I got a used bold 9700 with a display which doesn`t work anymore. I opened the bold and it looks like that the display had been changed already once. But on the replaced one is no number written on. How is it possible to get the right number? Is there a possbility to trace back by the model number and whom should I contact?

On my old Nokias it was possible to view the contact list with both the name and number of each contact when looking at the contact list i.e. When sending a SMS. Is it possible on the E72 to display the number too? At the moment all I can see is the name. I have had a quick look around the menus and couldn't find it anywhere.

I have changed the phone number from the one supplied to my previous number to avoid having to notify all my cotacts of a new number. When I go into the calls screen (the one brought up when you press the green phone button) On the "My Number" line it is still showing the supplied number not the one I have changed to. I went into the Virgin Media Store today but I was informed that it cannot be altered.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWith recent software upgrade/update, when I start to dial a number it defaults to searching Contacts, which is fine. But the display of numbers I'm dialing is so tiny I didn't see them - had to hand to my son in frustration because I didn't think it was dialing at all. He pointed out the teeny-tiny numbers being displayed below the search field. Is there a way to increase the size of the numbers being dialed? Or change default back to dialing instead of search?

Many of the numbers that I call since switching jobs have extensions. Can they be added to the phone number listing as shown when making a call? Currently, I have been adding the 'notes' field to the contact lists when someone or a particular department needs to be accessed. I find it confusing sometimes and would like it displayed even though it may not dial it. Can it be displayed?

The company has recently presented us with Nokia E71 phones.How do you display your own number on your phone.Not how do you find it but display it on the screen so that it is always there.I have seen ideas like create a new profile and call it your number...or place it in contacts either as first number or own number.It would be nice to have it permanently displayed on the home screen or a one touch key that popped it onto the screen when required.God knows the number of time I've been asked my mobile (and there is a couple of them) and can't remember it.
So you need to fish the phone out unlock and trawl around looking for it.Ideal solution would be pop phone out press one key and number is present.Even if there is a piece of software which will allow this or creation of a screensaver with the number on it would be preferable to fishing around looking for the number.I mean with all the technology available to us in mobile phones today you think there would be a simple option to display own number.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am using a Blackberry, and very simply can show on the homescreen each separate email account, with a red star when at least one email arrives in the mailbox. It also shows at the top how many emails are new, overall. I'm not so concerned about "at a glance" seeing how many, but it's a god-send seeing (without pressing anything) where the emails have gone: work private hotmail. I know on the iPhone you go into Mail, and there you see your list of accounts, or 'All Emails', but that means I have to click Mail to do that. Is there a way (if like me you are email-busy) to see from the homescreen, a square icon for each account, and it show some form of identification that it has new mail it in?
View 4 Replies View Relatedsince I updated the software I have the following issue. when I use maps I select the destination and then switch off the phone's display (lock key) and use spoken directions only. saves massively on batery power. but now after each direction it unlocks the phone (switches the display back on). previous version worked just fine. as a result on longer journeys it has become useless for me.
please let it keep switched off again. or make it optional. or a system option to not let any application unlock the phone.
My iphone 4 screen does ot turns on though the phone is switched On.

Obviously I would need to bring the display back up so I can tap the speakerphone button, but I can't seem to get the display to come back while in the call. If I briefly tap the power button, the call is dropped. Touching the volume or camera button won't bring the display back, so what is one to do? Drop the call and call them back?

So if somebody wants any information from me thats stored on my phone, I cant just read it out from the phone. I ll have to wait till the call ends, search for the info and then call them back! When I listen to livestreaming radio with RealPlayer the screen it is not going back to operational working after the display timeout. You neet to exit RealPlayer and open it again to continue. Firmwareversion 31.0.101. This must be a bug.
