BB Curve 8500 :: 8530 Go To Compose Email / No Message Services Are Configured
Apr 11, 2010
I just bought a blackberry Curve, 8530.I had my email set up at the store and even got my blackberry registration email. However, I go to compose an email, and my phone tells me that "no message services are configured".That would be fine, if my email was not already set up, according to my blackberry.I tried going through the whole process again, and then it tells me that my email is already set up.But, it says I can only save a draft, not send, when I'm done. I owned a pearl before this, but never used many of the features. I would like to be able to use more of them on this phone.I am a bit of an electrical gimp.
I can read and open my emails and junk but when I try to compose a email its says no message services configured. You will be redirected to setup wizard to setup an email account.
BOLD 9700, T-Mobile. I have current OS. I am receiving the above message when I try to reply to an email. Yesterday---I didn't have this problem. I go to email set up & my email addresses are there. When I am in message options, and choose Email Settings--- there isn't ANYTHING there.
I had an 'app523 error' and had to upgrade my operating system. Everything working fine now except cannot send emails. I can receive however. I have checked my email settings and my email appears to be showing. i get the following message when trying to send an email: "No message settings configured. You will be redirected to the setup wizard" then in the setup wizard it tells me my email is already configured?
I know I am probably missing something very obvious here... I have just upgraded my Blackberry Curve and cannot send e-mail. I am receiving e-mails fine, and have setup my e-mail accounts. But when I go to send an e-mail I get the error 'No Message Services Configured.' E-mail is setup fine, what have I missed here?
Just replaced broken Bberry Bold. Restored, backed up and set up email, etc. I receive email, however to respond or send a new email, I get this message. 'No message services configured. You will only be able to Save Draft'. Already have email address set up so it won't let me go any further.
I have a bold 9900 and I can connect to everything but email. I have tried to delete and readd it, it was there before but then I had to take my phone in to get fixed because it kept rebooting everytime I put it on a hard surface. It keeps coming back with 'no message services configured. You will be redirected to the setup wizard to setup your email' but it is already set up it just wont connect/link.
for the past week i was unable to access my email services. I have done a handheld wipe as well on my phone also after that which result that my email icon etc is not showing anymore. When i run a diagnostic test everythingis fine except for the PIN-PIN. Blackberry registratio:Yes Connected to Blackberry: Yes PIN-PIN: No I phoned my service provider and according to them everything is in order on there system. They have tried to resend my email service books but i don't recieve it. Data service etc is working fine and my phone register on the blackberry network. Please assist as i am unable to setup my emails etc or connect to messenger etc....
1. I have two e-mail accounts set up on my phone. One the one, the red * alert symbol always shows up on that email account's folder, but for the other one the red * alert symbol for new messages shows up on the separate "messages" folder. how do i fix this?
2. I keep randomly receving the message alert symbol (the red *) on my SMS folder, but I click it and i don't have any new messages and all of my messages are read... what's the deal here?
I just dowloaded and installed desktop software 5.13 and am now not getting any email updates on my curve.I did change me email password in Hotmail, but now cannot reconfigure either of Outlook and my device to allow for continued delivery to my device.I hope someone here can point me in the right direction. I've not been able to find anything via Google or even Microsoft.
Well here is the scoop I switched from my curve to a samsung instinct for a couple of days to try out the touch screen. It was a friends phone.I didn't like it, it was way to simple I like my apps and stuff on my blackberry. So I called sprint today to switch my phone back to my blackberry.I can get calls make calls, however I cannot access the internet or set up my e mail.I have resent my service books and received nothing. When I go back into my setup wizard and say setup e mail it says your device had a problem connecting to the server. When I got to like facebook it says no connection.I just want to get back on my interenet and e mail.
I updated my 8530 operating system to 5.0.0.734 a couple of days ago. Today I noticed that I had not been receiving email since the update. When I try to use the email connection, I get "Your device had a problem connecting to the server."Is the server down, or have I caused a problem on my BB by updating the operating system?
So, I've bought a brand new Curve 8530 from Koodo Mobile, it's running OS v5.0.0.654, and I can't seem to be able to attach my blackberry to any email address at all. I've tried a number of addresses and providers, short reboots [alt+rshift+del], battery pulls, updates, and shouting, but none of them seem to make my phone want to allow me to use email.
In addition to this, I can't seem to get access to the blackberry App World at all either. I've tried the same methods as above, in addition to uninstalling, and then reinstalling App world using the desktop software for windows. Am I missing something, or has Koodo locked out my main reason for purchasing this wonderful device?
