I'm not sure if this happened after my upgrade to .592, but when I hang up after a call or close the camera, I hear the country song "Your Man". It is so weird. I have my profile as Vibrate, event sounds off, even turned it to silent, it still plays.

I realized yesterday that when I deleted hundreds of photos from my SD card, there were 'empty' files still sitting in my photo album on my bb.. (icon is of a piece of paper with a drawing of mountains and a sun, with a green arrow pointing to the left) Sorry, this is my first post so I can't post a photo
When I look in my SD card on my computer, all the files I deleted are gone.So I tried formatting my SD card to completely erase everything and start over. I formatted it on both my computer and my blackberry. But the weird files are still sitting in my photo album!Does anyone know how I can get rid of them?
When making or receiving calls, during the first 5-10 secs. of call i get this weird tone in the ear piece. It's like the tone if you have a call waiting, but the thing is there is no other call. It's getting pretty annoying because it does this on every call. The wife's phone does the samething. We do have the latest update on the 8530.

I always took the back of the phone off too so that it wasn't coming through 2 little holes through the top. Is the sound quality and volume of the 8900 equal to or greater than the 8300 with its batter door off?

I really want to be able to send the video to family and it is of course too big to email from the phone. I tried installing VLC, but it didn't work that way either. Does anyone know how to fix this?
View 5 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post on the forums, but I do think I'm a fairly knowledgable BB user. Had 3 BBs over the course of a few years, so I can usually rectify small problems as they arise. However I've recently come across something that I am not sure how to solve, or maybe it is not fixable- I do not know.Basically my phone has been making a constant heartbeat sound when I make or receive calls. Doesn't matter if it is on speakerphone, or the normal phone. Its also not just a slightly annoying noise in the background, it cuts off the person on the other end and breaks up their speech. Essentially kills any phone conversation because I cannot understand the other person. I am not sure if the other person can hear me or not. This has been going on for about 3 days now, and is very irritating.I would like to find a way to fix it rather than get a new one. My old pearl's trackball died, so I had to get a new phone, which led me to the 8900. The keyboard on that quit working, so I got a new 8900, which was luckily just under the one year warranty. Now this one is having this problem, but its just a few weeks outside the stupid 3 month warranty on replacements. I'm fed up with ATT and BB because of these device failures, and also because ATT never provided me with my $100 rebate, even after complaining to corporate.It's just a situation where I feel robbed in a way, and just want to find a way to get my current phone to work thru the rest of my contract so I can upgrade to a better device.Any suggestions of how to rid myself of the heartbeat noise? I'd really appreciate it.

When it's unlocked there is no problem and the alarm is sounding.
But when it's locked it does only display an information about the alarm on the screen, but no sound :smileysad: How can I fix that? I'dont want to get too late too often!
I've recently been getting problems with the profiles it makes a sound for everything except emails. I used to be able to fix this with a battery pull and it might work for maybe 2 or 3 hours but now its just reffusing to work at all I'm running 8900/5.0.0.238.
It's been happening a few times, lately. Very odd! iPhone 4, of course. I can then hit "Home" and go back into the Phone app and all is well again.

He had an 02 sim in it and I'm on Vodaphone and had no probs when I first put my sim in. It just comes up with call failed when I try to call out and wont take incoming calls either. Theres no barring on the phone that I can see and I get internet with an excellent signal.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my recent calls or rather the call log (sorry, but since English is not my mother language I might mix up the terms but let me explain)When I push the green phone button in the main menu I am used to finding a menu where i can see who I last called, who called me and so on. Little green and blue phone symbols next to the names indicate whether a call was incoming or outgoing.This menu does not work somehow. When I press the green button I get some kind of list, which looks pretty much like the one I just described and which always used to be there, but the phone icons and the timestamps are missing! So I cannot see, whether any given call was incoming or outgoing and what time the call was made.Is there any way to fix this?Can I somehow "reassign" the green phone button to my call log? I have set up the important calls under a profile which only my girlfriend can call when I am on nights. However, whatever I do, the phone never rings, even when I have set up important calls only.
isn't there a way to include the time of missed calls on my BB8900?It is logging incoming/outgoing/missed calls correctly, but no time stamp on any...I think it is important, particularly for a business oriented phone, to include the time of each call was made/received/missed. Is there a setting I'm missing?

