Okay this phone was perfect when I first got it 2 years ago. All of a sudden this phone would just turn off and turn back on by itself. It does it at least 6x a day and it irritates me. What could be the problem here? I'm thinking of buying the N97 instead.

my phone other than recently the battery life has been pretty bad all of a sudden (I think it's my charger) , anyways I was outside taking a picture on my phone and as soon as it took the picture the screen went black and it was completely unresponsive, tried turning it on, reset, nothing worked. I took the battery out and back in and It turned on, BUT then my time and date was completely wrong and for some reason since the time and date was wrong it made my internet not work.

Yesterday I turned off my Nokia e63 device. When I tried to turn it back on I held down the power button until it vibrated as normal, the centre light came on as normal however the screen stays black and it won't turn on. I've tried recharging it thinking it could possibly be a dead battery but that hasn't worked I've also tried to plug it into my computer and that hasn't worked. I've also removed the battery several times as well as the sim card but nothing seems to work.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Nokia 5630 got wet. After that I dissembled it and dried it. Everything was ok beforer the second reboot. Thats when I reseted my phone. It obviously failed. Now when I plug my phone in to charge (either to usb or just power) the blue light on the back (on top of the 3,2 MPix camera) is always on until the battery runs out. I have tried the *,3,answer button (green) trick and that also didn't work. My phone just won't turn on.Also, I have tried removing the sim card (as shown in the attachment) and memory card and that didn't work either.

I've spent just over a week looking for an answer, searching Google and forums.The screen is very dull on the main menu, to the extent that to see any data on it you need to be in a very dark room. The screen saver however is just as bright as it has always been, brighter in fact.
I've turned the screen brightness up to full but this made no difference. It is almost as if the back light has been turned off.Does anyone know how to turn the back light on or even any resolution of this so I can use the phone during the day.

I purchased my N97 about a year ago and I absolutely adore it. I haven't run into any problems until last week. When I turn on my phone, enter the unlock code and use it to do whatever I need to do, it works fine. However, if I lock the phone or let the backlight shut off, it won't turn back on and neither do the lights on the number keys. Here is the funny part: If I press the power key (as if I were to change my profile) the backlight turns on, allowing me to see the screen, but the number keys don't light up! Does anyone know what I can do?
I'm not very tech savvy (so please don't laugh if my solutions are completely wrong), but here are some of the things I have done to try and rectify the problem:
- Let the battery drain completely and charged it in the hopes that it would rectify itself like it has in the past with other issues
- Took out the battery, SIM card and memory card just to make sure everything was inserted properly
- Restored the phone to factory settings
I understand the maps don't support turn by turn voice guiding at this stage, but I thought ovi maps would at least be able to show a driving view instead of a birds eye view for navigation...Might be a bit of a lamens question, but if anyone could shed some light, I'd appreciate it. I'm in Australia and Sygic is not available. I'd purchase it if it was available.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAround a week ago I used a friends 'selfie stick'. The same day I was walking around Windsor and noted that the phone had powered down. I tried pressing the power key, but the phone did not turn on. I took the battery out, replaced it and then the phone came back on.
The problem now seems to reoccur when I have put my phone in my back pocket and either walk some distance, or keep it in my back pocket in the car (for some reason).
i have put a nokia ck7w into my car yesterday. my ck7w does not turn on when i turn on the car and sometimes it turns itself off. all of the connections are 100% secure and the fuses are fine. i have to use the nokia button to turn it on but i would like it to turn on when i turn the key. i have connected the red wire to the +12v from my cd player, the blue wire to the cd player's ignition line, the black wire to the cd player's ground and the yellow wire to the cd player's mute connection. what do i do. the kit does automatically turn itself off when i turn off the car.

If phone is turned off and left overnight, or for a few hours, it won't turn back on even though the battery is fine. To power it back on I need to put it on charge - it then automatically reboots and will work OK.

I seem to remember getting emails from Blackberry (or maybe vodafone) saying I needed to click on a link or something to say I wanted to continue using the service (this happened about a year into using them). I never did this because at the time I was not longer using emails, so I just let it expire (or whatever).Anyway, I was wondering I would now turn the email address back on. I have tried setting up a new account (with the same email address), but it won't let me as that email address is still registered (obviously!). Anyone have any ideas how to do it? Also, my email password has changed since then. Will that make a difference?
Also, whilst I am here, on the top of my phone's screen on the top left hand corner (kinda central though!) I have a 1 with a black circle next to it with an arrow inside the circle point kind of downwards (about 8 o clock direction). Does anyone know what this is about and how to get rid of it? I seems to related to my Blackberry App World in the 'My World' section. It asks me for my email address and password, but obviously I don't have it set up. Pressing cancel won't get rid of it!
I had my phone on charge all night as per usual and i woke up to a white screen. I thought nothing of it as it has done this loads before so i took the battery out and put it back in and it worked. I then went to get a drink and when i returned my phone was off. It wont turn back on no matter what i do. I have tried taking the battery out and putting it back in, i have tried charging it and i have tried leaving the battery out for a while before putting it back in and nothing. I even tried the 4h15m process and it didn't work. I woke up this morning and it still won't do anything.

Tried multiple battery pulls and tried to connect via USB to the computer but it will not sync being that the phone is not on. I took it into my carrier today and they hooked it up to the computer and said that I just needed to update the software. This was fine, but by the time I got home my phone had shut off and I cannot get it to turn back on to do the updates.I have been searching these forums for hours and the only solution I can find is to wipe the phone clean and put a new OS on it. I have downloaded a new OS and I have tried several times to put in onto the phone but I can't get it to work. I have opened the application loader, but when it gets to the device application selection screen, there are no options for me to select. I tried to go into my files and choose the OS that I just downloaded but an error pops up (XML syntax error on line1) to be specific.
