write again on same issue but I have directory in the SD Memory of my BB called DataBackups/DateandTime.databackup/ with 6 directories called categories, contacts, etc.This a backup of my Phone which I don't know how it has been done.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe Application Memory in my Options>Memory keeps on decresin as I use the phone. (I didn't download/removed/upgraded any apps). Like I have around 112 mb of free application memory when my phone starts up after a battery pull, and after using it for like 6-8 hrs. the Free space in application memory went down to 72.3 mb :S .This is making my phone real slow. Also, when I restart (battery pull) my phone, the memory goes back up to original 112 mb bt then all f this thing happns all over again. Someone on my prev. thread replied that it was a case of "Memory Leak", and I must wipe my handset to get rid of it. I wiped it, Installed new OS (5.0.0.681) and the problem is still there.
View 8 Replies View Related my girl and I both have the 8530 with Sprint, and for some reason, her application memory is down to 68MB, while mine is up at 106MB... and I have way more apps on mine! Rebooting her phone doesn't help at all, and I just can't figure out why the difference is so big, since I do have a lot more apps than she does. We are both running the same OS, the new .654 OS. I do have BerryJoose memory cleaner, but I wouldn't think that would make such a big difference.
I know that you can plug in an 8520 via a USB cable and access the SD card, however I need to access the internal memory. How can I do this without installing the full Desktop manager software?

View 3 Replies View RelatedThe Last sync and Last backup dates don't update when I connect to BB desktop and do auto sync and backup. This causes backup to run every time I connect instead of weekly like I have it setup. If I do a manual sync the date updates but if I do a manual backup the date stays unchanged. I'm running desktop 6.0.0.43 and OS 5.0.0.886. Does anyone know how to cure this problem?

I would like to import only the Contact List contained in that back up data from the stolen device to a new Curve 8520. However I do not see any method to do that other than to "Import Files" to the new Curve from the backup data via Desk Top Manager from PC. Is that possible or is that not the mechanism to accomplish this??

Yesterday it was 135.5 mb but when I looked at it today it changed to 132.7 mb. Have any of you guys experienced this before? Is this normal in a BlackBerry?

I was taking a little look around it last night and saw this "Memory Cleaning" option and I thought "I wanna clean it's memory of cache and such stuff" - so I enabled it. I then locked the phone and it said it was going to start and would take a few minutes. Half hour later it was still "going". By going I mean it goes to the white screen with the timer, after a while in the top right it does the whole "receiving/sending data" arrow thingy, then goes back to timer. Then it goes dark; the red light stays on, then goes out, and the white screen reappears.
I thought this was normal, but after it happening for half an hour I thought "surely not" - anyway I decided to leave it going overnight. When I woke this morning my screen was black; blasted thing must have been doing it so much during the night, it drained the battery! It's now plugged it, and it's doing the same thing - there seems to be no way of stopping it. The phone won't turn on. And it just keeps doing the same thing - I fear something's gone wrong and that it's now broken.
I'm using the native browser on my Curve 8530. With the connection I have, a web page will often take 1-2 minutes to load, if not longer. When I'm reading a page, I will sometimes switch websites, accidentally or intentionally; if I do this, and then try to go back to the page I was reading, I have to wait 1-2 or more minutes all over again before the page is visible.Is there any way to cache web pages in the phone's memory (as you can do on a normal web browser like Firefox), so I don't have to keep going through this?(I've been told you can't have multiple pages open at once on a Curve 8530, but if this is wrong, I'd be happy to hear it.)
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I just got my Blackberry yesterday and while I was tweaking around and setting my passwords, I enabled Secure Content and it said that it will start Memory Cleaning and that it'll take a few minutes. I waited for it to finish but then it just died down on me. It went off and then whenever I'd try to turn it on, a solid red light goes on and then it goes to the white screen with the clock-loading icon thing for 5 minutes then turns off then does it again or just remains off. I tried pulling out the battery then turning it on, charging it for 3 hours straight, the 101 on Reinstalling the OS on a Bricked Berry and it still forever loops on its boot up. I don't know what happened or why it did that and to think that it was barely a day old when it happened. Any suggestions on what to do besides taking it to my carrier?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to access a website that I normally visit daily and today it was telling me that about memory being full. Its only when i try to access my inbox, yet the the rest of the pages will load (including facebook).I deleted a bunch of pics off my phone and thought if i enabled memory cleaning, it would clear my cache, cookies, etc.
the prompt said it would save changes when the device was turned off and rebooted. I did a battery pull and now what is happening is my issue.
after i pulled the battery, I get a red blink of hte led, then a black screen with a clock in the middle (obviously the loading symbol) and then the screen showing "blackberry" with a loading bar.Once the loading bar is done loading...nothing! It goes back to turning off the device and reloading from the start. It has been doing this for 2 hours and the device will not go to the home screen, it just keeps rebooting itself. I have done 2 or 3 battery pulls now and it keeps doing it. Would it have anything to do with the "memory clean" enablement? or is the peice of cr@p toast now? And have i lost all my contacts??
i got my BB last week ok, so, i got invited to a group, i was the 30th member, the chat and images uploaded were loading so my BB started lagging ALOT, i thought it was other thing, so i googled "how to make blackberry faster" and i found an "activate Automatic Memory Clean" thing after activating it, i locked the BB cause i always lock it, then a message popped saying something like "blackberry is rebooting and it will take a few moments" well the few moments were more like a few 10+ minutes, so i took the battery out to restart it, after that a white screen with the loading clock icon appears, then suddenly the screen goes black and red light flashes a bit, then back to the white screen with clock, and so on

When performing the above function the progress bar progresses for sometime goes 50 % completed and then returns to the home screen. Tried formatting the phone/MC as well as re-flashed the firmware but no use. Is there anyone having similar issue ?. FYI the phone is under warranty and there is no proper response.from the nokia centre so i have decided to repair it myself. Is there any workaround for this issue ?

The next day I accidentally deleted the phone number. When I went to my cell provider's website to check my call history and get the number it didn't show up. I've tried doing a number restores from the phone's memory but nothing is showing up. I didn't know if there was a way to recover this number at all or if all is lost. I know the exact time and date of when the call was made and am desperate to be able to recover this number. I would really love to recover this number! I'm working with an iPhone 5s.
