BB Bold :: Use Computer As A Second Screen?

I've just recently discovered how to (play music) from my phone to the computer; using bluetooth or something. I was wondering if there was a way to also display video from my phone onto the computer? An example of what I mean is, I want to watch a movie that's on my phone, but the phone's screen is too small... could I play it but (watch) it on my laptop screen? Regarding the playing music from my phone but listening to it on the computer thing; all I have to do is go to media, play a song, press options, and press "activate Computer" and it audio then comes from my computer.

My BB Bold 9700 screen is broken. I need to see the notes I made in Memo Pad while I am waiting for a new screen. Can I view those memos on my computer or send them to an email account or something?

You know that kindle fire commercial where the mom is on the phone puts her kindle on the roof of the car, forgets it there, drives, and kindle drops on the ground? that happened to me today, but worse, as i was in a rush to go to an appointment, my phone hit the ground pretty hard. obviously the screen is cracked and the screen will not work. it's mostly just dialing 4's and 9's and it's waking up randomly. I cannot unlock my phone to transfer all of my files! I don't have an sd card, everything is kept in the internal memory and I keep everything on my phone! What are my options? I've tried shutting it down and turning it back on but the screen is still messed up. i need to unlock it to allow transfer of files from phone to computer, at least that's the only way i know how to do it. are there any other ways?

i've galaxy s2 baught it a week ago, it's my first time connecting it to my pc via micro usb. i see the storage drive in the computer opens up i can explore copy & paste, the handset charges normaly, but the touch screen stops responding. everything just freezes, just for once internet explorer opened after a long time which seems like a late response of my pressing on touchscreen however the menu and back button work well but can't press or click on anything.. i know this isn't normal.

I recently broke my droid. The phone still turns on, but the screen is disconnected. I know the phone is working and I know that I have text messages, but I cant read them because the screen is no longer communicating with the phone. Is there any way to display the Droid screen onto the computer so I could navigate and use the phone just to check some text messages that I know I've missed and need to see?

Previously when I connected my phone to my computer via USB, I would get a Motorola screen on my desktop inviting me to sync my music, photos, etc. I would be offered the choice to sync using Windows Media Player or iTunes. That screen has stopped appearing when I connect via USB. What happened to it? I uninstalled and reinstalled Motocast, no luck there.I have found this Motorola sync program pretty creaky compared to iTunes. Would I be happier using another program altogether (Winamp? something like that?) to manage my music, podcasts, etc?

So my phone got water damage, and the screen no longer works. It still functions but I have to use siri for everything. So i just decided to buy a new one. I wanted to back up my phone to itunes on my computer so I can put the new stuff on my computer, but since it wont let me back it up if i have no pass code for the iPhone, and clearly i cant enter it because my screen is not functioning. Is there a way i can open my phone with out touching it or enter the code in on itunes? Without touching the touch screen? oh and it's still asking me for the code on the last computer I backed up to.

So, i'll summarize. iPhone shows red battery screen, plug it in to charge, it sits with the red battery and zap icon for 20 minutes. Unplug it, plug it back it, iPhone screen goes yellow. Plug it in again, nothing. Put it in the computer, it wants restored.

I need to return this phone to geek squad but I must perform a factory reset on it before I send it, but I dont know how I can do this if I cant read what it is on the screen. Is there anyway that I could perform a factory reset from my computer or is there another way to perform a factory reset without needing the screen?

I've removed the battery and replaced it numerous times. Yesterday, my daughter bought a new battery, did not solve my problemI've searched this site as intensely as I can over the course of 2 1/2 days.I am retired on disability pension. When I can't get to my laptop, my BlackBerry is my only connection to help if I need it.Day before yesterday, I was on the browser when the phone froze. I did a soft reboot, the screen went black, and the phone has not come back on since. The light in the upper right corner blinks red once, pauses, blinks 3 times in a row, then pauses for a few more seconds before repeating the sequence.The phone will not show "connected" to either BlackBerry Desktop Manager nor to my laptop. I've been through a couple of "troubleshooting" flow charts but they all require that my phone "connect" to continue with the flow chart instruction but the phone will not "connect".

