BB Bold :: App World Is Installed But "not Running"?
Nov 18, 2012
i have the latest version of app wprld installed on my bb9780 i didnt see he icon on the application menu sor i tried looking ain the applications indatlled ... there it says inatalled bnut "never used " and "not running" how u i "run" it?
I have checked my device application Management and I have Blackberry App World installed on my Phone, however, I can't find it anywhere on my phone to access it. I have searched for it and noting comes up.
In the last week my bold 9700 keeps on displaying memory manager and shows applications I can delete, but won't actually let me delete anything as it's basicall frozen with clock icon ticking away.Strange thing is if I reboot device, and look at available memory it shows 30mb available, but as I watch it ticks its way down to nothing. What could be eating at memory when I'm not doing anything.Device has become basically useless. After this started, I did install new release of OS that was available when connected to my PC hoping that would solve issue.APP world does not display all my installed apps when I go there??
A while back I updated my phone. So I backed up and restored my applications so I didn't lose the few I paid for. The other day I got a notification for an update for one of the applications I downloaded after the update. That got me thinking - since none of my other apps are in the "My World" section of the App World, I haven't been - and won't be - getting any updates for those applications. Is there any way I can add those applications to "My World" so I can get notifications for updates and stuff?
I recently reinstalled BB App World and it works fine. However, whenever the BB restarts with QuickPull, the AW icon is displayed with all the other icons when the menu key is held down. But if the AW icon is selected, AW does not appear. Nor does it appear if selected from the "All" screen.
I did the app world update and now my applications are not showing. I do see them still installed when I connect to the PC Desktop Software. How do I access my programs now?
My BB ID works on the Blackberry website, but I can't use the BB ID on my new Bold 9900 (it says 'unable to log into your Blackberry ID account'). Vodafone suggested I cleaned the memory (options, security, advanced security, memory cleaning), and then tried to delete my old BBID (the one that worked on my old Bold 9700) and set up a new BBID, but that didn't work either. After looking online others have tried security wipes but many say they haven't worked. I'm unable to access Blackberry protect and 'my world' in Blackberry App World, or do anything that involves using my BB ID on my phone
I unlock a blackberry 8830 verizon wireless World Edition celluar phone to be used with GSM but after unlcoking i install the sim card and then change the mode from global to GSM only but the phone has no Signal at all, do any of you a solution to this problem ?if i change the mode to global the phone has signal and the sim card that i am putting in there is acxtivated and properly working.
Yesterday i installed an app from Dictionary.com called Dictionary. i already had it installed but wanted to perform an update cause u cannot copy and paste the corectly spelled word directly into wherever u originally mispelled it. Anyway i performed an update, Bold asked me to reboot, now the phone boots half way, then restarts.over and over and over and over. Im back down to my Pearl. Is there any way to salvage this situation without me having to erase and reinstall everything from scratch? Is there a"safe mode" i can boot into on the phone and manually remove the app cause i have a feeling thats what's causing the reboots.
When I am on the home screen and hold down the menu key, I see the browser is running. I close it everytime and even went to applications and closed it there. Is the browser always supposed to run?
I have installed the Blackberry messenger on my Bold 9000. It's fully functional.I have 4 small icons now, indicating that I have new messages, but I can't find any new once.
Looking into this matter I found that in my Application Center, the BB Messenger is listed as "not installed" even though I installed it. Re-install also hasn't helped.i cannot delete it as "delete" is not listed in the menu. I'm also not able to see the application using teh Desktop Manager.
so my question are:
1) How can I find out what are the 4 icons indicating?
2) How can de-install my messenger now to just start from scratch?
Bold 9650- Verizon First time Blackberry user Is there a way to monitor which apps are running? I'll launch an app, think that I closed out of it and when I return to it, it appears that it was never closed. This would eat up some serious battery life if I have numerous apps running in the background. Please let me know your opinions.
