When sending i-messages to other i-phones the receiving i-phone shows the original phone number that was supplied with my phone which is not the number used. Does anyone know how to change this number?

i m using phone 4s (iOS 5.1)i dont know why when some one calls me on FaceTime they revieve a message i m not available for facetime,(at my mobile number)i tested 2 iphones side by side but its same every thing is working i can make call on FaceTime but i cant be recieved at my number a few weeks back it was working fine i dont know what i messed up But i can be recived for FaceTme at my email id(apple)also my Phone number in FaceTime is Greyed i think its verified too... tried all possible things reboot, Network reset,etc imessage is working fine...

Many of the numbers that I call since switching jobs have extensions. Can they be added to the phone number listing as shown when making a call? Currently, I have been adding the 'notes' field to the contact lists when someone or a particular department needs to be accessed. I find it confusing sometimes and would like it displayed even though it may not dial it. Can it be displayed?

I just got a iphone 4s and am having problems with my imessage. I can turn it on using my apple id but my mobile number does not appear anywhere for me to choose it as an option. I keep getting "waiting for activation." The same thing is happening with facetime. I don't have the option to choose a mobile number.

I am using a Blackberry, and very simply can show on the homescreen each separate email account, with a red star when at least one email arrives in the mailbox. It also shows at the top how many emails are new, overall. I'm not so concerned about "at a glance" seeing how many, but it's a god-send seeing (without pressing anything) where the emails have gone: work private hotmail. I know on the iPhone you go into Mail, and there you see your list of accounts, or 'All Emails', but that means I have to click Mail to do that. Is there a way (if like me you are email-busy) to see from the homescreen, a square icon for each account, and it show some form of identification that it has new mail it in?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI noticed that in ios8 that threads stay in chronological order even if the most recent message in that thread is deleted. In previous versions if I deleted a recent message and not the entire thread, that persons thread would drop in the order to the last undeleted text. But in ios8 if I delete a recent message the persons thread stays at the top of the screen even though their most recent undeleted message might be months old. It's not a huge deal but it's confusing as I like to see undeleted texts in the chronological order that they were received. I'm currently using an iPhone 6 running ios 8.1.1 but it started displaying this new order with ios 8.

I have changed the phone number from the one supplied to my previous number to avoid having to notify all my cotacts of a new number. But the display of numbers I'm dialing is so tiny I didn't see them - had to hand to my son in frustration because I didn't think it was dialing at all. He pointed out the teeny-tiny numbers being displayed below the search field. Is there a way to increase the size of the numbers being dialed? Or change default back to dialing instead of search?
