. In addition, the "clock" apprears on a very frequent basis, slowing the system dramatically.I do not have any files saved on the media card ... Wi-fi has been disabled already as have Bluetooth. LAt, connection the mobile network is fine so I do not believe it has to do with the device desperately seeking connection.PS: I am based in France with SFR being my provider.
I am using a C5-03 as my company phone and the company phone plane doesn't include data. May I know how to turn off the data connectivity such that there is no chance ever of me accidentally going on 3G internet networks/GPS/any data transfers at all?
