Jun 28, 2010I have a blackberry bold 9700 and its been fine for a month or so, all of a sudden after it has been working fine in the morning it stopped calling and sending texts, i cant receive anything either.
BBM works fine, internet works fine and email its just the calls and texts in and out????
I have restored the phone and done all necessary updates but it still doesn't work, the SIM card is fine as ive put it in another phone and it does everything it should.

Oct 25, 2010Am using BB 9700 and am having problem with my BBM status message is not changing since over a month now, I have read in some forums tha I need to make my BBM contacts less than a 100 to make it change and I don't like this solution since I don't want to delete my friends any one can help.By the way if I add new contact he will see the current status message but for the old contact they will keep seeing the old.i have a dozens of friends having the same problem please RIM we need a propper solution.

Sep 2, 2010I recently picked up a bold 9700 and signed up for a data plan in hopes of trying to use the bbm. but for some weird reason, bbm cannot work. when i tried to add a friend, status says pending for authorisation. is there a way for me to make use of bbm on this lost and found smartphone since i have already signed up for a data plan? like maybe reboot the entire os or change for a new pin?

This just started happening last week? I need to be able to respond and write emails to my boss and co-workers on a daily basis, especially when I am traveling.
BB Storm2 9550/9520 :: Status Light Flicker When Calling
Jan 17, 2010Does anyone else see the status light flicker when you are making calls?I am not talking about a normal red on/off but a very faint red, fast flicker.I didn't notice until I made a call in the dark and saw the flicker. It does it while the phone dials and even when in use.I would appreciate it if someone else could check their to see if it does the same. I am worried this will seriously drain the battery.

Jan 6, 2010I just got the bold 9700 ver. 2 from ATT and don't have the phone icon. It is not hidden, I looked, and not in any other folder. All I have is a phone icon that is for Visual Voice Mail, which I am not signed up for and don't want to be. When I click the VVM icon it says do you want to sign up and I hit No and it just kicks me back to the main screen. How can I get rid of the Visual VM icon and get the Call log icon?

Jul 25, 2010When I get a new SMS, it is the same as a new e-mail icon. However, this is not supposed to be so... SMS's are supposed to be a slanted envelop. I never had this problem with my old curve 8320. I've also had this icon issue since I got my phone several months ago. The icons remain the same no matter which OS version I use. I am on T-mobile.

Jan 29, 2010I have a Bold 9700, AT&T, v5.0.0.602 (Platform 5.1.0.112)I will look on my phone and there will be the envelope icon telling me I have 3 messages (as an example). The message folder concurs, it tells me that I have 3 messages. Yet when I open the Messages folder there are NO MESSAGES. I check my 3 email folders and NO MESSAGES. These envelopes won't go away. I took the phone to the nearby store where I purchased it. The kind gentleman took out the battery and replaced it. That took care of the problem for one day, then the icon reappeared. I took it back and the lady told me it was a "phone issue" and that under warranty I should get a new phone. So I did. A day and a half later, more envelope icons. I'm not taking it back again.

Jun 25, 2010I got a problem with my bb9700 on SMS. When I powered on my bb, it showed like"uncaught exception：string index out of range:0". And the sms & mms icon disappeared. In message-box, I couldn't see any sms here,but only emails and mms. It will show a list about short messages when i press(alt+s), but any message can't be open, just a list. I have tried v6.0.0.593/680/743, but it doesn't be fixed. I can only wipe the phone , but several days later,It will repeat. no BIS/BES with my phone.

May 1, 2011I have a bold 9700 with the red x through battery problem. It's not the battery I've tired 3 different batteries, all which were original. It always comes up with the same problem. The LED will turn red when I charge it, then the empty battery with an X through it will be displayed.
I've tried connecting it to Desktop Manager, and it gets recognized just fine, just won't charge at all.

Feb 3, 2010my BBM icon is missing i cannot find it any where, when i go to options and applications it shows me that it is installed.i tried uninstalling it and installing it back did not work, rebooting by taking the battery out did not work.