I had to blow away my 9780 as it was constantly locking up. Reinstalled version 6.0 Bundle 905 and everything works fine apart from an annoying message that shows to the right of the Bluetooth symbol "Connection to computer failed".This message only comes up when Bluetooth is turned on. The only Bluetooth paired device I have is my car. Prior to the re-installtion I never had this message come up. It comes up every 30 seconds or so.

I have a BlackBerry Bold 9700 and recently upgraded to the new operating system 6.0.0.526. Whereas in the previous OS, I had a choice of deleting messages on the handheld only or on both the handheld and my computer, I now only get an option to delete which removes the message from the handheld but not from my computer. Is there an option which enables the delete to remove a message from the handheld and the computer? Is there also a way to maintain the ability to delete only from the handheld?

When I send email from Outlook on my computer through my Gmail account, the sent email shows up not once, but twice on my BB. There is a check mark next to the email like other sent email has.I don't understand why any email sent from my computer shows up on my BB in the first place. I have Hotmail and Yahoo accounts and email sent from my computer do not show up on my BB. I am NOT on an Exchange server. I've look in Outlook and can't find anywhere to change it. I've look at the webserver for Gmail and can't find anything there either.

The synchronization between my computer and my Bold 9700 say "progressing"... for the last 30 minutes...I really start to believe that Blackberry is a bad product... if is not a problem with synchronization is my tablet or my phone...I had installed version OS 6... I have a Windows Xp service pack 3 and I already install Desktop Manager6.1, the problem is that the computer does not recognize any blackberry device, I tried with three diferents blackberry and no one works. Windows try to install it and later solicites a driver for the device, I alredy see in other computer what drivers the blackberry needs to works and copy them to my Windos Xp but still does not work, is there a driver or something for that windows recognize the blackberry?

I have just upgraded my old Bold 9700 to a 9790 today, and when I plugged it into my laptop, it just isn't recognised. I have already charged the device, and everything on it appears to be working correctly, but there was no message from the laptop when I plugged it in with the USB cable.
I know there was another thread about this issue and he solved it with a new cable, but I would think this a bit of a coincidence that there was something wrong with mine when it worked perfectly well with the 9700 recently! I am also running Windows 7.

I won a Nokia 5800 a few months ago from a Pepsi Competition and the phone has been working grand. Earlier on this morning at some point my screen began to malfunction appearing if it has been cracked. The phone was placed in my pocket and during some point after class and walking to halls this happened. The only other thing in my pocket was £1.50 in change (£1.00 and £0.50) and a plastic card key. I have absolutly no Idea how this has happened. I didn't fall, get mugged, get hit by anything, I just walked back to halls. Has this happened to anyone else and will my warranty cover it?Also will I be able to get all the data from it onto my computer?

Cracked my screen on my Nexus 5 today (squeezed it in a door). The touchscreen won't work and you can't see anything except green and red stripes on the screen. Is there any possibility to reach the files from my computer even if i can't unlock the phone with my graphical password? It runs Android 5.1 and I haven't rooted it or anything. Very desperate to reach the data on my phone, have photos, videos and a diary from my year in Australia... Should think about back-up next time!

When i connect my bold 9700 to my computer with the usb, the manager pops up and everythings fine. My only questions is that i cant eject safely with the windows safe removal tool. IS there any way to eject safely, or does it not matter?

I'm having a bit of trouble deciding between the Nexus One and the Blackberry 9700. I've heard some problems with the Nexus One and the Blackberry 9700 seems to work perfectly fine, no problems at all. My phone will be used mostly for web browsing, sms and mms, and email (gmail). Which phone do you think is best for me? Anyone own both, care to share? Also either phone will be replacing my computer, since mine broke. How do i get pics off my bb onto my laptop?I put the usb cable into my laptop then the other end into my bb, then it said insert the disk that came with the bb, which i did.It says its successfully installed the software, but i cant find nothing on my laptop.I thought it would be the same process as with a digi camera, plug the usb into your laptop and camera then a pop up comes up saying do you wanna put pics from your cam to your laptop.What am i missing?
