Ive had quite a few blackberry's and get on really well with it. I would like to turn off my voicemail as it costs me every time i want to listen to one. I would rather not have the feature. I cant find where to do this?
View 5 RepliesI threw caution to the wind and took Sprint's Android Update since most of the problems I read about didn't seem too important to me except for over heating and battery life. Since I have had good luck with updates in the past, I did the update and it went very smoothly. Further, I think my G3 run smoother now. No overheating. If battery life is lower, it's barely detectible.Sure, I'm having to adjust to a few minor changes, but I think everything clicks along nicely.My only complain it the Stripes Voicemail I can't seem to turn off. how to keep that turkey from loading all the time?

I have tried everything I can think of to no avail. I have tried going to settings and it doesn't seem to work. It is difficult to remember to check for messages when you have no idea a person has even left one.

We have worked for hours trying to reset it to regular voice mail and haven't figured out how to do it. Especially if there is a way to do it without resetting everything or restoring the phone to factory settings, that would be great. (I have already spent the day re-setting/restoring another phone that lost the use of music after updating to 5.1).

All of a sudden (just today) my torch started playing a ringtone whenever I get a voicemail message. For whatever reason I cannot turn it off! It even does it in "vibrate" mode. It does not go into a deleted folder, it is just gone. I started paying attention to the dates of the messages, wondering if it automatically deleted a message after 30 days. On the Curve they showed up in the SMS/MMS app and, more importantly, sounded a notification when a message was received. On the Bold there is no notification, only the number on the main screen incrementing by one.I get SMS messages on the Bold with the number (unchanged), but nothing for vm's. I used visual voicemail early on with no issue, but ever since I updated software to version 6.0, my voicemail in general has all but stopped working.
Ever since I downloaded software version 6.0 I have had this problem: I receive notification when people call, but I never receive their voicemail unless I periodically remove and replace my battery to reboot my phone. Upon rebooting, I will receive all voicemails that have been left for me since the last time I rebooted. I have called TMobile several times, but they just keep telling me that the settings are all good I have tried going into the stores for advice, but they don't have any answers either.
