I have a Sprint 9650 BB Bold that I am now using on Tmobile. I cannot access the internet unless I use Wi-Fi. Yes, I have a data plan and have tried with Tmobile tech support to figure out this problem. On their end everything is fine, therefore must be a setting on this phone.
I recently deactivated my Blackberry Bold 9000 (v4.6.0.304 operating system) from AT&T since I ported my cell phone number to US Cellular who had better coverage in my region. I'd like to continue using my Blackberry Bold 9000 as a free wi-fi only internet access device and install the Google Voice app so my kids could text message and make phone calls via the Google Voice app and phone's wi-fi connection. While my BB Bold is able to connect to our home wi-fi network like in the past it doesn't successfully connect to the internet and gives me the following message: "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later."
I imported B Berry Bold 9650 from America and everything worked well with the local network provider for more than a year. On July 25 th my internet connection stopped working. My network provider says they did a network upgrade and all foreign phones are now unable to connect to the internet. They say their is nothing that they can do for me. Just before my ph was disconnected I tried to download the Blackberry App World Version 3.1.4.25 Could this have caused the problem?
I have a Blackberry Bold 9780, and I can not connect to the internet through WiFi. I am trying to access the internet through a WAP2 secure router. I have entered the correct password, and per review of the router log, it has assigned an IP address to my phone. However, when I try to verify the IP address on my phone, the IP address is 0.00.0.0.
When I try to access teh interenet on my phone, the error message i get is that my phone is unable to connect to the interent.Since I am traveling from home, I have truned off the data service on my phone,, but I should still be able to access the internet through the WiFi service.
It seems I can't get into app world via only wifi. I tried turned off the mobile network, because I don't have a data plan. I can browse any website when I just use wifi, but I can't get into app world.
was down to our Sask Tel rep in Nipawin and told them i cannot set up my internet email...they told me Nipawin Sask is experiencing problems with the Blackberry only around the Nipawin area.
how i can use internet that requires proxy with bold 9700 tip: in my university i can't enter the internet by wirless (with my phone, just with laptop)
I switched my blackberry pearl for a bold 9700 I am with fido pay as you go I have the data plan and I can't access the internet. With my bold 9700 I called fido and they told me I had to call blackberry.
I have been having issues for the last month or so with my 9700. When I get home none of my internet heavy apps or the browser work. Its not every day. Just intermittently. After multiple calls to T-Mo and verification that there were NO issues in my area (a full 3G area) they finally sent me a replacement 9700. I've had it a week and no problems...until today. Same issue. If I put my phone on 2G it seems to work ok if its on 3G/2G it won't connect to the internet at all.Anyone out there know why this could be happening? I had me first 9700 since November with zero internet connectivity issues.
I sold my at&t bold 9700 and bought a t-mobile version, unlocked it and am using it on at&t and I don't have to pay the ridiculous price of 30 per month for internet service on my phone. really I only need the phone for texting, phone calls listening to music and taking some pictures anywayz. Till phone carriers lower their prices. I will never pay 30 a month for smart phone internet again.
I've recently upgraded my phone to the Blackberry 9700 (my first BB so I'm completely clueless) and received it yesterday.I also changed my plan to allow internet access.
I registered my phone and was told to turn it off for 2 hours so they can update the sim and everything, which I did. I then turned it on and I can make calls, send texts and all of that, but when I try to access the internet it says 'This is a Wi-Fi service. Please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again'? I'm taking a guess here, but I think this may be because they haven't updated my plan yet?
Also, I went on the browser whilst connected to Wi-Fi, tried to download the app world and it said something along the lines of 'Sorry your device does not meet the system requirements require'. What's going on?
Anyone know why I can't go on FaceBook or on the internet at all when the wi-fi is on? It connects to my home wi-fi connection but I can't go on the net.It tells me i need the data plan.I thought wi-fi would give me internet on my phone.
Using my desktop PC, I found an interesting application on URL... and I would like to get it working on my BB Bold 9000. I have never downloaded an app. I'm pritty new here. How do I get an app installed on my BB? Any reference to info on the web is also welcome.
i have a bold 9900 and it seems nearly every bbm stops working. i can still use it through WIFI but it says not connected when not connected to WIFI. i can not get on facebook at all even with WIFI. usually when this happens it starts working again but its been down for over 24hrs now.
My battery seems to drain after i try to seach from something on the internet. I can have a full battery and in the middle of a search it will shut off and restart. when it turns back on i have no battery and the radio is off. i dont know if i should just try a new battery or a setting problem.