If you've got any ideas on how to solve either of these issues, please, let me know, as I've racked my brain, and these forums, and I don't seem to be making any progress.Curve 8530 OS v5.0.0.654 on Koodo Mobile
I was using Facebook app since the first time I use my BB. Ussually, when I got notification about someone messaging me on FB, if i click on the notification item, it'll take me to the FB message screen where I can reply the message right away. But yesterday it's change, when I got notification that someone messaging me, when I click it, it only show me the email of the message like this : And I should open my FB account on browser first to reply it.Someone could tell me what's wrong with this and how to change it back to old setting where I can reply my FB messages straight from FB app?
I am trying to set up a 2nd email address on my Curve 8520. I currently have 1 gmail set up. I had a 2nd awhile back, but deleted it when I didn't need it any longer. Now I have another that I need to set up, but every time I go to the email setup wizard, I get this error message:The site cannot be accessed in this manner. Please use the URL or link provided to you by your service provider. What in the world? Please help! I use T-Mobile, if that's needed information.
I changed my email password and BB then asked to validate the same on the phone. I did. But it says invalid username/password and asked to contact the email provider. But it is the correct one (I signed in my account online just fine). I don't understand what the problem is. I even rebooted my phone twice. I tried the Gmail troublershooter, but there seems to be no way to communicate this problem. I really need to solve this as it is a Gmail id I use daily, especially for work.
My Blackberry 8530 has been giving me this error message for 24 hours: "Desktop Email program unable to submit message." It occurs when I try to reply or send a new message from my "Desktop" email. I have done everything that has been recommended--including a complete wipe and reload of Enterprise Activation. The other email program (non exchange/enterprise) on my blackberry works perfectly fine.
I bought a BB curve 9300 in Singapore and later i looked back and found that it is BB Tmobile. Everything is ok when I set up but email set up there is no personal email setup option and there is only enterprise email set up option which I don't have. Kindly advise how can I set up? I am ok if it needs to format or reset/delete all data on my mobile.
my Blackberry Curve 8530 CANNOT compose new emails: it can reply to emails that people have sent me, it can compose emails to people whose emails I already have saved, yet if I try to "Compose Email" and enter a new address, it can only "Save Draft." Not only that, I can't email or MMS any of my photos either-- either TO a new email, or a preexisting contact/email--the only way to get them off of my phone is if I "send to Facebook," or copy them to my computer using a micro-USB cord.A battery pull has NOT worked. I've also already come across people posting on other sites about the same problem (and there seems to be a similar issue with the 8520). I've come across other websites suggesting that the problem may be to an issue with the OS (I'm currently on v5.0.0.654 Bundle 1108, Platform 4.2.0.298; I certainly haven't downloaded/installed any new Apps since this happened), and that downgrading/changing to a different OS may be necessary to fix/troubleshoot the issue, I just don't recall which website that was, nor do I know how to change the OS on my own (if I remember correctly, it just updates itself automatically, which probably would explain why this seemed to happen out of the blue).
Brand new to this forum. I've had a Curve 8900 for two years without a problem. Everything works OK. I've just got a new Curve (Same model) - but when I swap over the SIM card the Email is not configured. The phone and messaging work fine but if I try and send an Email it says "No message services configured. You will be redirected to setup wizzardto set up your Email account" then it says "No message services configured, you will only be able to save to draft".But if a I swap averything back to my old phone it all works fine - no problem. What am I doing wrong or what do I have to do to get my Emails working on the new phone Thanks in advance.
I have user here that uses BB messenger. We have recently changed our e-mail domain address. The user here is now getting the following message: "[URL] was configured on the device. We recommend that you register this email with BlackBerry Messenger from the Back Up Contact List screen. Any registered email address can be used to recover your BlackBerry Messenger data in the future". The user is using a Curve 8530. How do I go about getting rid of this message?
I accidentally wipped my Blackberry Curve 8520 and since then i cannot use any of the Internet services through my data plan . I tried back up but still I receive the same message when i try using any of the Internet services .It's not even trying to connect through the operator network plus in the browser options i only have hotspot i can't find Internet browser.
I have the curve 8530 and I can't set the alarm! Sometimes the number icon appears so I can type in a time but it doesnt recognize it most of the time & sets some random time. I can do all of the other functions in the clock besides set the alarm. Is there a fix for this or anyone else having this issue?
