BB Bold :: Universal Search Not Searching Contacts
Jan 22, 2011Had my 9780 for about a month,with OS 6 v6.0.0.285.At first i could just type in a name from the home screen and it searched contacts, press green call button and dial.Now it searches everything except contacts -i have to go into contacts first to call someone.

Jun 22, 2011I have two Bold 9780 phones. Phone #1 has v6.0.0.285 and Phone #2 has v6.0.0.534. On Phone #1 I can go to options -> Device -> Search and change what universal search does. On phone #2 I do not have the search option under devices. Did they move it? I want to be able to limit my searching.

Jun 8, 2012I have a problem trying to transfer my Contacts from my Xperia X10 mini/pro to my computer via PC Companion. I followed the instructions, copied the contacts to the Memory Card, the vCard File was successfully created. But when I mount the phone via USB, the memory card cannot be recognized by the computer. I tried different combinations, but the PCC cannot find the contacts. I had to use Bluetooth to transfer the contacts to my new Xperia S, but for some reason, some of the contacts were not transfered. I believe all contacts that I got from Facebook were not added to the vCard File. To be more specific, I have 631 contacts in my phone and only 495 could be transferred.

Jan 6, 2010My BB AppWorld keeps disappearing. When I go to the application list it is still installed, but the icon disappears and there is no way to launch app world. If I re install it comes back. It was there this morning, but this afternoon it was gone. There were no reboots at all. This is kind of getting annoying. I don't know what to do.

Jun 25, 2010Whenever I receive an email on my BBerry and leave it in my inbox and then receive a new email the first email gets deleted (both on my BBerry and on my computer). How can I remedy this? I'm used to using a Pearl and didn't have these issues. This Bold is driving me crazy it's possessed or something!

Jun 3, 2011My phone is only storing abnout a weeks emails. I've never had it set to delete or only show so many eamils.Is it deleting them or just displaying only so many? On my old 8520 it had emails going back over a year!

Jul 1, 2010I use QL and often toggle GPS. In order to toggle GPS you have to set the perimeters which is:
2,7,2 = Options > Advanced Options (2), GPS (7), GPS Services OFF/ON (2)
But heres the problem as you can see. Sometimes Enterprise Activation disappears, which then would make the perimeters 2,6,2. Which obviously won't work b/c its not set up that way.Anyone have any ideas why this happens? Or what I can do to make it completely gone forever so I can change my perimeters 2,6,2?
BB Bold 9700 :: Error Saving Memos And Disappearing Memo
Mar 17, 2010I got the Bold 9700 from AT&T on Saturday and I have unlocked it and started using it on the Bell network as of yesterday. Before getting the Bell SIM card, I upgraded it to the latest OS from Bell (platform 5.1.0.116 ; app version: 5.0.0.423).I was taking notes on a memo, and I suddenly started getting an error saying "Memo updated externally. Changes will be lost and the viewer closed." I'm pretty used to saving on a regular basis, so I didn't lose too too much of my notes. It started saving OK for a while on the same note after it happened twice within about 5 attempted saves (so the 3 or so in between did work). At one point my memo got duplicated for some reason. I deleted it and was working with the one left. Eventually it started doing it every time I tried saving a note regardless as to whether or not I actually made any changes to it. Finally after not touching my BlackBerry for a while, the memo has disappeared. Not quite sure what's going on with my memos at this point. I haven't synced my BlackBerry with the computer at all today. I'm using BIS, and I have nothing that should be modifying my memos.
I am wondering if there is anything I can do or if I should downgrade back to AT&T's latest available OS version which is older than Bell's latest. I've found no one having these issues with memos, only with contacts and calendar entries. I've always used my BlackBerry for taking notes that are very important for me.
BB Bold 9000 :: Email Not Disappearing From Device After Outlook Download
Jun 4, 2010I've been searching for an answer to this problem for about four days. I apologize if it's been asked and then answered, but I just can't find it in the forums.
I'll try to explain as much as I can. I have the Blackberry Bold through AT&T. I am a single user, not through a business, just me. While at home, my email (through at&t) comes to my BB. Once I arrive at work in the morning, I open up my Outlook (version 2003) and my email downloads from my BB. I have the option checked to NOT leave a copy on the server so it is now gone from my BB and housed in my Outlook. I like this setup. This is how I want it to work.
About 4 days ago the problem started. The emails still download to Outlook but won't disappear from my BB as before. I have to go in and delete it a second time on the BB. I don't use any type of sync with my email, it's just always been an automatic thing. I double checked and in my Outlook account it's still set to NOT leave a copy on the server.
Did something get corrupted? It's annoying to see that red LED light flashing only for an email I've already read on Outlook. Hate having to delete the same email twice.
BB Bold :: 9900 - Missed Call Results In All Email Disappearing?
Oct 19, 2012I recently got a 9900 and have an issue every week to two weeks when I miss a call. The missed call for some reason deletes all of my email from my 3 email accounts. All that is viewable in my email is the missed call list. I remove the battery from my device and this resets the email.

If I type yahoo, it will just go to [URL] It used to show the search engines I could use. May 5, 2012I stupidly thought that the ICS upgrade would get this bluetooth controller to work with the Onlive app on my SGSII. Whilst it pairs and does control the phone, it seems to be random movements as all sorts of random mayhem begins as soon as you press any of the buttons. I'm going to investigate this a little more but has anyone else tried this? I have an HDMI output and the idea of my little phone being a portable games console capable of playing games ike Arkham City is too much for the technophile in me, especially as I travel a lot.

The problem e-mails look perfectly fine when viewed on a computer. Aug 23, 2014I've been using the universal dock for almost 2 years with my iPhone 5 (using a genuine adapter from 30pin to lightening) and everything was ok.
a week ago I've opened the iPhone to switch the flex cable because the on/off button barely worked and also switched the battery with a new one, everything was genuine and now the dock refuses to work
it does charges the iPhone but the remote doesn't work and the audio doesn't go to the speakers connected to the dock, it get out of the iPhone speaker.
