I have a Blackberry curve 8300 that I have decommissioned. However, I left some data on it that requires recovery. Funny things is I forgot the password. I do have a backup of the data so I all need to do is figure or get told how to set the device to factory defaults so I can reload the system with the application that is storing the data I need.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI went to reset my BB and wanted to "WIPE" out everything and start from factory defaults with no applications on it. Been having some weird problems. Since I've done this, everytime I log into the BB using a "new" password all the time, I get into the BB no problem. But when I turn on the wireless, it'll take about 30 seconds and it'll rewipe the device and restart again into this vicious cycle. Don't know what to do now.
I am now re-reading the 'WIPE' option and it shows that if you select to wipe the Email and Contacts, it says you can't do this anymore. I need to resync my BB with enterprise activation to my work email and contacts.
I forget my keystore password. How can I reset it without reset the phone to factory defaults. I have an BB 9300.

I was wondering if there is a simple way I can attach my device to my computer and restore it to factory defaults (software wise). Reflashing the device does [i]not[/i] restore all default settings. I changed my log history to one dayI moved all contacts and messages to my memory cardI reset the phone to factory defaults (my code was 11111 as default btw, not 12345 as suggested).
After powering up my newly restored handset I'm saddened to say that it's just as slow as before and is driving me nuts! Does anybody have any other ideas I could try?
I reset my iPhone to factory settings and all went well. However, before I did so, I forgot that I had put it in airplane mode and didn't switch it out. Airplane mode is still on and there's no way to get it out. What's the big deal? Well it's trying to reactivate my phone and it won't activate it without the antennas on...and I can't get to the Settings to disable Airplane mode because it's in that iOS 5 initial set up. However, now I can't download apps from OVI that I have downloaded before the restoration to factory defaults. I can download other apps from OVI fine. View 3 Replies View Relatedi was connecting my 8310 to my pc using the usb cable, and when was displayed the pop-up alert on the phone, to allow the memory card connection, I selected the flag to avoid the repetition of the question, but, unluckly, I selected the "No" option and not the "Yes" option: a very stupid type mistake.So, now, Desktop Manager can't connect with that computer, cause the 8310 has stored the option that it hasn't to connect and never ask it again.Is there any way to restore the pop up message to allow the pc to connect by USB?I tryed to restore the default option for the firewall, but the situation didin't change.

I have now left the company so have switched it from BES to BIS using the same mobile service provider. Emails are not synchronizing properly between handheld and laptop and I am told by mobile service provider that this is likely due to the 'email settings' not being set up correctly on my handheld. The problem is that most of the fields that should be appearing under options/email settings on my handheld are missing. The device software has been wiped and reinstalled but problem remains. Any ideas on why I am missing some of the fields and how I can get them?

After I received the update, my phone slowed considerably. It may have been a result of some other things, but point is, it slowed. To the point where I was waiting for a couple of minutes for a simple text to load.I cleared out my storage to see if that would fix the problem, but that didn't work. Someone suggested a factory reset, so after a lot of contemplating, I backed everything up onto my HTC Backup Account (Linked with Google Drive) and went for it.Normally, after a factory reset, the setup screen should ask you, "How do you want to set up your phone?" Or something along those lines, and one of those options should be to restore from a backup. The name of this screen should be "Set up your phone" at the top.After my reset, I was just taken to "Setup Wizard", which gave me no option to restore from a backup, but only let me put in a Google account and gave me the option of restoring my contacts.

I have a small problem with my Iphone 4 5.1 - modem firmware 4.12.01 and I had it just replaced two weeks ago and it was locked and not activated.
After working on it to activate it (don't have the original sim the mobile was locked to) I decide to restore it to factory setting, as it was when replaced. I tried with Itunes but it gives me error 3194 putting it in a loop and later I tried to do it via the device itself (settings > general > reset > cancell data and settings) but it got stuck on the loading circle for 5-6 hours so I pressed together power and home to shut it down.
So what should I do now to restore it to factory settings? I don't know what to do and I don't want to endanger my warranty (if it is still on at this point!!!).I have windows 7 and tried with a different usb ports or with no firewall but to no avail.
