Blackberry 9700 has a screen problem. i purchased it less than 1year ago in Nigeria. i have had to change the screen at a very high cost and to my suprise, the screen has gone blind again.

In other words there are no navigation map at all. There is a lot of such zones - the western part of Imatra, the northern part of Savonlinna, etc. I asked Russian on-line support service about that problem, they answered that the map of Finland is not completed and there is nothing to do with it. I can't believe, is it true that Nokia cannot offer the normal map of the company motherland? I need this map.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy screen keeps scrolling down automatically when a bright light hits the screen. Make it hard to use outside. Trying to make a phone call, read text, email, or even just scrolling through apps is very difficult because the screen scrolls down to the very bottom very quickly. When I scoll back up, it scrolls right back to the bottom. When I'm not outside or a bright glare is not on the screen it works great.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy LCD screen recntly broke for my bb bold 9700.I ordered one off ebay, not knowing that there were several screen versions for the same phone.I disposed the broken one, installed the new one, and did not work.I took it to a repair center to see if they could help me out but they need the original version of the screen so that they can replace it.The problem is that I dont have the old screen so I cant tell them which version was it.is there any way I can tell which screen version my bb is intended to use without having the original screen? maybe be SN? bb model?

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy Bold is stuck on the boot screen (at about 75%). I've tried many battery pulls with and without the SIM and it keeps doing the same thing. I've searched what I think are all the threads on here relating to this, but I'm still stuck. I'm able to connect to the device if I run Loader.exe like a user suggested, but I don't know how/where to get software to load onto the device. All the places I've searched for an OS says I need to go into the device to find information about it. Well, I can't get into the device to do that. So, how do I know what OS to download and install? I really want to exhaust all possibilities before I have to completely wipe the device because I don't have a current backup. But, even if I wipe the device, I'm going to need to download an OS which I can't do now.

The device still works, but two thirds of the LCD is now white and there's what looks like an inkblot on the left side of the screen. I'd like to try to fix it, but don't really want to shell out a lot of $ to do so --- I'm a month away from upgrading.Does anyone have any suggestions, or perhaps a dead BlackBerry with a working screen that you're willing to part with? A DIY repair -- this is out of warranty anyway -- looks straightforward, but I'm not sure I want to spend the $100 or so for a new OEM part to replace the LCD screen.

The trackpad and all of the other buttons; however, are not responding. Trackpad wont scroll and the buttons dont do anything. Even the lock and unlock does nothing.

I was wondering if there was a way to also display video from my phone onto the computer? An example of what I mean is, I want to watch a movie that's on my phone, but the phone's screen is too small... could I play it but (watch) it on my laptop screen? At first there was 1 line, the it started increasing slowly, and now there are 8 lines on the screen.

When I turn the screen off, or when the phone turns the screen off after one minute, it shortly turns back on again. The only thing that will fix this for about two days or so, is a battery pull.