I just purchased a Class 2 16gb microSD card and my 9700 is running slow. Is the 16 too big or is it because of the Class 2? The decrease in performance is not worth the extra space compared to the 2GB that came with the phone.
You know how when you open an application, and just press the hangup / power key, it exits the application from the screen but it still keeps running in the background memory. I have noticed that such applications in the memory can drain the battery real quick. I was wondering if anyway on the phone you can check which applications are currently running in the background memory? If i can find that out, I can just exit all the apps and save my battery life. Let me know if anyone knows a way to do so.
My phone, on a weekly basis, gets very hot and runs out of battery. even if I charge it for 10 hours and unplug it at say midnight, but 4am I am being awoken with the phone beeping as it is about to cut out.
something is killing my bb battery , it hardly lasts for 8 idle hrs and the same battery on another bb will last for around 2 days if not used too much , I had initially installed quite a few apps and thought maybe this was the reason for the weak battery , so i deleted all the apps and still the same . I dont have any apps other than the normal ones running in the background.
another thing is that my bb keeps hanging , esp while locking and unlocking Its like there is a bug or a virus on the bb I also dont see the name of the person calling when the phone is in the holster but when it is out it shows .....
i updated my app world, and now whenever i open it, i get a message that "my blackberry identity needs to be updated, " then when i try to update it, it says Blackberry Identity Installation failed, and app world closes.
I have a Blackberry Bold 9780, OS 6.0.0.359, and I don't have blackberry maps on my phone. I bought it at amazon and the description said that the maps would be included. where to get blackberry maps ?
I updated the OS, now whenever go into Twitter it freezes (but doesn't crash), sometimes for fifteen minutes. Then it gives an error message regaridng an uncaught exception. Or some such!
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Twitter buut it hasn't helped. What can I try next?
It's happened to me a couple times now. I just got this 9700 and it doesn't even warn me the battery is low, it actually has a bar or two in the battery icon and it just completely dies, so I have to plug it in to the USB and wait 5 minutes for it to start up, THEN it says it has a low battery. The phone has a generic wall charger.
My blackberry is going at a snail's pace...no, make that an injured snail's pace! I am at a loss as to why. I have very few downloaded apps: one or two games and a couple of random apps. My actual harddrive space is fine (859MB total/846MB free), but it tells me I have 0.0kb of available application memory. However, I do not have ANYTHING running besides what always runs like "home screen" and "phone" and "browser"...you know, the stuff you can't remove from the Switch Application menu. And it will seem fine but when I do open a program, I get the hourglass every time I click something or scroll.
To give you an idea of how irritating this is, it took me over 20 seconds to unlock the keypad, and another 20-30 seconds before the hourglass went away and I could move my cursor (slowly) to the app I wanted to run. And heaven forbid I run 2 apps at once. Then I've had to wait over 5 minutes for hourglasses to go away. It wasn't always like this. I used to leave all my apps running. I never worried about whether I pressed the EndCall button or closed it from the menu. Could this be caused by one of my apps? If so, how do I find out which one? Ugh I'm so frustrated! If I needed to call 911, I would be dead before I got my keypad unlocked. I'm not exaggerating.
I am on my 3rd Blackberry, currently on the new Bold 9900. It developed this camera fault that seems to be an issue throughout the Blackberry series. Yep the "camera not working because there are to many apps running" problem......except there are no apps running, this is clearly a hardware issue.
The small clock that indicates that something is loading has been running for a couple of hours. Functionality of device is severely limited. This has been occurring frequently.
Each time I reset or restart my Bold, all these service books are put on my phone automatically. Things like Facebook, AccuWeather, TeleNav, Tetris Demo, ToneMaker Demo, A BUNCH of games and other things. They are not installed but they are links that open up my browser to download them. I delete the service books so its goes away, but after i restart, BAM they are all back!!! this never happened before I got a free month of data service from t-mobile. Or is this an automatic when you get a data-plan? How can I stop or block this?
