View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a nokia 5130-c2 xm for about a year and a half but i only used it for about 11 months but the other months it went for repairs 3 times. 1st time it displayed a massage "contact service"(needed a firmware upgrade from version 6.6). 2nd & 3rd time it never wanted to boot like when windows on your pc never loaded. Now the 4th time is near, not even a month has passed since i went to collect my repaired phone. Would you say the device its self is faulty or just the firmware. I never went to sites that could send me viruses or use any other themes(custom) just wanna know if i should request a new phone since i still have 6 months of warranty left.

What I press the headset button short the phone tries to make voice dialing, i.e. it listens to some word said and tries to make a fit from my phonebook and then dial it. The problem is that this button is pressed accidentally and then the phone hears some noises and find a "match" - which is basically picking one of the names stored in random - the result is a phone call to some people that I saved their number years ago leading to embarrassing results. I tried to disable this feature. I couldn't. Any feature of the phone can be turned off except this one!! I don't want voice dialing enabled what can I do!

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy Nokia 5630 got wet. After that I dissembled it and dried it. Everything was ok beforer the second reboot. Thats when I reseted my phone. It obviously failed. Now when I plug my phone in to charge (either to usb or just power) the blue light on the back (on top of the 3,2 MPix camera) is always on until the battery runs out. I have tried the *,3,answer button (green) trick and that also didn't work. My phone just won't turn on.Also, I have tried removing the sim card (as shown in the attachment) and memory card and that didn't work either.

I've spent just over a week looking for an answer, searching Google and forums.The screen is very dull on the main menu, to the extent that to see any data on it you need to be in a very dark room. The screen saver however is just as bright as it has always been, brighter in fact.
I've turned the screen brightness up to full but this made no difference. It is almost as if the back light has been turned off.Does anyone know how to turn the back light on or even any resolution of this so I can use the phone during the day.
I purchased my N97 about a year ago and I absolutely adore it. I haven't run into any problems until last week. When I turn on my phone, enter the unlock code and use it to do whatever I need to do, it works fine. However, if I lock the phone or let the backlight shut off, it won't turn back on and neither do the lights on the number keys. Here is the funny part: If I press the power key (as if I were to change my profile) the backlight turns on, allowing me to see the screen, but the number keys don't light up! Does anyone know what I can do?
I'm not very tech savvy (so please don't laugh if my solutions are completely wrong), but here are some of the things I have done to try and rectify the problem:
- Let the battery drain completely and charged it in the hopes that it would rectify itself like it has in the past with other issues
- Took out the battery, SIM card and memory card just to make sure everything was inserted properly
- Restored the phone to factory settings
My boy got hold of the phone and managed to change the settings?

The problem is that when I chose: Menu - Settings - Device - Operator selection - manual, the phone switches back to the home screen.It means my Asha is not looking for any other operator.