My phone is a Blackberry Curve 8900. OS v5.0.0.681 (Platform 5.2.0.67). Everything about the phone works fine except the camera function which just shows a dark screen when I attempt to use it. I have tried removing and replacing the battery whilst powered up, but this does not work. Is there any way I may be able to fix this or is the camera function just broken?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy 8900 turns on the red light when I pop the battery in, I press the power button and the screen turns on but just shows white. After letting it power on for a few minutes I call myself (by using a friends phone) and I can answer and talk.
I searched everywhere. The computer can read the PIN #, just in case though I wiped it and reloaded the OS. Bought a T6 screwdriver, took it apart, disconnected then reconnected the display cord then turned it back on and same old white screen.
I'm having problem with my Curve 8900, I bought my phone maybe 3 months ago and it works great with no problems!
yeterday, I had to change my SIM card, after I replaced it and put the battary back again, the FlashLight goes on! and I can't turn it off! I tried to go to camera settings and change flash to OFF and the same in Video Camera with no luck..!
also, I tried to wipe the handheld from (Security Options) with no luck.when I turn the phone off the flash is ON, and when I take off the battary and plug the phone to the AC, it boots normally WITHOUT flash, as soon as I put the battary the flash works..!
Running a BB Curve 8900
Recently updated to V5.0.0.461 (Platform 5.2.0.42)My issue is when attempting to use my camera in the video format, I get "Failed to start recording"..I AM able to take pictures just fine. I have plenty of available memory as I have a 4 gig card with roughly 155 MB used. Obviously memory isnt the issue.
I havent seen any posts that state this issue or anything close as of yet. (Unless I missed it of course)My provider is TMobile - But the Software was from another provider. Overall, the phone has run fine on the 5.0.0.461 Software, a few things here and there but I have worked through them.
The call history on my 8900 stopped working. Does anyone have any suggestions on how it can be resolved?
Background: 2 days ago call history stopped displaying dialed call. today it stopped displaying any in/outgoing calls to. Didn't made any changes to any setting, menu options etc. it just spontaneously stopped working.
in call history/General Options played with the settings. Changed the "Phone List View" from "call log" to name and most recent. Recent calls I made appeared, but when I switched back to the call log setting all that is displayed are calls from Mar. 1 and previous.Troubleshooting performed: changed setting within the Call History/General Options menu. I'm a newbie at Crackberry, but reading and learning since i got my BB, but got my account today because i really need help. Since a few days i have some strange problems with my BB Curve 8900;
- E Key is broken
- Alt Key is only functioning when using it in single use (so not possible anymore to hold the ALT key and type the symbols at the same time).
- Right Convenience key is not starting the camera anymore. I don't think its broken, because when my BB is asleep, and when i start pushing the right convenience key the screen does light up.
I tried a battery pull, but it doesn't solved my problems. I don't have any warranty anymore. So anyone with solutions, does a upgrade of the OS maybe works?
i just bought the phone off of a mate knowing the problems but my g1 tottally died.so the only way i can make a call is threw a headset and also the ringtone speaker doesnt work so have to have my phone out all the time to see if i have a call/text :| when i open the camera i get "could not start the camera, close other applicaions and try oppening the camera again".
the lock and mute keys on top do not work atall and recently the volume key has stopped working. ive tried googling the problems but havent found much information on my problems. could it be the actual speaker. or the plastic midplate with the metal contacts on?im not too bothered about the camera and keys just the speakers soo i dont have to walk around with my phone in my hand with my headset in.
The main reason i bought the phone.Was because of a virtually non existent signal on the Orange network.(dropping calls etc).Anyway. To cut a long story short.It will find UMA.But takes an age to lock on.And sometimes when making /receiving calls i get cut off and my router crashes (loses internet connection)!If i go into my wifi settings in my phone (wifi diagnostics). Under UMA it says 'UMA connection failed'.But no 'error' code!!
I have checked my router setings and everything seems ok as it does on my phone.
But this morning i contacted AOL router support and they told me that it will not be the router but an issue with the phone!
While i am typing this.It has just found UMA (after approx 1 hour of trying) but if i make a call or receive one , i will more than likely be cut off.I forgot to mention that i have a 'speedtouch'(thompson) router. And am thinking of asking AOL for a 'Netgear'!Would this help?Although my laptop and xbox 360 run just fine via the speedtouch with no problems whatsoever
I've had my Blackberry for over six months, but I've always had a problem with the quality/clarity of the audio in incoming phone calls. It's very difficult to understand the person on the other end -- particularly, but not only, if the person has an accent of any sort. I want to use the Blackberry as my primary phone, but I can't "get" half of what my callers are saying to me.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm on the phone with someone - anyone, regardless of locaton - I hear intermitent "beeping" sounds on my end of the phone. These are not system sounds or calendar alerts, they sound a little bit like feedback or R2D2 sounds. They come and go but sometimes they are totally annoying. I have asked the people I'm talking to whether or not they can hear the sounds, and they have reported that they can not. I called Verizon and they said they had never heard of this problem before.Has anyone else experienced this? Is there anything that can be done about it?
