am using Curve 8520. All of sudden I am unable to hear voice from ear piece. When I check my display screen ear piece icon flashes with headset symbol. This continuously happening till I disconnect the call. I have used my headset & I am able to hear loud & clear. I wish I could get some experts assistance on fixing the issue.

I updated my 8530 to OS 5.0.0.722. It messed up my contacts birthdays on the calendar again (just like every update ive downloaded since i got my phone), but besides that I thought everything was fine. But then, After using it for a few days, I've occassionally been unable to hear anything during calls. It works most of the time, but occassionally, when someone calls me and i pick up; it says "Connected", I don't hear anything. Same with vice versa, when I call them, it says "Connected" and I dont hear anything.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently received a message telling me that an update was available for App World. I downloaded the update, installed it and rebooted. Now I am unable to download apps. When I hit the download button it takes me to the sign in for BlackBerry ID, then to terms and conditions and then to my ID settings! The only way I can get off this screen is to press Discard, which takes me back to where I started! I just keep going round in circles.

When the Application Loader launches, it only provides me with the option of maintaining my OS and downgrading my OS to the older 4.6.1 version. I have previously used the exact same steps on another Curve 8520 and I had successfully upgraded the OS. After the upgrade was successful on the first phone, only did I try upgrading the second phone. Is there anything I did wrongly the second time around?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am aware that there have been issues raised previously and particularly one thread regarding the time delay between deleting emails on the server which remain on the BB.
My problem is an inability to delete emails on the BB. This problem only affects the Gmail email linked to my BB, not the other email accounts. Prior to linking the Gmail account to the BB, I spent time archiving messages from the Gmail account. This was 10 days ago.
So today I ring my carrier (Orange) for advice. They tell me that there are over 3500 messages in the inbox on the Gmail server and that is what is causing my problem. Whilst speaking to them, I was able to look at the server and confirm that there are only a couple of hundred opened messages on the server as far as I am concerned exactly as I expected.
I do have messages in other folders but the sum total is not per Orange's advice. Its worth noting that there are many many more messages on the respective servers for the other accounts for which no problem exists.

View 7 Replies View Relatedi am trying to connect my blackberry curve 8520 to my own wi-fi at home, but it will not connect me to the router?its says to enter a pin to the router... i have watched videos on Internet and followed them step by step, but yet it still does not connect, this is what i have done:
-went to main menu
-clicked on 'manage connections'
-made sure the 'wi-fi on' box is ticked
-then clicked 'set up wi-fi network'
-scan for networks
-clicked on the network which is my router
-then it comes up saying
'provisioning wi-fi profiles...enter this pin into your wireless router: 18104707 time remaining 4:11.'
I already set up my wifi network yesterday and i was able to browse but it stopped working just this morning. It prompted that the available wifi network is available but each time I am attempting to connect it says: Unable to connect. Reason Failure to connect to the network.

Then, some weeks ago I stopped receiving emails and I couldn't send either. I ended up removing both email accounts and then I set up one of them, tried it and it worked. Then I went and tried to set up the second one but I haven't been able to do so since.I go to Setup > Email Settings > Add > Gmail (the account I want to set up is on Gmail). I write the correct email address and password and click on Next, it says it's "Processing, prease wait..." and then every time it says "Update Failed".
I've tried also choosing Other instead of Gmail when trying to add the second account but at the end it gives me the same error, "Update Failed". have the BlackBerry Desktop Software 2.4.0 and I've looked there for an option to try and set up my second email account through the software but there just seems not to be such an option.'ve never had any other problem when it comes to the email or the internet connection in general.'ve been looking for a solution in the forum but I haven't found anything.
