May 27, 2012My iPhone 3G, new in July 2010 has suddenly and completely died without warning. Have tried reset but topally dead. Not dropped or wet.

Jun 25, 2012Why did my iPhone suddenly die? It was fully charged this morning and I had used it several times already today. Hard death. Won't reboot. Won't synch to laptop (the laptop doesn't even know it is attached.) Been using iPhones for years and never had a hard death like this.

Jun 11, 2012Today for some reason my iphn4S completely died and I can not turn it on or even recharge it. It was not flat so I dont know why it died. I can not even start it through iTunes. Any comment on ways to start it or is it stuffed? It is only 6 months old.

Apr 22, 2010Any obscure setting that I may have tripped that would kill these two at the same time all of the sudden? I'm at a loss other than the fact the sucker got wet about 10 days ago. I did the proper wet phone recovery procedure and even had it apart same day to make sure it wasn't moist in there. Worked fine till about an hour ago.

Jun 3, 2014My iphone 4 suddenly died last night even though it said it had about 40% power. When I plug it in, it turns back on but will not connect to anything (no internet, and I can't call or text). As soon as I unlpug it, it turns off, and sometimes when it is plugged in it either says it has 0% or 100% charge. After about 60 seconds of being plugged in it turns off and restarts. It won't start up fully when I plug it into my computer, it just shows the Apple symbol before shutting off again. I am thinking this is a hardware issue. Is it possible that the battery is so drained (since it won't hold charge), even when it is plugged in, that it doesn't even have the power to connect to the internet or call or anything? I have had this phone for about 1.5 years.Â
Important note: I had it fixed about 2-3 weeks ago when the whole front piece of the phone was shattered when it was run over by a car, lol. Even in that state, the phone continued to vibrate when recieving calls, and when the front piece and home button were replaced everything was working except for the camera. Maybe some internal damage is just now catching up to the phone?

Then the other day I downloaded a few apps (dictionary, flashlight and barcode scanner) and also added a lot of music onto the phone. Now the battery life just goes after a few hours. I've turned off Bluetooth and WiFi. I don't know what is sucking all the life out of my battery. I haven't browsed the internet or talked on the phone. It just sits there doing nothing and the battery goes dead.

May 24, 2010I have Bold 9000 on O2, but since yesterday I have not been able to turn it on. When powered up via usb and PC or direct from mains, all i het is the red message light showing all the time and nothing else ..but sometimes it goes out and on screen is a picture of a battery with a blue zig zag flash running through it. This is a bit random, but seems to alternate between either redlight or battery outline.
Plugging Bold into PC and running blackberry desktop manager does not do anything - the desktop manager does not recognise that a device has been plugged in (hence does not show PIN).Has the battery suddenly and completely died? (There were no signs of this happening before - no performance issues etc) ... or is it something far more serious?

Mar 18, 2012Anyone else had the iOS 5.0.1 to iOS 5.1 update bring about that the device entirely dies? The battery life was bad with iOS 5 and a little better with iOS 5.0.1 and that update was troublefree. The promise of improved battery life with iOS 5.1 tempted an upgrade on Friday last, first recharging on the Saturday morning was troublefree and battery life was much better. Tuesday afternoon the charge was down to 30% and the minute the device began recharging, the Home button stopped working, the Restart button stopped working, and there was no charge preview on the screen.

Jun 4, 2012The battery was at approximatley 70% when I answered an incoming call. Two to three minutes into the call the phone shut off and won't turn back on. I've tried holding down the button on top of the phone and the round button button on the face of the phone near the bottom, but cannot get it to turn back on or respond at all. Verizon has no other advice. It appears my contacts are stored in an iCloud, but nothing else.

It would have been okay for me to set all three screens back to their original configuration but unfortunately, I can't edit the main homescreen. I can edit the two additional screens but NOT the main (1st) homescreen. It just says homescreen is full! Last thing I installed was the Xmas theme Rugge from the Nokia store.
