View 4 RepliesI have added my hotmail address in my blackberry bold 9700. I seem to have a problem with images in my emails. They do not appear. I have all the features enabled html etc but still no use. When I press get images from the menu it still does not work.

View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently when I get an email, the sound goes off and the red led flashes like it's supposed to be. If I don't check it right away and check it like 30 minutes later, I go to the messages folder as usual and the email is in the list there, but the envelope icon shows that it's already opened. I didn't open it yet, and nobody else did either.

View 5 Replies View RelatedUntil a few days ago, whenever I wanted to send a pic to someone via BBM, it would prompt me, asking whether I wanted to resize the image, or send at original resolution. Today I find, for several contacts, the images are just getting automatically resized. The prompt still appears for some of my contacts.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a new BB 9900 Bold Touch and am slowly getting my way around it. I have all my pictures on in my picture library. I visited App World yesterday to download a few games, came out and thought I'd change my wallpaper picture on my phone. Went into 'picture library' and found just under 500 images that I never saved to my phone! Scrolling through them I recognised a few from the games I viewed and downloaded from App World. I deleted them all (took me near on an hour) went on there again today and a few are back again! It seems my phone is automatically saving images. How do I stop this happening? Is it some kind of setting I have to change?
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo I had my Get Images option in my email disappear about a month or two ago, and I haven't seen it since.I can't remember changing anything, my HTML is enabled, my "Download Images Automatically" option is enabled.I tried resending service books, and I have the latest software/firmware version, but nothing.I can see HTML formatting in the email (like coloured backgrounds, formatted text, etc, but no images, I don't get the option to "Get Images" either when I press the BB key. The only options I get is More, More All and Get Plain Text.
View 5 Replies View Related'email issues -Since last night, the address line of the sender is not appearing, and HTML code appears in the body of the email on all my email accounts I did a complete restore to factory settings and relinked the email accounts and there is no improvement.I have double checked all the settings, but can't see anything obvious.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI moved to BlackBerry Bold 9700 about two weeks ago. Everything works great, except for one issue. Images in my HTML email messages don't download. I have tried all combinations of settings on automatically download images and confirm images download, in the Options > Email Settings menu. What happens is: When I hard reset the phone (take out the battery and reinsert it), and then do Get Images, images download. However, this continues only for some 3-4 hours, or say about 10-15 messages. After a point, Get Images doesn't download images. Even the arrows on the top right of the screen, that indicate an attempt to download, don't come. It almost seems like the phone has kept a limited space aside to download images in HTML messages, and this space is filled up and hence it stops downloading. The moment the battery is taken out and reinserted, Get Images works. But again for some time only.Tried taking Vodafone's help. They updated my Service Book, which according to them is the "standard solution" to Images downloading problem. But nothing happened. Which is expected, because they were possibly giving me a solution for images never downloading. In my case, they download for a bit, and then refuse to, till hard reset.Tried finding where any memory related settings could be there. Found a thing in Settings > Memory > Compression. Tried both Enabled and Disabled, it doesn't help.

