BB Curve :: 8900 Can't Be Turned On
Mar 8, 2011my battery was low for few hours and my bb was automatically turned off. I am now charging it - the red light is on but it cannot be turned on! what should i do?

BB Curve :: 8900 Getting Hotter And Not Starting When Turned Off
May 7, 2011I was using my Curve 8900 earlier today and it got hotter than usual and then I turned it off and later tried to turn it back on and it wouldn't turn on, I then removed the battery and put it back in, the red/orange light came on (where the light is that informs you that you have a text.. etc) and then it wouldn't turn on.... I later charged it and it is now working again, is my battery dead??

Mar 3, 2010Last night my 8900 turned off at its scheduled time and I went to bed. I woke up this morning a little ahead of my alarm clock and waited for the alarm on my phone. Nothing happened. I picked up the phone and there was nothing. I plugged it in and found the battery drained all the way. This has not happened before but I also need to note that I did have trouble yesterday which I seemed to have resolved. I cant post links yet but the email folders disappeared and I did a wipe and restored from the last known good backup.
What is going on with this crazy phone ?

May 24, 2010So expect a problem you've all probably heard of a thousand and one times!.. But do please help! This thing is very frustrating! I'm hoping there's some professionals on this forum!
Here's my problem....As soon as I turn on my BlackBerry, it heats up quicker than a kettle!
I bought a brand new battery for it today as well. So it can't be the battery.
Someone suggested holding shift, alt and delete (for a soft reset)...which didn't work/help. They also said it could be the OS.. but it's currently using the latest OS?! Perhaps I need a downgrade?! I'm really not sure.

May 22, 2010I had an 8310 and just bought an 8900 brand new off of eBay. I used the 8310's speakerphone A LOT for listening to music and loved it! I always took the back of the phone off too so that it wasn't coming through 2 little holes through the top. Is the sound quality and volume of the 8900 equal to or greater than the 8300 with its batter door off?

Jan 20, 2010hi. had 8900 for few months on orange uk with data plan. have been using email, internet and windows live and blackberry messenger all fine using either wi fi or mobile now all of a sudden its stop working and i cant use none. when i try to connect to internet i get a msg say this is a wi fi service please ensure your device has a wi fi connection , bb messenger wont send mgs or receive windows live jus says this service is not enabled for this handheld. ive contacted orange but they havnt helped they did say it could be a update of facebook causing problem?. have tried removing battery and restoring removed service books etc nothings fixed. can anyone help plz?

Jun 29, 2010I recently purchased a blackberry 8900 and am trying to upgrade the software to the newest version (5.0 I assume). However whenever I check for updates via the blackberry site the desktop manger pops up and does not offer this upgrade. All it says it 4.6.1 (current) and the rest are downgrades, so I'm not quite sure what I need to do to get the new OS to even appear, much less download it and work.

Jun 3, 2014My IPhone 5 suddenly turned off and can not be turned on.
It prompts me to use connect to iTunes . I have done all iTunes updates but it says it cannot be restored due to error 14.
It restored correctly once this weekend and functioned for all of an hour before it died.
I'm afraid I'm within days of the one year warranty. Because I live in a rural area I can't get to a Rogers or IApple store I cannot conveniently take it in for replacement or repair. Â