When connecting to the internet I click on the second last icon on the main Bold screen (Telstra icon). After approximately 20 seconds, the blue "loading" bar at the bottom of the screen reaches 100% but remains sitting at "loading" with a blank white screen. There is no error message, and remains in this mode until I press the end / hang up key to return to the main screen.
This is my first post. I write to you after several weeks of frustration with my phone as well as a million calls with Rogers customer support.
My problem :
1)I cannot browse the internet using the internet browser both on wifi or Roger's data network
2)Facebook app cannot establish a connection to the server
3)When I use the Browser app it will work for like 10 minutes but then all of sudden the internet just stops working.
I believe all of the three observations listed above have the same root cause. What is odd is that BBM works, my email works, BB app world works, I can even browse with the web2go browser - just not the three items I have described above.I really don't want to restore my phone because i have paid apps and i don't want to pay for my apps again.
My failed troubleshooting attempts so far :
1) Removed battery and sim card + reboot. Done it 1,000,000 times - no success 2) Resend service books - no success
I have a Bold 9900, v7.0.0.585 and on Sunday I lost connection to the Blackberry Internet Service and Enterprise Server. The status showing is "Not Connected". I have tried removing the battery several times and have also tried the SIM card in my old Blackberry phone but get the same issue. I did a radio activation test and got
Had Horrendous Pop3 problems with BTInternet so set up Forwarding of emails to other addresses hosted by Just Host. All seemed well until I tried to email my wife (BT FWD'd address) from my Blackberry 9900 - it kept bouncing. If I email the address the Forwarding is going to at Just Host or email from my laptop no problems. Just Host looked at the failure message and suggested contacting Blackberry and BT. But HTF do I contact support at Blackberry? This is the most recent failure message with some deletions.

I'm having problems with my internet, its either I get error messages when I want to visit a website, or when I want to download, on the downloads message, it never fully downloads and I keep getting error messages. It worked well before now all of a sudden it isn't.
I cannot set up internet email accounts on my new blackberry bold 9780 . I visited the blackberry website and found the instructions on how to set up. Per instructions I should select - Set up - Email accounts - and then Internet accounts, but unfortunately when I select Email accounts it only shows me Enterprise Email account set up not Internet emails account set up , per instructions it should show me both options
I know this might sound weird, but... I realize that I am addicted to the internet and spend too much time on it, and want to purposefully restrict myself by NOT being able to access the internet at all on my Blackberry Bold 9700.I don't have a data plan, but I log onto my landlord's WiFi using the password he gave me. Therefore, I have internet access through WiFi, but I would like to either get rid of that ability altogether, or find a way to password-protect the browsers (the regular browser and Opera).
I've had the Bold BB 9900 for a year now and everything has worked great. It has now not been connecting to the internet for the past day and I don't know what has happened.
It is showing GPRS so it should be connecting.
I've clicked 'register now' for the host routing and it got back saying bb has been registered with wireless network. I've tried taking the battery out which hasn't worked either.
i have a wifi in my home and the mobie connected with it but i can;t access the internet, when i open the brawsing these message appear unable to connect to the internet please try again later.
Neither Verizon nor Numericable, my provider in France, seem to be able to offer any tech support beyond telling me to pull the battery, toggle connections on and off, etc. I am not a techie by any stretch of the imagination, so I probably won't understand any jargon or acronyms you use in your replies, and will similarly need more detailed instructions on how to access things within my device (e.g., "just go to the host routing table!" won't mean anything to me).
1. I have a Verizon branded Bold 9650. I have unlocked it so that it is able to make/receive phone calls and texts by having Verizon provide me with the MEP code.
2. I have an unlimited data and Blackberry internet plan with Numericable, who contracts their 3G service through Bouygues. I am 100% sure of my plan, but whenever I try to open my browser, it tells me that "Browsing over the cellular network is not included as part of your current service plan. To browse the web you must use Wifi or contact your service provider to change your service plan".
3. I plan to crosspost this on the Blackberry France forums and the Crackberry forums. I hope this isn't bad manners, but I just want to get this resolved as soon as possible.
4. I have browsed other solutions but a lot of them seem to require a Windows computer to connect the Blackberry to. I unfortunately only have a Mac.
5. I've been waiting for over a week for something to change - Numericable at first told me that 'it takes 5 days to register on the network' and then to await a call from tech support that never came.
6. I would ideally like to be able to use this phone whenever I go back to the States in 7 months, so I don't want to mod it in an way that makes it permanently unusable on the Verizon network.
