i just bought my blackberry bold 9900 last night and this morning i experienced the screen dimming so very low in the sun that you can't see anything. this make it useless until i covered the sensor with my hand.i did not tick the option to dim my backlight but this still happens even after reboot?
If there's anyone out there who can help, I'd be grateful. I'm having difficulty updating my nokia N97 software to the latest version; as the current one on my phone is version v20.0.019. My phone's screen keeps blacking out and to restore the front screen applications I have to keep switching it off then back on again. I've been to the nokia dealer with this issue but they sent me back home and suggested I keep trying the update. I've been trying this but the nokia software installer in my computer suggests it cannot find my mobile when connected through the usb cable (even though my pc detects the connection). I dont know what I'm doing wrong, can someone suggest something else and also what is the latest version I can get?
i got my new nokia e5 a couple of days ago, and its been working great, only right now every time i press unlock and then go to use it 5 seconds later it will black out the screen. it doesnt go straight to lockout mode but sometimes it wont let me go back to see mode for 5-8 seconds no matter what button i press.it did it the other night but only for an hour this is persisting.
I now tried to reset to factory defaults but that didnt work either sigh, i geuss its a faulty phone, ill bring it back to the guy, if anyone knows if there is some way to fix it because it is a looong way for me back to the shop
I don't know whether this problem is with the phone itself or whether this is a common problem, the screen goes black when left for a minute and when i try to unlock it i can't do anything at all, it doesnt even come up with the option to unlock the screen it just stays blank.I can receive calls when its black by pressing the green call button but i cannot look who it is or who is texting me. i have only had this phone for 4 days.
I have a 3GS that I got a few years ago. Recently, the pixels turn to black, fade, and the phone crashes. Then it reboots. I'm on 5.1, and I looked it up. Some people are having battery problems, but my battery is what it was before the phone crashed. Do I need to get a new phone now?
My nokia X2 keeps blacking out everytime i want to delete a bunch of text messages it will still let me delete 1 at a time but every time i go to detete a conv. it just blacks out for like 10 min and i have to take the battery out and turn it back on than my messages are never deleted.
The screen on my brand new iPhone 5S 32GB keeps blacking out intermittently. This sometimes happens I turn the phone from portrait to landscape, or sometimes when the keyboard is open and I try to type the letter ‘a’. Each blackout lasts less than a second and everything else appears to function normally, but it is impossible to use the keyboard in landscape mode sometimes as certain key presses black the screen out.Â
My screen keeps scrolling down automatically when a bright light hits the screen. Make it hard to use outside. Trying to make a phone call, read text, email, or even just scrolling through apps is very difficult because the screen scrolls down to the very bottom very quickly. When I scoll back up, it scrolls right back to the bottom. When I'm not outside or a bright glare is not on the screen it works great.
Whenever I press the side volume buttons on my 9700, the screen looks like its being pressed on the side a little ripples show up. I was wondering if anyone elses 9700 does this as well?
ive lost all screen info and now have only a white screen showing. tried to restore settings on BB site but could not remember key to unlock device and cannot find website to create a new one?
My LCD screen recntly broke for my bb bold 9700.I ordered one off ebay, not knowing that there were several screen versions for the same phone.I disposed the broken one, installed the new one, and did not work.I took it to a repair center to see if they could help me out but they need the original version of the screen so that they can replace it.The problem is that I dont have the old screen so I cant tell them which version was it.is there any way I can tell which screen version my bb is intended to use without having the original screen? maybe be SN? bb model?
could anyone recommend me a good privacy screen/ screen protector? i check vzw's website and a privacy screen is almost 15$! anything cheaper than that? like alot cheaper?
my Blackberry screen randomly has two thin lines on its screen. It's not actually the outer screen, just the inside with the graphics. I recently noticed those lines and I just find it annoying to see.
I'm a n00b so I apologize in advance, but I just bought my Blackberry Bold and really dig this phone. However, I want to add more icons to the home screen other than the 5 that are currently on there. How do I do this? I am currently using the "Widescreen HD 9700 O550" theme (which looks really nice).I just switched over from the G1/Android OS so I am still learning my way around the Blackberry.
My Bold is stuck on the boot screen (at about 75%). I've tried many battery pulls with and without the SIM and it keeps doing the same thing. I've searched what I think are all the threads on here relating to this, but I'm still stuck. I'm able to connect to the device if I run Loader.exe like a user suggested, but I don't know how/where to get software to load onto the device. All the places I've searched for an OS says I need to go into the device to find information about it. Well, I can't get into the device to do that. So, how do I know what OS to download and install? I really want to exhaust all possibilities before I have to completely wipe the device because I don't have a current backup. But, even if I wipe the device, I'm going to need to download an OS which I can't do now.
I dropped my BlackBerry Bold 9000 on the weekend and damaged the LCD screen. The device still works, but two thirds of the LCD is now white and there's what looks like an inkblot on the left side of the screen. I'd like to try to fix it, but don't really want to shell out a lot of $ to do so --- I'm a month away from upgrading.Does anyone have any suggestions, or perhaps a dead BlackBerry with a working screen that you're willing to part with? A DIY repair -- this is out of warranty anyway -- looks straightforward, but I'm not sure I want to spend the $100 or so for a new OEM part to replace the LCD screen.
Half of the screen(diagonally half) is white/grey with a black splotch and the other half you can barely read it but it still works aside from the screen "jumping" up and down, having a plaid design to it that keeps shaking and keeps changing colors but I don't know whether it has water in it or not or what the problem is!
since the trouble with the blackberrys last week in the uk my screen started playing up resulting in the screen just going white on saturday, ive updated software for the phone and still no joy. tried rebooting it no joy, vodaphone told me to contact blackberry which ive tried all morning.
For some days now, sometimes I press back button or power buTton the screen will gradually fading away until it turns out to be white background. It comes back to normal upon pressing the lock button and unlock it. It is so annoying especially in the midst of pings or calls. What can I do to rectify this problem? Have done hard reset several times but to no avail.[code]....
Alright, so the screen works perfectly. The main screen works, when I plug it in the clock shows up and the selection menu does too. The trackpad and all of the other buttons; however, are not responding. Trackpad wont scroll and the buttons dont do anything. Even the lock and unlock does nothing.
I've just recently discovered how to (play music) from my phone to the computer; using bluetooth or something. I was wondering if there was a way to also display video from my phone onto the computer? An example of what I mean is, I want to watch a movie that's on my phone, but the phone's screen is too small... could I play it but (watch) it on my laptop screen? Regarding the playing music from my phone but listening to it on the computer thing; all I have to do is go to media, play a song, press options, and press "activate Computer" and it audio then comes from my computer.
I have a BB Bold 9790, How do I unlock the screen? I do not have a password. I tried several basic ones as 000 999 123, but did not work. I understand from the forum I should not try 10 times, so I stopped trying. Is it possible to do a reset?
recently I have just received my phone back as I sent it away to get fixed. when I got it back it was perfect, brand new. now, the screen has went completely blank.ni haven't dropped my phone and it hasn't been exposed to water. I texted my mum, she the phoned me and 5 minutes later when I went to check my messages, I noticed that the screen is white. it's very random. I can hear thati have messages and people can till pone me but I just can't see anything
I have these lines on my touch screen, the touch screen works fine, but the lines are annoying and it doesnt seem like physical damage because i never dropped it or cause impact to it in any way.
At first there was 1 line, the it started increasing slowly, and now there are 8 lines on the screen.
Blackberry 9700 has a screen problem. i purchased it less than 1year ago in Nigeria. i have had to change the screen at a very high cost and to my suprise, the screen has gone blind again.
