View 13 RepliesI have my backlight brightness set to 10 and i've noticed (maybe its just me) but 10 and 80 look the same. at 10 the screen is still bright.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm just curious to know what everyone is comfortable with when it comes to brightness and how does it effect your battery life.
mines is.
Brightness 100%
No auto dim (off)
10 second screen shut off.
And my phone last most of the day. I just like my phone bright its a beautiful screen so why not.
Does anyone know if there's an easy means to reduce the brightness of the indicator LED on the 9700? Similar to the way it is a bit dimmer when the phone boots up initially. I've got the Color I'd app installed (free version), but it appears only to alter the color - but not the brightness of the LED.

View 14 Replies View Relatedi have my bold for about 3-4 days now and for some reason it keeps restarting on me, and its at the most random times, when i load google maps, stream a Internet video, or pandora, it even did it just now when i plugged it into the charger. my carrier is t-mobile and im using the default os, ive considered upgrading it, and if i need to return it i can just down grade right? or should i just take it back and exchange it for another? it also has a slightly creaky trackpad but it doesnt bother me at all, so i wouldnt mind taking back, just worried about getting an even more fucked up one.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi love my bold to death but one thing is starting to annoy me. my bold keeps on resetting itself like 2-3 times a day. is this normal. ive had the phone since november and now it just starts resetting frequently. should i bring it back?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Bold 9700, and this problem only just began today. After updating the Blackberry App World software and rebooting the device, the red light began flashing as soon as the phone turned back on even though there were no new notifications, and no updates required. I tried switching a few things on and off, but it had no affect. So I performed a battery pull and it solved the problem...until I received an email on my device, and the light would not turn off after I read the email.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9700 upgraded to OS 6 about 1 year ago, in the last 2 - 3 months my phone seems to freeze constantly and the only way to stop it is to pull the battery. Another issue I'm having is that I get an "application memory low" message about twice to three times a day asking me to delete applications, I am now down to two applications on my phone....a banking app and a music app....and I'm still getting the message.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy phone is about 2 months old. My service is through ATT in the US, but I use the phone abroad - currently in Sydney, Australia.Sometime early this morning [still asleep as alarm didn't go off], the phone began rebooting. When it reboots, it fails half way through and starts again. This has been going on for over 10 hours. I have not had time to load any new application onto it, it is in the same state it came. I just receive and send email and text.I have spoken to ATT and the only thing they recommend is a new phone. However, they wont send it to me outside the US, they say it isn't possible [even if I pay for shipping]. I guess they never heard of FedEx or DHL. So much for their international service. I have to coordinate shipping through my office in the US. This is going take me more time than I think I can live without the phone.
I've tried a battery that I know works and the problem persisted. I would like to wipe the phone clean, but since I don't ever get to the main screen, I cant do it using an application. Is there any way to wipe it clean using a combination of keys? I cant do it from my PC either as it doesnt recognize the phone since it is always rebooting.
I'm running stock 5.1.1, and even though my auto brightness is off my phone occasionally dims my display when it's on full brightness. It's not running particularly hot (37 degrees C according to my battery widget) so I don't know what's causing it to dim.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy S6 keeps randomly changing brightness even though auto brightness is off. And so I found this option via search within settings, which may very well be exactly what I was looking for but couldn't seem find it in the settings menu in developer option(which has already been enabled).....
View 3 Replies View RelatedI got a new BB 9700 Bold yesterday and having problems with setting up the sync for the calendar and the contacts which are on my outlook. My hotmail email accounts are working okay. The outlook is on my PC and is the front face for my hotmail accounts.
When I go in to the BB Desktop device manager - version 5.0.1 (latest version) , I go in to the configure option on the left and it lets me click on calendar> then I select outlook and it then lets me select 'finish'. However at this stage an error box flashes up saying 'no available message stores'.
In addition when I check the wifi config on the calendar and contacts icons on the BB device it will not let me select yes on the wireless connection for them.
Is there any fix for the poor battery life of Bold 9900?
I am not on 3G, but battery is constantly going down after mid day with normal use
With my old Xperia Z1c, when adaptive brightness is on and the environment light is darkest, the screen brightness may be adjusted to, let's say, 0. Even you drag the brightness control bar to leftmost, the dimmest brightness you can get is still 0. But in Xperia Z5, you can go dimmer than that with the control bar, and this dim cannot be achieved using the same control bar if you disable the adaptive brightness. If one component cannot do something in manual mode, should not be able to do that thing in automatic mode either. So I believe that this is a bug.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Outlook 2007 on my desktop computer and use BT as a service provider and for my email, my Blackberry supplier is Vodafone and I use BIS.I have noticed that if my Blackberry receives an email first I don't get the same email delivered to my desktop. If my desktop gets an email first then the same email will be delivered to my Blackberry. I was happily deleting emails from my Blackberry thinking I would have them all on my desktop but I now find I have to check what emails I have on each before I delete anything. Is this an issue that anyone has come acrosss before and how do I resolve it apart from synching the Blackberry and desktop?I'm often away from the desktop which is why I bought the Blackberry in the first place.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy 9780 is constantly freezing. A battery pull is all I can do to unfreeze the device, but it freezes again fairly quickly. If I turn the phone on, and check messages, and social feeds the phone usually works normally until I stop.Once I put the phone down, or put it into my pocket it freezes. The only instance where this problem does not occur, is when I have the phone tethered to my computer.I can have the phone on while charging through the wall outlet, and it freezes, but it never happens when I am tethered to my computer.

The red Led light is flickering constantly and I can't turn on the BB anymore Also a soft reset does not work. Nothing works anymore basically.
View 5 Replies View RelatedEver since upgrading to the latest software 7.1.0 Bundle 1149, my Bold 9900 is consonantly rebooting. Usually after a phone call, it decides to reboot. So annoying. Its also extremely slow and the battery life is awful. Its only about 6 months old and constant problems.

Keep getting a white screen when I leave the phone for a bit, to get rid of it i can hit the lock/unlock button, somedays that doesnt work i have to pop the battery out. It started off with this problem happening once a week, about ten times a day. I take really good care of my phone, always keep it in a case. No water damage or anything.
I live in Germany, I often roam especially into Austria - crossing the border no issue, phone switches to an Austrian network. 10 days ago I got a replacemnent phone, flew to the US, and the phone started on landing, and constantly reset - no comms possible, apart from a few minutes after 1 day - then that was it until I arrived back in Germany IT WORKED PERFECTLY WHEN I GOT BACK TO GERMANY- I swopped the phone at the weekend, for a brand new one, as I neede to fly to Jordan today, I arrived, same situation as when I arrived in the US - constantly rebooting - after it let me put in the pin and password on landing. I read thru the forUms, and took out the sim and memory card - same reboot (battery was gone in about 1 hour, from full to nothing due to this reboot process I guess).
View 9 Replies View RelatedLast night I had left my BB on my table, didn't touch it till I went to set my alarm, when I noticed the flash constantly going on and off. So I went to stop it by just pressing the red handset button but it still wouldn't stop flashing. I was pressing every button on the BB so after 5 minutes or so I just took the back off and the battery out waited another few moments then put it back together.
The flashing had stopped but the red light was on which seemed like forever. Then it came up with a screen with a long bar and it was loading up. Then I had to confirm the date and time, all was ok. But my screen saver pic wasn't there just the standard BB one. I went to change it back and that is when I saw that all my photos and pics had gone!! I was so upset as I had some holiday pics on there.