View 7 Replies View Related1: when i send some images or files, i always have to wait that the receiver accept the file... how can we change this option... and go back with the old style? I understood that this is a "problem" of the new version of BB messenger.
If i send an image to a contact who still have an old model (es BB 8300) with the old software, on my phone is displayed "file sent" straight, without any wait. Instead if i send an image to someone who has a new software, i have to choose the size of the image, and wait for his acceptance. And i also saw that if a contact doesn't accept the file immediately, after some time (really i cannot say how many time), there is a kind of time out of the sending (displayed on his phone)...how is it possible (on my phone was always displayed "waiting for acceptance")? How can i cancel this option?
2: with the old software if someone didn't read a message, a clock appeared on the face of the contact, and then i usually set the advice, to know when he read the message thanks to the sound. With the new software instead, i saw you can just set the advice only if the contact is Unavailable.
Apparently my device is set to automatically send out read mail receipts. Can I change that option to never send them out? On the old thread it sounded like I have no choice, but that was re: a different type of BB. If anyone knows how to even get into my options to look I'd appreciate it. I've read how other people are getting there - going from the main menu to email settings/options/advanced settings, etc, but I can't find all the "options" I need.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIs the red indicator message light supposed to go off automatically? Yesterday, I picked up the phone and there was no red indicator light blinking -- however, when I touched my mouse I realized that there had been an incoming message on my BlackBerry Messenger sitting there for about 3 hours. I did not pick up my BlackBerry sooner because I did not see any red light when I walked into the room during that 3-hour period. What can I do to make sure this red light blinks forever until I finally notice it and review the message?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI had some problems with my BOLD 9900 recognizing my BlackBerry ID, so I thought the clever move would be to take the battery out whilst the phone was on, but the phone has now lost all pre-loaded Ringtones, Notifier Tones,Reminder Tones, Alarm Tones. The shop I bought the phone from said it would take two weeks to repair it.The shop I didn't buy the phone from said they have a straight swap policy with Blackberry.....(I'll buy my next phone there)Another shop said they could fix it by wiping the phone and downloading the software anew, but for a price. Who knows how all these pre-loaded Tones can be returned to the phone?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've seen a few post that sort-of answer my question, but none seem exactly right. I have a Bold 9700 and use a BIS to retrieve my personal email from my ISP's POP server. I don't use BES. When I'm at home or at work and have direct access to email, I'd like to turn off my bb email client. How can I do that?
In one post I saw the recommendation Messages > Options > Email Reconciliation > Wireless Reconcile -> set of Off. Is this enough? (I have my BB set up for wi-fi connection when I'm home, in case that makes a difference.)
I hope someone can help because I'm losing the will to live over this one!

I bought a SIM free BB 9700 to use with my 02 SIM card. I applied the unlimited BB tariff and proceeded to set up four email accounts into the device which are all for my small business. I waited to do this until I knew the O2 bolt on had been applied correctly.I set the accounts up via the BIS server website which sent them down to the device; seemingly correctly.
I received email correctly for that day and could send as well with everything syncing with my IMAP servers and Outlook.Next morning - no email delivered to the device and I was unsuccessful in sending emails as well from the device to addresses.I tried to send down the service books - I sent them but no change.I got my four email accounts working again correctly but had to delete the accounts from BIS and recreate.I could then receive email correctly for the rest of the day and could send as well with everything syncing with my IMAP servers and Outlook.
Next morning the same thing happened - no email delivered to the device and I was unsuccessful in sending emails as well from the device to addresses.I then did a complete device wipe. When the device rebooted it seemed to synchronise with the BIS and then my accounts worked again for the remainder of the day. This morning - the same thing happened - no email delivered to the device and I was unsuccessful in sending emails as well from the device to addresses.
I have now created my @o2email address and applied my long standing @hotmail.co.uk address to the 9700 and they work fine - at the moment (we'll see about tomorrow!) to see if they fail as well.I have sent test mails today from the @O2 account and hotmail to each other and also to my main small business account from my BB. The @O2 and Hotmail emails arrive both on the device and (hotmail) on outlook and the main business account arrives on outlook BUT the main business account email does NOT arrive on the device.
I cannot seemingly send anything from my business addresses anywhere (from the device) with the only outgoing addresses that work being the @O2 and @hotmail accounts on the BB - unless I do a device wipe or delete the accounts and recreate.Emails sent from the BB from either @O2 or @hotmail arrive on the BB but not anything sent to the work accounts sent from @O2 or @hotmail from the BB - although the emails sent to the work addresses WILL appear on my outlook...
Speaking to O2 has been tough and they are blaming the server people who host my small business domain and such, although I think it is more than that though I could be wrong. My server people insist it isn't their end, saying they can see from the logs that RIM seems to stop checking for emails at times they detailed when the device stopped receiving emails from one day to the next.
I'm trying to set up my personal email on the 9700, but it seems that i have only one option, Blackberry Enterprise Server option. Is that suppose to be that way? I don't seem to have the " I want to create or add an email address" option.
Im using a Bold 9700, v5.0.0.442(Platforms 5.1.0.121)
