I noticed that my blackberry messenger notification at my home screen no longer indicates how many new messages I have. I've recently updated my BBM. I tried to reboot it twice but it's still the same and my friends are not experiecing this.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9700 running 5.0.0.545 with bell mobility. When I upgraded to this version I am no longer able to type in a contact name from the home screen to dial them. I now have to go into the address book, then type their name. I can only enter numbers directly from the home screen. Is anyone else having this issue?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhile upgrading to the latest version of my BB messenger I had two unread messages. I didn't read these messages and completed the upgrade. Ever since then I have had the notification icon displaying the number 2 with the bb icon on my front screen. So now when I have two new messages it shows 4 and after reading the two it continues to display the two messages that don't exist.

But now I can't seem to bring up the vkeyboard on the home screen to allow me to enter the code. All the instructions say to open the menu and select "show VK" but that's not showing in the menu. Also, I mapped it to a side key and it brings it up everywhere BUT the home screen. Did rim disable this ability?

I have tried a battery pull, and searching for unread text messages, there are none, there are also no updates for any apps, or any facebook notifications - I have reset my fb notifications from the fb app and nothing has changed.
They have been stuck there for over a week and it is beginning to irritate me.
There is a notification icon just appeared that I have never seen before - it appeared on my husband's phone 2 days ago and my phone yesterday. It is in the top left of the screen - a square with a blue background and what looks like a person on one side and a speech bubble on the other. I have been through all my folders and messaging option and I have no notifications that I can find

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have got an Sony z3 and was using it fine for the last 8-7months,the problem is touch icon in my mob doesn't respond works once in a blue moon. homebutton, backbiting and the another button used to close opened apps also don't work, it may if click for nearly 20-25times.
Second problem: I can't scroll down the notification bar in portrait mode,it works in landscape mode.this was the first which had araised in my phone and later the home screen buttons.
When I doube tap the home button to use the camera from the home screen, it sort of 'hops' up about 1/2 a cm, but then bounces back down without opening the camera app, this is only since the upgrade to 5.1. I tried a hard reset, but no joy (and no shortcut to the camera either!!)

The next day, I could no longer find the Enterprise Messenger Icon. I've looked in every folder and it's nowhere to be found. View 3 Replies View RelatedI've always hated Messenger's "Chat Heads" thing, and disable it as soon as possible. I just upgraded to a Galaxy S6 edge+ though, and once I disabled Chat Heads, I started getting these irritating notification windows. They show up nomatter what I'm doing, even if it's a game or something that takes up the whole screen. I can't find any way to get rid of them short of disabling notifications for the app entirely, which I don't want to do... I want to be notified of new messages with a chime/vibration and with an icon in the top status bar, I just don't want this window appearing all over whatever I'm doing! However, I want to add more icons to the home screen other than the 5 that are currently on there.How do I do this? I am currently using the "Widescreen HD 9700 O550" theme (which looks really nice).I just switched over from the G1/Android OS so I am still learning my way around the Blackberry.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust discovered my home screen is blank, so I thought I had accidentally changed/moved it when I turned on "Easy Mode" to check that out. Switched back to "Standard Mode", but found my home screen gone, with a blank page in it's place. I found some directions on how to move pages around, making one a home screen. I selected the page I wanted as home screen and moved it to the page where the white house icon is highlighted. I was done but noticed nothing had changed. Home page still blank, so I did it again. I find that whenever I try creating my home screen page by moving it to the highlighted white house icon, the white house icon shifts to the left, remaining blank.

The problem is that I get notifications for facebook on the screen, but when I go to see the ''unread'' there is none. I re-check the latest notifications, and can't remove it either.
Got the new lumia 950xl yesterday in the UK, loving it so far but when I switch off my phone and back on again it seems to change the notification sound for Facebook and messenger, not really sure why so? Really annoying considering the messenger default is set to none so if I forget I won't know I have a message until I check my phone....

View 4 Replies View RelatedA few days ago I switched to another phone for a few days and I left my Bold with its battery removed for a day or two.When I restarted my Bold 9700, I've been unable to see or act on the home screen or apps screen. However, the phone is still working (push on the green button and the phone screen pops up), same with the long press on blackberry key.
I did search to do a reset of my handset but I can't find a way to do it knowing that I can't access the menus.
How do you add more icons to the home screen on the bold 9650? How many themes are there suppose to be?

On my 9700 there is an option to change my home screen layout from "Zen" (which seems to be the default setting) to "Today" which lists my messages and calendar on my home screen. Obviously this would be much more useful on the handheld I use for work but I cannot seem to find this layout option on my 9000. Is it available?

So I am writing everything down as a memo on my BB.Is there a way to set this memo as a home screen so I am always concious of what I am spending? lol. When I had a Sony Erricson many moons ago you could set a memo as home screen and you could still see the picture I had set as the home screen but you could faintly see the text over the image if that makes sense?
I am hesitant to change one of the Shortcut Keys on the side to Memo Pad because I use them a lot for camera and calendar.
