I recently just changed over to gmail and after installing the gmail app all my contacts in my BlackBerry 8330 have seem to disapeared. Is there anyway of recovering these contact? I have no backup or other app I was syncing my contacts too before this.

Our small office has moved from outlook to gmail.He uses the gmail icon on his blackberry to check his emails. question is that he wants to delete emails in gmails on his blackberry but they should only be deleted on his handheld and not in the actual account.He wants me to delete around 100+ emails. View 5 Replies View RelatedE-mail reconciliation is not working for me with my Gmail account. When I read an e-mail on my BB, it isn't being marked as read in my Gmail. It also isn't working the other way: when I read an e-mail on my computer, my BB doesn't mark it as read.
How can I fix this? E-mail reconciliation in my options is already turned on.
I recently updated to V4.5, and after the installation, I noticed that lots of things were missing, so I did a restore of my last backup. After restoring my last backup, I still notice that my memopad is missing. When I look at my list of files from the backup, it shows my memos as unavailable because they have been configured for wireless syncronization or wireless backup and are read-only. Is there a way to correct this and restore my memos and memopad?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI reformatted my BB on Monday, and reinstalled it from backup. Before that, when I'd get an email notification, the LED would flash red and a tone would sound. Now, nothing. I have it set up correctly, and even took it to the store today to see if they could figure it out. All other sounds/notifications work fine, except for email.

DNA has never seen a BB and have tried to talk to their Technical support whom say to just activate as follows: GPRS WAP settings clients: ip address: 10.1.1.1 Port: 9201 GPRS connection settings WAP2.0 DNA's clients: proxy server ip address (proxy): 10.1.1.1 Proxy port: 8080 I was able to find the first part but don't know where to change the proxy server and how can I connect to emails and BB messaging. I have now left the company so have switched it from BES to BIS using the same mobile service provider. Emails are not synchronizing properly between handheld and laptop and I am told by mobile service provider that this is likely due to the 'email settings' not being set up correctly on my handheld. The problem is that most of the fields that should be appearing under options/email settings on my handheld are missing. The device software has been wiped and reinstalled but problem remains. Any ideas on why I am missing some of the fields and how I can get them?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been religiously doing auto-backup on to a remote hard drive. But now I cannot seem to access any of those files at all. It keeps saying I have no administrative permission to view the files. Even when copied to my desktop, I can't use them to restore.The issue that started this all is that I switched computers. And every time I sync, the desktop program wants to add or delete about 1200 past calendar items. I have been reticent to allow the sync to continue because I did not want to lose data, but today I said, "what the hell" and let it continue. It deleted everything from BOTH the handheld and computer prior to May, when I started using the new computer. So when I try to reinstall the older backup file to retrieve the lost data, now the program won't let me access the files I saved so religiously.

But since I got this device, my contacts are not syncing with gmail contacts. I have selected the options to sync contacts in the email settings and my BIS is working absolutely fine but I don know why contacts are not syncing.

I believe that it just stopped syncing last week and I believe that it was following a Motorola update, but cannot say for sure. Under Data Delivery, both Background Data and Data enabled are checked green. However, this is interesting because Email and corporate sync is grayed out on that screen. When I go to Account, checking the sync options is not possible, but I can do a manual sync. Please note, at one time, these options to sync Contacts, Gmail and Calendar were available. I've pulled the batter. I really do not want to reset to factory default. Suggestions? (Please note this is a company Gmail account, not just regular Gmail.)

I would like to import only the Contact List contained in that back up data from the stolen device to a new Curve 8520. However I do not see any method to do that other than to "Import Files" to the new Curve from the backup data via Desk Top Manager from PC. Is that possible or is that not the mechanism to accomplish this??

I have spent ages to get it going but no success,I am getting into Gmail through the Browser. Whereas contacts sync from gmail to phone works like a charm but it does not happen the other way round. That means any new contact created in the phone does not get synced with gmail.

I use gmail for my contacts. I noticed when I got my new S5 and logged into gmail some of my contacts had photos and some did not. When I went into edit contact on my desktop there was a photo that I had put in there before.
I checked to make sure that my phone was using my gmail acount for my contacts and it is.
I use Blackberry Pearl 9105 3G (with classic keypad / candybar) and i got a problem.When i do email setting, i accidentally approve the sync between my email and my Blackberry contact and calendar (which is always show when we put new email account in Blackberry). Now in my contacts always show this; There's a box above the contact name&number:synchronize Using :[URL] And if you go to Contacts > Menu > Options it will appear like this The contact list should be default there, but now it changes with two emails like that. My Droid Razr HD lost sync with both my gmail and yahoo email today. It came up as a sync error.I then enter my passwords for both accounts and they then restore only to immediately give me a sync error. Tried deleting the email app cache and data,no avail. Deleted and added the accounts and got the same thing. I then logged into the verizonwireless website and deleted and added them on there. Same issue.An error pops up asking me to select one of the accounts below to re-validate my account.The account name is based on an existing email address which is associated with your verizon account. When I ran email set up with my gmail account i didn't notice that i checked the contacts box and it deleted all 300 of the contacts I had changed over and left only 20 or so (who i imagine are from my gmail account). I deleted the gmail account from my phone, is there a way to delete the gmail list from my contact list? I go to options and it's the only contact list in my phone and it doesn't give me an option to delete. I even tried re-adding the gmail account to my phone and unchecking the contact list button--to no avail.

I really like this feature because my 9700 will always have an updated list of contacts.But since I did a device switch, I had to register the email account on my phone again. Now I see 2 contact lists associated with my email account. For example, my gmail has 200 contacts, so on my BB i see 400 contacts all duplicated. If go into Contacts Options -> Contact Lists, I see the same gmail account twice. There is no option to delete one.
(This is only for contacts, as far as email setup, I only see my 1 email account setup)I dont mind just deleting all the contacts on my BB and then resync again, but I can't seem to find a way to delete all the contacts on my phone.

My contacts used to syncronize fine between my Bold 9900 and gmail. Now they don't syncronise at all. I have deleted the SYNC service book and had my carrier push the service book to me again. I have deleted and reconnected my gmail account. Plus rebooted my phone a least a half dozen times.
I was also curious about the frequency for gmail contacts to sync with the blackberry. Is this push based or does it happen every 2 or 6 hours.
i have problem with my iphone4, it was ios 4.3.3 then i update into 5.1.1. before i doing upgrade i have backup all my data into pc via itunes but not succesed, then i do for upgrade because ithink all my contact not lost after do upgrade ios. but now, all my contact lost. can you help me how to recover my contact data ? i'ts looks like if data in pc lost we can recovered using tools. but how if iphone?

I've been using the GMail Sync for my Contacts (via BIS) for about a month now. It has solved the duplication issues that happen quite often when using Google Sync program.
My problem/Issue is that some of my Contacts Pictures work fine (Caller ID etc) and some continue to be deleted. I save them, then they disappear, save them again, they disappear. I cant figure it out. I dont do the Facebook thing, so i dont have it linked to that.
