I'm just curious to know what everyone is comfortable with when it comes to brightness and how does it effect your battery life.
mines is.
Brightness 100%
No auto dim (off)
10 second screen shut off.
And my phone last most of the day. I just like my phone bright its a beautiful screen so why not.
I have my backlight brightness set to 10 and i've noticed (maybe its just me) but 10 and 80 look the same. at 10 the screen is still bright.

I'm trying to lower the brightness to save battery and also save my eyesight when using in a dark room. But the ATRIX2 seems VERY limited in its ability to dim the backlighting of the display. Any firmware updates to fix this on the horizon??
recently i damaged my Xperia screen and bought a replacement from online, the replacement i received worked for a whole 2 days before it started registering multiple fingers in which i sent it off to get another replacement!

now i have another screen and for some reason the brightness is stuck on the lowest setting no matter what it says in the settings (i can have it on the highest in the settings and still nothing!).
is there any option available to change the LCD brightness or contrast setting in Nokia X2-01?

View 5 Replies View RelatedIf I have auto brightness enabled, I dock my phone, it goes into bedside mode, I pull it off the dock and auto-brightness no longer works. I need to tap the auto brightness icon on the power control widget for auto brightness to work again. The power control widget will say auto brightness is enabled the whole time, but it does not work until I tap it once after I pull my DROID3 off the dock.

I notice this with my Lumia Icon, but not with other Lumia Windows phones. I just want to be sure that this is normal, as I'm still within the return window with VZW. View 9 Replies View RelatedWhenever I open up visual voicemail to listen to a message, when it starts to play it at the lowest volume setting, I have to keep clicking the volume button up while the message is playing to get it back up. Very annoying. Also, I have a Jawbone Prime and whenever I connect it to the phone and make a phone call, it always defaults to the lowest volume and I have to do the same thing. Is this some type of bug? I can't figure out how to change the default volume for those, I have volume settings for the phone set to remember the last setting, but it always defaults to the lowest volume when I first connect it.. View 3 Replies View RelatedI got a new BB 9700 Bold yesterday and having problems with setting up the sync for the calendar and the contacts which are on my outlook. My hotmail email accounts are working okay. The outlook is on my PC and is the front face for my hotmail accounts.
When I go in to the BB Desktop device manager - version 5.0.1 (latest version) , I go in to the configure option on the left and it lets me click on calendar> then I select outlook and it then lets me select 'finish'. However at this stage an error box flashes up saying 'no available message stores'.
In addition when I check the wifi config on the calendar and contacts icons on the BB device it will not let me select yes on the wireless connection for them.
With my old Xperia Z1c, when adaptive brightness is on and the environment light is darkest, the screen brightness may be adjusted to, let's say, 0. Even you drag the brightness control bar to leftmost, the dimmest brightness you can get is still 0. But in Xperia Z5, you can go dimmer than that with the control bar, and this dim cannot be achieved using the same control bar if you disable the adaptive brightness. If one component cannot do something in manual mode, should not be able to do that thing in automatic mode either. So I believe that this is a bug.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Outlook 2007 on my desktop computer and use BT as a service provider and for my email, my Blackberry supplier is Vodafone and I use BIS.I have noticed that if my Blackberry receives an email first I don't get the same email delivered to my desktop. If my desktop gets an email first then the same email will be delivered to my Blackberry. I was happily deleting emails from my Blackberry thinking I would have them all on my desktop but I now find I have to check what emails I have on each before I delete anything. Is this an issue that anyone has come acrosss before and how do I resolve it apart from synching the Blackberry and desktop?I'm often away from the desktop which is why I bought the Blackberry in the first place.
