My battery suddenly died in my 9900. Would love to talk to a person in customer service the old fashioned way instead of the electronic self diagnosis. Any numbers in the UK answered by humans who don't charge for their time? how do I get a replacement battery?
View 3 RepliesI bought my Blackberry a month ago and the battery life was pretty good (3 days). Then the other day I downloaded a few apps (dictionary, flashlight and barcode scanner) and also added a lot of music onto the phone. Now the battery life just goes after a few hours. I've turned off Bluetooth and WiFi. I don't know what is sucking all the life out of my battery. I haven't browsed the internet or talked on the phone. It just sits there doing nothing and the battery goes dead.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy 9900 is only a week old but has started behaving strangely. Sometimes it would stop ringing when a call comes but would show the name of the caller on the screeen. Picking up the call would result in the caller not hearing my voice. Once this happens , it would remain this way till I pull out the battery and restart it again. When in this situation , any outgoing call would also not work.
I've checked and I'm at the latest available update. (7.0.0 bundle 1346)
My Blackberry Bold 9900 had crashed suddenly during a wipe operation, it shows a black screen and keeps in an endless reboots, with the Red LED blinking !I've tried the following steps, but didn't come up with any positive results - Hard reset (over 10 times).- Software upgrade, (via Desktop manager) OS 7.0 and OS 7.1 with:- Battery installed into device, device connected to desktop via USB cable.- Battery removed, device connected directly to desktop via USB cable.- Online software upgrade (from blackberry.com website directly).- BBSAK (didn't see the device).- CMD, to open the Apploader with and without the JVM.- Followed the steps mentioned into article: KB10144And the only feedback and result I've received while performing any of these steps (on desktop) is:(Error: Reconnecting to JVM)And the Blackberry device keeps in an endless reboots and never shows the Blackberry black-loading screen with the white indicator

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy iphone 4 suddenly died last night even though it said it had about 40% power. When I plug it in, it turns back on but will not connect to anything (no internet, and I can't call or text). As soon as I unlpug it, it turns off, and sometimes when it is plugged in it either says it has 0% or 100% charge. After about 60 seconds of being plugged in it turns off and restarts. It won't start up fully when I plug it into my computer, it just shows the Apple symbol before shutting off again. I am thinking this is a hardware issue. Is it possible that the battery is so drained (since it won't hold charge), even when it is plugged in, that it doesn't even have the power to connect to the internet or call or anything? I have had this phone for about 1.5 years.Â
Important note: I had it fixed about 2-3 weeks ago when the whole front piece of the phone was shattered when it was run over by a car, lol. Even in that state, the phone continued to vibrate when recieving calls, and when the front piece and home button were replaced everything was working except for the camera. Maybe some internal damage is just now catching up to the phone?

I have Bold 9000 on O2, but since yesterday I have not been able to turn it on. When powered up via usb and PC or direct from mains, all i het is the red message light showing all the time and nothing else ..but sometimes it goes out and on screen is a picture of a battery with a blue zig zag flash running through it. This is a bit random, but seems to alternate between either redlight or battery outline.
Plugging Bold into PC and running blackberry desktop manager does not do anything - the desktop manager does not recognise that a device has been plugged in (hence does not show PIN).Has the battery suddenly and completely died? (There were no signs of this happening before - no performance issues etc) ... or is it something far more serious?
I am suddenly experiencing vastly reduced battery life on my Bold 9650. It sounded the low battery alert in the middle of the afternoon on Friday and at around 8:30 p.m. today. The phone was off all day Saturday and was plugged into the charger from Friday night until the middle of this afternoon. This makes no sense to me, because I barely used the phone Friday or today, and as recently as last week, it was showing a good charge when I'd plug it in at 11 p.m. after a fair amount of usage through the day. Even on days of heavy usage, I've been making it until bedtime without the low battery alert. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to track this down without buying a new battery?
One difference in the last few days is that I have been home (some kind of human virus) all day, but I live a block from the cell tower, and my wifi signal reaches throughout the house pretty well. I thought that Friday's problem might have been interference from a wifi tablet, but I have scrupulously kept them apart today. Bluetooth is on, but that's normally the case.The battery is relatvely new, bought within the last six months from a vendor on Amazon. It appeared to be identical to the factory-installed battery, which lasted about a year-and-a-half.
Background apps that have been running on both days have been Blackberry Messenger, Facebook, Password Manager, BHive Tasks, Google Maps, Google Search, and Evernote (which says it last synched on Nov. 27th). Nothing unusual.

I can lose 20-30% of my battery in under an hour with little use. I et a maximum of about 4 hours out with moderate use.

One minute it was on and then the next thing I know it is dead. It had approximately 85% on the battery life before it died and I put it on a charger but no luck. I've held down the two buttons for a couple of minutes and nothing happens. Has this happened to anyone else? I still have extended applecare.
