Dec 13, 2011I've had a 9300 curve since august and love the phone. However recently I've been noticing a problem with the charger in which I've had to wiggle it around to make the phone charge. However I tried it with the USB cablbe before and the USB slotted in fine and did not seem loose at all. I guess it's the charger that's broke? Perhaps the cable is loose or torn inside or something?Should I just get a new charger?

What I mean by this is I heard that aged four hundred complete charges and draining of the iPhone battery the phones battery only holds 80% of the charge it use to. Jan 3, 2011I've recently purchased within the last 2 weeks the Blackberry Bold 9780. For some reason I can't get the phone to charge in any Car using the 12v cigarette lighter. I've had no issues with charging it from the Mains and the USB port on a PC. When plugging into the Cigarette lighter, the charger's LED lights up to indicate that there is power being received to the charging unit and after inserting the mini USB connection into the Phone, I get the connection bleep and the clock appears, however after all of this I still get no charging indicator on the battery. Also sometimes when I re-connect the cable I get the below message from the phone:
`Some USB hubs might not provide enough power. Plug the hub into a power outlet (if available) and re-connect your Blackberry device. Try connecting to another USB port (different computer, USB hub or travel charger). Verify that your USB cable is securely connected to your Blackberry device and USB port. Verify that your Computer is standby, hibernate or sleep mode. Verify that Blackberry device USB drivers are installed on your Computer`.
I've now tried three different car chargers all supported by Blackberry - I've sinced purchased one of the Mini USB Chargers that plug into the Cigarette lighter Mini-USB cables - still the same issue... I've tried charging in other cars - also my wife owns a HTC Wildfire and she's able to charge her phone from the Mini USB charger I have recently purchased.
I've spoken to Orange who don't seem to have heard of any issues like this - I've since asked Orange to replace the phone which I'm hoping to receive within the next 24hrs...

If i connect it to the computer or wall charger, the phone displays the charging battery (with no filled cells) image but the phone itself will not turn on and boot itself. the phone connects to my PC, but the BB desktop manager cannnot connect to it.

Jul 4, 20109700 Blackberry decided to turn itself off as it was plugged into the charger. Now it won't turn on fully. It gets 2/3rds of the way along the horizontal loading line then turns off . Red light comes on for a few seconds then the phone tries to start again and the process repeats. I've removed battery and sim but doesn't change anything.

Jan 23, 2010I have a Bold 9000 & one month ago I have plugged it in to a car charger (not BB original one). In that moment the phone turned off instantly and when trying to turn it back on the LCD remained completely white. I could not make or receive calls, e-mail, etc., the phone was dead whit the LCD white.
when I got home I plugged in the AC charger & the phone started ok. Now if I charge it fully I can use it for one day, or half day if it is very intense used. If the battery goes bellow 75-80% & I access basic functions (e-mail, sms, browsing) in 1-2 mins the LCD goes white & the phone is dead. Basically I need to keep the battery level higher than 80% in order to make sure I can use my phone.

Originally all posted to one folder messages folder in the message 'center' where all the sms etc go into (middle of the screen icon at the top) i am not sure what has started to happen but suddenly i then had 2 messages folders and now i have 3. They all go to the same place and sometimes contain the same message which just appears in all 3.
I think this started when i started configuring the sync of the deletion of the folders "folder reconciliation". how i can delete these additional folders as they are just a nuicense they mean very little as mail is randomly flowing into them.
BB Bold :: Missing Wifi Hop Spot Option On Bold 9900 On 0s 7?
Mar 7, 2012I had recently downloaded and installed the new os 7.1.0.267 os from SK Telecom form the software download page of on blackberry site to my bold 9900. Upon doing that i was able to access the new mobile hot spot feature and even set it up for use after calling my service provider for the APN which is Lime Jamaica. I even tested it by using another phone which detected it. However sometime afterwards about 30 minutes to an hour later while listening to music my headset got pull out by mistake and upon putting it back in realized music wouldn't start playing back after pressing the side button. Unlocked the phone only to see the play icon highlighted in music player but nothing wouldn't register when clicked with trackpad or touch screen. plus got a message on the screen saying that device media player was busy, which continued for a while. Did a battery pull afterwards which fixed the problem. However a few hours later when i decided to show a friend the new feature and test it by connecting his phone, upon accessing the connections menu the mobile hot spot option was missing even in networks and connections. essentially it disappeared form the phone the only apps on the phone besides the default ones was wikitude and whatsapps. Even after a factory reset it didn't return. Did a clean wipe of the os and installed the os again upon which the hot spot option returned only to disappear again after about a few minutes at which time no extra apps was insatlled just the default ones. Have no idea whats causing this and whats worse the 7.1.0.267 download has been removed from the Sk Telecom link.

I found that I had enabled search for WIFI and also enabled two of the settings for gps. After removing settings and changing display to lower brightness and not using internet it is better now. I took BSNL service in India for my vacation. They have 3g in very few places. I am not sure if the 3g or their SIM card is the culprit.
I want to buy car charger. I found Nokia dc-6 selling for Rs 950($20). Do I need to use only this? I called and found that Samsung one for Rs 250($6). Is it ok to use generic one or other brands?
What do I need to look for when I buy car charger for n900? I hope it works in USA also. Appreciate any help since I need to buy ASAP. I can exploit all features in my journeys since I am not driving here unlike in USA;-)
