Just got my new BB Bold 9900. When I try and close the web browser, it doesn't seem to close completely.I press in the BB button (next to call on the keypad), scroll down and hit close. However when I hold in this BB button to see open apps, the browser icon is still there.Is this normal? Does the browser app always have to run in the background?
View 1 RepliesI have had my 9900 for a couple months now and just a couple of days ago it started freezing up, I had to remove the battery every time it would freeze. So one day it froze took out the battery put it back in and never turned on. No lights nothing I even tired a new battery completely dead. So I was told my motherboard could be gone and said to return it to rim because of the one year warranty.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI don't know why, but I just can't clear the Event Log completely. I am always left with two logs that can't be cleared. The two logs says, Error and Severe Error. It's hasn't affect the phone, but it's pretty disturbing with two logs unable to clear. I had tried Battery Pull, resets and it still can't be deleted. My Phone is the Bold 9900. Carrier is Singtel. OS vers 7.1.0.
View 4 Replies View RelatedYesterday, my Bold 9900 battery was completely drained so I put it on charge overnight. The LED light was flashing yellow. Now I can't get the phone to turn on at all. This has happened before but after removing the battery and putting it back in the phone turned on. I've tried pulling the battery today but nothing happens, just the LED light flashing red for a few seconds then going back off
View 4 Replies View RelatedMainly happens while on facebook mobile, and will occure while typing completely randomly. The reply from support is simply update software, I can't see why I have to do all this, as apart from anything else I don't currently have a phone line for internet due to illegal BT sales activity! It is also suggested that I send phone off in a jiffy bag to be repaired if unsuccessful, and what do I do for a phone in the mean time?? Not only that they suggest that it will cost me if it is not a fault they cover.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi just switched from using android for 2 years and i'm ready to throw this thing in the effing trash after a day...when i first open a browser, the links work fine..maybe the first link or so...then they just stop working...when i click on a link it does nothing..i have to hold it until the menu pops up that says "open link" to get it to open...i googled this and lots of other people reported this problem and the only solutions seem to be remove the battery or reset device.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMost applications don't seem to have an exit option and the only way I know to close them is the via the "Back" button at bottom right.
In the native Web Browser this button doesn't close the browser but just goes back to the last web page; and then the next last, etc until it runs out of previous pages and then closes.
It's an awful way of closing the browser, going back though all previous pages; and often there are warnings that you may be re-posting data again.
If I press the left menu button I can get to "Windows" and if there are more than one there is a "minus" sign top right allowing it to be closed. But when there is only one window there is no minus sign.
So if I've been doing some interaction with my bank and want to close the single main window I have to select "Menu", "Windows", create a "New window", select the new window, go back to the "Menu" choose "Windows" again, find the minus sign on the original window press to close it, then go back to the new window and press "Back" to close that one.

If I just exit the app by pressing the Home button it means that the next time I tap the Internet button it takes me immediately to the last page I was viewing. Surely that's wrong and there must be some way of closing the browser properly.

I went into the blackberry setup icon as they suggested and clicked on email settings.However rather than a list of email addresses I got asked for a my user name and password. Every time I choose the Documents to Go icon, I get a blank frozen PDF to go screen. If I click a PDF file, I get an error screen that says I have to close a dialog box that is still open. This is the Documents to Go that came with the 9930.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to school, I put the sound on "OFF." I move sometimes and I accidentally press the volume button, and sometimes it plays music from my music player on my BB Bold. I'm scared the volume will go too high and the teacher will hear, she/he'll take my phone, of course. Is there anyway to fix this? I do put my music volume all the way down before I get to class, but sometimes it just goes back up a little bit by random button pressing. I do lock my phone, also, but I never turn it off, and I don't want to. So, is there any other way to keep me safe in classes?
View 14 Replies View RelatedMy second BB bold 9930 is frozen. It stops on either the 1 - Verizon startup screen OR 2-BB home screen, depending on what happens after rebooting. Completely unreponsive to all buttons except reboot when on BB home screen.
I have done the following: soft reboot, multiple soft reboots, hard (battery) reboot. AND...Because the phone is completely stuck, my BB desktop software manager can NOT read/connect to phone...."connecting to phone".. If NOT, can I somehow retrieve the information located on 'my device'...as opposed to stuff stored on media card?
Suddenly, today, while checking email, the screen on the device when completely white (there was absolutely nothing on ther screen - I've read that the WSOD often has a symbol or something on the screen, this was strictly white)So, I pulled the battery from the device for a couple of minutes. Upon replacing the battery into the phone, the LED lights up for a couple of minutes and then the screen proceeds with the typical reboot screen... the "blackberry" with the loading bar. Once the bar is full and loaded, the screen goes black and the LED turns off. From here, the device is completely unresponsive.

I just got this 9700 and it doesn't even warn me the battery is low, it actually has a bar or two in the battery icon and it just completely dies, so I have to plug it in to the USB and wait 5 minutes for it to start up, THEN it says it has a low battery. The phone has a generic wall charger.
