Jun 24, 2014Perhaps i'm preaching to the converted,but since hi-res images do not show up as thumbnails,just as DNG files when looking at the files on the phone, using windows explorer,i decided to copy all the hi-res images to a new folder on the computer.On looking at the new folder in explorer, thumbnails where being shown, but with strange purple and green casts.I then decided to run all the images through Adobes DNG convertor,and lo and behold all the images where now normal,and easily viewable.

May 20, 2010I've had my N97 for about 6 months and it has been the worst nokia experience. 7 days after purchase, i had to take my device to nokia care for the much documented camera scratch issue. it took a month for them to fix it. my device keeps crashing and freezing every now and then, and tiny scratches are reappearing on the camera lens. now that its out of warranty, i'd need to pay for repairs even though its a knows issue.And there's this weird issue i face every now and then, captured images wont show up in the 'photos' app, although they are visible in file manager. A *¤7370¤ corrercts the problem, but then again the issue reappears in a couple of weeks. Nokia care suggests to reset the device. so its like this:I reset my device every two weeks for it to work correctly. my next device i'm afraid, is not going to be a nokia.

1) When I have an email, whether my personal or work, and the email contains images, they don't show up on the BB. I know within each e-mail I can ask for the images to show but is there an option somewhere for it to always show? I don't want to have to ask for the images on each e-mail.
2) At the top of the screen, I have the Facebook logo and the the number 2 right before it and it won't go away.I do not have any new notifications from Facebook-I know a red star comes with those to alert me to that.

May 4, 2012Up until a few days ago everything was functioning properly. Now when I want to download the images in an email, nothing happens. It doesn't even show the downloading icon. And the option to Get Images is gone unless I switch to plain text and back or exit the email and open again, but it still does nothing if I try to Get Images again.

Jul 1, 2010So I had my Get Images option in my email disappear about a month or two ago, and I haven't seen it since.I can't remember changing anything, my HTML is enabled, my "Download Images Automatically" option is enabled.I tried resending service books, and I have the latest software/firmware version, but nothing.I can see HTML formatting in the email (like coloured backgrounds, formatted text, etc, but no images, I don't get the option to "Get Images" either when I press the BB key. The only options I get is More, More All and Get Plain Text.

Sep 1, 2010I moved to BlackBerry Bold 9700 about two weeks ago. Everything works great, except for one issue. Images in my HTML email messages don't download. I have tried all combinations of settings on automatically download images and confirm images download, in the Options > Email Settings menu. What happens is: When I hard reset the phone (take out the battery and reinsert it), and then do Get Images, images download. However, this continues only for some 3-4 hours, or say about 10-15 messages. After a point, Get Images doesn't download images. Even the arrows on the top right of the screen, that indicate an attempt to download, don't come. It almost seems like the phone has kept a limited space aside to download images in HTML messages, and this space is filled up and hence it stops downloading. The moment the battery is taken out and reinserted, Get Images works. But again for some time only.Tried taking Vodafone's help. They updated my Service Book, which according to them is the "standard solution" to Images downloading problem. But nothing happened. Which is expected, because they were possibly giving me a solution for images never downloading. In my case, they download for a bit, and then refuse to, till hard reset.Tried finding where any memory related settings could be there. Found a thing in Settings > Memory > Compression. Tried both Enabled and Disabled, it doesn't help.

Oct 17, 2011I have a new BB 9900 Bold Touch and am slowly getting my way around it. I have all my pictures on in my picture library. I visited App World yesterday to download a few games, came out and thought I'd change my wallpaper picture on my phone. Went into 'picture library' and found just under 500 images that I never saved to my phone! Scrolling through them I recognised a few from the games I viewed and downloaded from App World. I deleted them all (took me near on an hour) went on there again today and a few are back again! It seems my phone is automatically saving images. How do I stop this happening? Is it some kind of setting I have to change?

Mar 24, 20101: when i send some images or files, i always have to wait that the receiver accept the file... how can we change this option... and go back with the old style? I understood that this is a "problem" of the new version of BB messenger.
If i send an image to a contact who still have an old model (es BB 8300) with the old software, on my phone is displayed "file sent" straight, without any wait. Instead if i send an image to someone who has a new software, i have to choose the size of the image, and wait for his acceptance. And i also saw that if a contact doesn't accept the file immediately, after some time (really i cannot say how many time), there is a kind of time out of the sending (displayed on his phone)...how is it possible (on my phone was always displayed "waiting for acceptance")? How can i cancel this option?
2: with the old software if someone didn't read a message, a clock appeared on the face of the contact, and then i usually set the advice, to know when he read the message thanks to the sound. With the new software instead, i saw you can just set the advice only if the contact is Unavailable.
IPhone :: Wi-Fi Off Effect On Assisted GPS?
Mar 20, 2012With Wi-Fi off and opening the native iPhone map app there is always a pop up message saying GPS accuracy improves with Wi-Fi on and has a button to go right to settings to turn it on. Okay, I know GPS accuracy is improved while connected to Wi-Fi, but is it improved even when not connected but turned on?Thinking maybe just having Wi-Fi on searching and locating connections may pinpoint your location relative to Wi-Fi routers and/or hot spots along your route and help with positioning and tracking. I know this would kill the battery but am neurotic enough about my GPS tracking apps to do it anyway.My experiments with this are inclusive. May seem like a silly question but like I said I'm neurotic about my GPS accuracy. So, does anyone know for sure one way or the other?
