I recently deactivated my Blackberry Bold 9000 (v4.6.0.304 operating system) from AT&T since I ported my cell phone number to US Cellular who had better coverage in my region. I'd like to continue using my Blackberry Bold 9000 as a free wi-fi only internet access device and install the Google Voice app so my kids could text message and make phone calls via the Google Voice app and phone's wi-fi connection. While my BB Bold is able to connect to our home wi-fi network like in the past it doesn't successfully connect to the internet and gives me the following message: "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later."
It seems I can't get into app world via only wifi. I tried turned off the mobile network, because I don't have a data plan. I can browse any website when I just use wifi, but I can't get into app world.

i was subscribed to BIS on my phone and after a few days the i couldn't access internet. I noticed the blackberry icon next to the 3G sign is no longer there which means i'm not accessing the service. I called the service provider and they told to do a battery pull which i've done several times. They told me my phone isnt activated on their network but it was initially. I've also tried registering from the host routing table in the options several times but there are still no entries. i was then told to wipe the device which i did, but i still didn't get the service.
This probably a dumbass question but i was wondering if there is a way to access the internet wirelessly on my pc through my phone.i have heard of people doing this but im not sure on models of phones or service carriers.

I just switched to sprint yesterday and picked up the 9650. Today I tried to access the sprint blackberry internet service site to change my signature. When I go to register it tells me I cant access the Blackberry internet service from my pc and I should access it from my phone. I cant find any where on m phone to add a signature, any help? This is a personal blackberry account.
I recieved a Blackberry message stating I needed to enter my email password on the account which I have been using. I have followed the instruction by entering setup and clicking Email Accounts. On that screen it allows to me two options Internet Mail Account & Enterprise Account. However when I try and click the Internet Mail account nothing happens, it does not let me use this option. I have tried the Enterprise Account and it says "Status: initialzing service" but nothing is happening. (been like this for 30mins)
I am using Bold 9900 (it used to be used by other so the mobile has previous settings. I just replaced the SIM card of the used mobile. I found it cannot access to internet with the message "There is insufficient network coverage to process your request. try again later."

Have had brand new phone purchased through retail store for 1 week and WIFI tethering does not work. Â Other devices can connect to the phone but cannot get access to internet. Â I have the latest updates and no other issues have popped up yet (have not tried usb tethering yet). Â I am running stock software.

i have a bold 9700 on pay as you go but i have internet access as i have a sim card which allows you internet access and unlimited texts for 30 days if you top up £10 similar to a solo rolling contract does this mean i cant use bbm?
I have a problem with a new blackberry bold 9700 i have just bought. I live in bolivia and i purchased this phone, asked in the store if it is compatible with my network etc and we tested with my sim. It worked fine for calls and got a 3g signal. When i returned home I tried configuring the internet access andn could not get this to work. So today i took it to my provider and asked a tech to configure and he said that i must first buy a "plan blackberry" for it to work - ok i said ad went to change my plan to plan blackberry - but after i had this the tried to set it up and then tell me that the phone is locked to only use at & t blackberry service. So my questions are ..
1. - is this true? 2. can i unlock this somehow?
seems unfair that i have paid full price for a phone that is tied to a network that doesn't exist in my country - it was imported legally - if i cannot change it.
I randomly lose internet access with but still have full use of certain app's like bbm and whatsapp & full signal (3G). For example if I restart my phone before I go to sleep, wake up the next morning, about an hour or so in to my day I will open the facebook or twitter app and my feed's wont refresh although I have perfectly fine network and my whatsapp & bbm work fine, the same problem is with the browser, I try search something and have no luck either.
I understand the process to disable data services and therby stop emails. How can I stop email without disabling internet 3G Wifi access? (If at all)It is a work phone so I have no BIS access.
I had problems with my blackberry bold 9700 so I sent it way to get fixed & 02 said it could not be repaired and sent me a new one. However my new blackberry wont send texts, allow me to make calls or use the internet.
