Oct 10, 2012I am currently traveling and I would like to chose the strongest company in this region. The problem is that when I chose: Menu - Settings - Device - Operator selection - manual, the phone switches back to the home screen.It means my Asha is not looking for any other operator. It remains at the end on automatically.Since I have the phone it is like this, latest update is installed and no change.

Jan 29, 2012i was updating my 5130 (bought 3 yrs ago) when suddenly it shut off, then i read it was part of the update...until it never turn on.totally off.everytime i pressing the power button, not even a light or whatsover comes out.i charged it but still nothing happened. i tried my friend's battery (same model) still nothing happened.

Nov 15, 2011Maybe this was posted already but i couldn't find it so here goes.My phone was turned off for like 2 weeks,and then i charged it and tried to start it it vibrated(like usual),the nokia blue letter logo showed and then it just stopped,the keyboard lights didn't light on and it just kept showing the logo.After 2 minutes the logo dispeard and the screen was white and only white.

Sep 23, 2011I used my phone extensively for a little more than a couple of years. Yesterday night the battery died and I connected the charger and started it. I got an error on startup saying "Contact Service".
I heard this sort of thing is normally solved by a firmware reflashing. But I need my contacts and calendar.

Sep 7, 2011i have a nokia 5130-c2 xm for about a year and a half but i only used it for about 11 months but the other months it went for repairs 3 times. 1st time it displayed a massage "contact service"(needed a firmware upgrade from version 6.6). 2nd & 3rd time it never wanted to boot like when windows on your pc never loaded. Now the 4th time is near, not even a month has passed since i went to collect my repaired phone. Would you say the device its self is faulty or just the firmware. I never went to sites that could send me viruses or use any other themes(custom) just wanna know if i should request a new phone since i still have 6 months of warranty left.

Jul 19, 2012I purchased Asha 302 about 20 days ago and while going through the features when I recorded some voice using voice recorded output was distorted, I contacted Nokia support through email and was told to restore factory setting. After doing the same I recorded and played AMR file it was fine but as soon as I received a call and then I checked the same recorded AMR file it was againt distorted. I reported same to Nokia support and was told to contact Nokia Care Centre which I visited yesterday there NCC people re-installed the software/OS but the problem persists. I was told that phone has to be sent back to company. I am having another Nokia C2 phone which is fine and no such problem there in that model.
