BB Bold :: When Do 9900/9930 Users Get A 1450ah Battery
May 12, 2012
Blackberry Bold 9900/9930, which cost around £500 only has a **bleep** JM1 1230ah battery.New Curve 9920/9930, which cost around £150 has a mega JS1 1450ah batterry.Question, how can RIM explain how a great phones is ruined by a **bleep** battery, why do we have to use aftermarket batteries to get through the day.If the bew CEO is reading this SORT IT OUT!
Last year my Verizon 9930 and this year my wife's ATT 9900 stopped working after a few days of use overseas. Under both circumstances the phones were perfectly fine for the first few days after which the keyboards became unresponsive (delayed response, not being able to unlock, reboots). Battery pulls did not change anything. Interestingly you could see the email count going up so the phones were connecting. 24 hours after retuning to the US both phones worked as if nothing happened.
from the link below and from the comparisons in the RIM website, I had the impression the 9930 only added CDMA to the 9900. I then decided to purchase a 9930 to be safe, but am having difficulties connecting it to my Brazilian phone provider (the data does not work, but voice is good). confirm that the 9930 really only adds CDMA technology to the 9900 and should be working with my Brazilian GSM provider?
I found out that when I try to dial something in the "Phone" section (Phone icon), there is a sound - how do I disable it?Also I use a pre-paid package, when I check my fone balance, there is always a network notification sound that is REALLY loud (!) and there is absolutely no way to reduce the volume or make it silence.I work at office and I want to silence the key tone when dialing in Phone section, along as reduce sound or silence the network notification sound when check balance.Atm the only way is to switch to Silence or Alerts Off modes.
If I use the holster that came with my 9930, it goes into sleep mode like it is supposed to, but I don't like that holster. It's too difficult to remove the BB from those holsters, when you grab it to slide it out, you also push the volume up key.I prefer the face-in spring loaded belt holster like I used with my Bold 9650. I am using ones designed for the Bold 9000 and they fit, but the holster sleep mode doesn't work. I tested the holsters with an old 9000 and they do work correctly, but no luck with the 9930 - as if the magnets are in a different location.
My Blackberry Bold 9900 is not turning on.Details: A battery pull has not fixed my problem.I tried using another 9900 battery, however it did not work.My battery does not work on other 9900 devices. There are no signs of moisture, nor has there been contact with water. The LED light doesn't show, nor does anything on the screen.
I have a BB Bold 9930 with OS v7.1.0.163 and I cannot find Battery Saving Mode under Device options. I was told that I needed to update my device software to a more recent build, after around .3xx, not sure which. But when I try to update my device software through the BlackBerry webpage or the Desktop Manager, they are both telling me that my device software is up to date. How can I update my device software to a more recent build on OS 7.1?
Like the title says I have the white battery red x 50% of the time on a battery pull. And the only way to fix is a finger flick against the volumn side of the phone, it is dumb but works. But I would like to not do this anymore. Any thoughts would be good. I am running 7.1 with virgin mobile in canada.
I switch from I phone 4 to black Berry 9900 .. it cost me $ 720 USD.. the reason is I phone battery last for one full day,
but the problem now, black berry 9900 battery doesn't last for 8 hours .. even though i don't use ( Internet browsing) - ( Blutooth ) - ( wifi) and the screen brightness is 10 only ...
I just recently got a blackberry bold 9900 just nearly 2 weeks ago, I took my battery out of my exams and put it back it, my phone turned back on but then I had another exam so I took the battery back out, after I put my battery back in aand now it wont turn on, ive tried other batterys and it till dont work. I have also tried charging it and plugging it into the software on my laptop.
I have been using bb9900 for over a month. Like everyone, I am having a problem with the battery of bb9900. 3 day ago, I have up the leak 440 but did not improve the problem of pin. After 6 hours in standby mode my battery from 99% down to 87%. Is that really not normal?
My battery life does not last more that 5 hours regardless of how I use it. It also reboots from time to time. I have this phone for not more than 4 weeks.
I upgraded from my old faithful Bold 9700 to a 9360 and found its battery life to be very poor, I updated the firmware which helped a bit but it was still poor so I then upgraded to the 9900 and it is even worse. I can lose 20-30% of my battery in under an hour with little use. I et a maximum of about 4 hours out with moderate use.
I have a new 9900, and the battery lasts less that 12 hours, even with minimal use. I loaded all the latest updated, only have Wifi turned on, and one weather app., no downloads. Sunday I was a home and only opened it the phone 5-6 times, did not make a single phone call, and received only 5-6 e-mail. It was still drained after 12 hours. This is the 3rd BB I have had in 7 years and the first with this problem, use my last blakc berry over 3000 minutes a month and receive 50+ mails a day, and the battery lasted a day or two no problem.
I have a Bold 9900 which I just bought 3 months ago. It has been fine over the last 2 months however the last month its been giving a lot of problems. While I was using it the screen went black and I tried to restart it (power back on and taking out the battery and sticking it back it) but the red led light would come on and it would not power up. After sticking it on the charger the red light would come on for 1 minute, then the battery sign would show saying that it is charging but after 1 minute, it would show a red X mark on the battery symbol and it would not power on. I have gone through this process 2 times (I have bought 2 JM1 batteries for the device from blackberry) however it still gives the same problem. I sent it to a phone repair shop and they gave it a try. They say that the batteries are fine, but the blackberry is not able to hold in the charge and has a problem with charging it.
My battery suddenly died in my 9900. Would love to talk to a person in customer service the old fashioned way instead of the electronic self diagnosis. Any numbers in the UK answered by humans who don't charge for their time? how do I get a replacement battery?
A couple of days ago I bought the new Blackberry Bold 9900. But I couldn't get the answer of three questions: - How/where can I turn off GPS and WiFi? (I can get to the options of the connections but there isn't an option where I can turn it off) - Is it better for the battery life to use the vibrating notifications or the audible notifications? - How long should my BB be able to function with a fully fulled battery?
I've just had my blackberry 9900 for a week and the battery life is terrible. I have gps (Location), bluetooth, wifi all turned off. I have the brightness at its lowest, and I close all the apps. I even logged off facebook and twitter. What else do I have to do? to save battery.
I have a 9900 bold.I did an updat on software program yesterday.Today my phone blocked with the message error "app error 200".I tried to reinstall the software, to take off and back the battery,
I recently updated to 7.0 bundle 2395 but the battery life seems worsen it droped like 40% in just 3 or 4 hours but it just in the standby mode and I did't use it at all so is there a problem with my battery?
