I have had my blackberry for 6 months, it was brand new purchased and still uses the orignal sim card which is on boost mobile australia. I can not recieve or send calls and texts. My top rift concer has full singal and has EDGE wrote there. My internet is fine tho. I have pulled out the battery, I have completely reset the phone and nothing.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to the 9700 with Tmo in December. Coming from an 8900 I thought it would truly be an "upgrade". Since getting the 9700 i have had more dropped calls, call fail, can not access server etc. The phone will even go into a soft reset mid call, text or email for no reason. I called tmo and the replaced the phone and sim card. it worked well for about a day or two and BAM same crap. I am not so sure its the phone anymore. Some people i talk to say it is TMO service but i have never had this problem before and have been with tmo for 3 yrs.any suggestions /advice?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI was recently given a Blackberry Curve by a friend as a gift.It was locked to orange, but I went to a local shop and got it unlocked so that I could use my Vodafone simcard in it.There is full signal bars and GPRS is displayed in the top right corner. Every time I dial out I get the message displayed 'Call Failed', and if someone tries to ring me they are sent straight to voicemail. All the solutions I've tried haven't worked and when I check the 'Mobile Voice' it says 'Not Connected' and 'Unavailable'. There is no red cross in the corner to indicate that it is barred either. I also checked the IMEI number and it is unblocked

When I check for airtime SUPPLEMENTARY SERVICE ERROR - GENERAL ERROR. I have put my sim card into another. Phone and was able to make n receive calls and smses. But when I put my sim into my blackberry I am not allowed to. My blackberry is vodafone I am currently using a cellc sim card in it. The phone has worked fine from the time I bought it in december 2011 till september 2012.

View 2 Replies View RelatedDid a OS ugrade to 5.0.0.681 yesterday as advised by desktop manager when I connected, problem is now no matter how I configure my profiles the vibration is always there when a call,txt,email comes in-done a battery pull etc.
Some new features are good-others bad!-like when you press the top 'play' button all it does is unlock the fone-instead of playing what music was playing before!.
Any clues on the vibration-it's turned off in all profiles but still ruddy gyrates!.

View 3 Replies View Relatedive had my blackberry 8520 a while now when i 1st got it all the setting blackberry and phone where working then after a few days stoped making and recieving call and same with text every thing else works such as email,instant messaging,internet i am on pay as you go so when my booster ran out i topped up again while the booster takes a couple of hours to come back on the phone service worked again and i could call out and recieve calls the same with text when the booter came back on the phone service not long work and ive been stuck tryin to get help the phone shops dntno they say contact blackberry.

just picked up a Curve 8520 after using a Storm for a year and a half. The only problem is that the volume during a conversation is just too quiet. The volume is at 100% and I've tried the enhanced bass and treble but its still useless.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Blackberry Curve 8530 last month, and everything has been going smoothly up until the past week or so.Every time I hit the "End Call" button it results in the Blackberry typing out the letters "NM" repeatedly. If I keep hitting it, it just types out "Nmnmnmnmnmnmnm" ... I have tried a battery pull, multiple times. I've tried a software update. I don't know what else I can do to fix it.
It's driving me insane, I'm in love with my new BB (first time user!), but this is really killing the enjoyment. I've read about this problem with other phones and I'm worried it might move on to other letters and keys, forcing me to not be able to use the phone at all.If anybody can help me I'd greatly appreciate it. I've combed these forums for hours looking for a solution, but to no avail. Someone want to give a BB newbie a break?
I was wondering if there's any option that allow you to send a message to someone who actually is calling you, like when you're in a meeting and you get a phone call but you can't answer but instead send a default message right away like "call me back later". Is this possible?

Is there a setting where every text conversation is by itself not tied in to previos texts?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo when I go to search for a certain text within an SMS conversation, it says its "not found", but when I scroll for a really long time to find the text, its there? Does the Find feature in SMS convos not search throughout the whole conversation?
Also, when I use the global search option on the home screen to find text, it also finds it but when I select it, it brings me to the end of the conversation, not where the message was found.
I just got a Blackberry Curve 8530, and many of my friends have said that when i send them an SMS they get it two or three times. I'm not sure why this is happening, when I only send the text once. Can anyone explain why they get the same text multiple times and how to fix it?
