I have a Bold 9700 on Orange network and Netgear WNR834B router. I'd like to get UMA working but haven't the first idea on how to configure the phone and/or the router.I have connected to Wi-Fi OK. However my 9700 Wi-Fi diagnostics for UMA report "ISP or wireless network error".
View 5 RepliesI've had my BB 9700 for just over a month now, without having any issues whatsoever with the handset, and recently my 9700 refuses to connect to my wireless network at home, it finds the network, acquires an IP address, and connection speed even displays the signal strength, but looking at the Wi-Fi diagnostics on the BB there seems to be a problem with the Infrastructure, it attempts to connect and continuously fails.
I have tried restarting the BB, and the router, this doesn't seem to solve the problem though.
Has anyone else had or heard of this issue before? And are there any solutions?
I am on T-Mobile and the BB is not unlocked or anything of that nature.
I'm using BB Bold 9700 Version 5.0.0.593. Why is it when I put my BB in holster, my network will always get disconnected after a while? Sometime when I using half way will get disconnected. Do I need to do any setting to keep it connected.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi have a data plan and i'm able to browse to just about any website and use it. but watching a video on Internet doesn't work.i can go to Internet, see the video thumbnails, but when i wanna play one i always get this message "wireless network connection has been disconnected. please try again."
note that watching Internet videos works fine when i am on my home wifi router. the problem is when i am out using the 3g.btw my apn settings are correct: telus.bb.com.the odd thing is that it worked a couple weeks ago. so what's the deal?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have seen people having several problems with sync'ing. My problem is probably a variation of the basic underlying problem.I got my Motoactv a couple of days ago. I did a workout, and then tried to sync it wirelessly. I tried several times, but each time it gave me a network error. So then I connected the device to the computer via USB and the sync was successful.The next day, I did a couple of workouts. This time both the wireless and USB syncs failed numerous times. After reading several other posts, I did a factory reset.I then did a workout, and tried the wireless sync, and that failed. I didn't try the USB sync at that time. I went to bed, and when I got up this morning, Motoacdtv said that the sync was successful. So sometime during the night, the wireless sync occurred. I then did another workout today, and then did a USB sync which was successful. Another workout, and then the wireless sync (without intervention) worked.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI got a new BB 9700 Bold yesterday and having problems with setting up the sync for the calendar and the contacts which are on my outlook. My hotmail email accounts are working okay. The outlook is on my PC and is the front face for my hotmail accounts.
When I go in to the BB Desktop device manager - version 5.0.1 (latest version) , I go in to the configure option on the left and it lets me click on calendar> then I select outlook and it then lets me select 'finish'. However at this stage an error box flashes up saying 'no available message stores'.
In addition when I check the wifi config on the calendar and contacts icons on the BB device it will not let me select yes on the wireless connection for them.
I really hate to do this but I have looked around for way too long trying to find the answer to this. If you can point me in the right direction I would be grateful. I just switched today from the iPhone to the 9700 Bold and I can't figure out how to configure my Gmail to come through.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am not able to configure email using my bold 9700 handset. I have activated the data plan with Airtel provider (India) and the "edge" icon is displayed in lowercase on the main screen and when the same SIM is used in other blackberry handset, it works.
So the issue is with the handset and on boot it shows AT&T. Thereby i guess its unlocked phone, but unfortunately the seller is not taking it back and charged me original price which i got through internet shopping site [URL]

When ever I get a text message it just shows the phone number not the name, however when I connect to my home wi-fi, the name populate the text messages but when I dissconnect from the WI-FI the names go away and the phone numbers appear...I must have done something stupid when I was setting up my contacts and or WI-FI

I have had my BB Bold for one week. The battery fully ran out and now after recharging it keeps crashing. When it comes back on line it asks to be reconnected to the Wireless network but then crashes straight away. I've tried factory restore and software update but it hasn't helped.

However since it has a cap on data per month I want it to be secondary to several other unlimited WiFi networks such as my office WiFi, home WiFi, free WiFi hotspots, etc. Is there any work around to make the MiFi wireless (or any permanent wireless network) 2nd to all other recognized networks? This is the ideal set-up for my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 WiFi. I don't want to have to turn the MiFi on and off constantly, I want it on in the background as a seamless secondary option. I appreciate any insight and find it odd that you cannot prioritize networks. Meaning if I "forgot this network" and start over will the 1st joined or most recent joined become primary when there are multiple networks available?

I am using a Netgear DG934GT Router, running Firmware 1.03.23, all my other wireless devices (laptop, iPod Touch and PS3) connect fine to the wireless network, I have tried restarting the BlackBerry, and the router, this doesn't seem to solve the problem, I've also removed and re-added the wireless network to my BlackBerry, this has not solved my problem either. I am on T-Mobile and the BB is not unlocked or anything of that nature.
What is the easiest way to tether my berry to my laptop? I am a small business owner, and I often do work late at night in my truck, with no access to WiFi. I remember a long time ago seeing a thread on it, but I recall it being slightly complicated/using commant prompt.

I called TMO several times and they have issued several work tickets, all coming back saying there was a problem with the towers but has been resolved. I am still experiencing the same problem.
I was informed that I could get a wireless router for my home so I would get great signal. i would just have to hook it up to my computer and then whenever I am home, my phone will go through that for signal, hence giving me 5 bars as opposed to the 1 bar and constant switching between 3g, edge and gprs.
I guess I really don't understand how that works, what kind of router to by and if I will be charged anything extra from TMO for using that.

I started out with the problem that I cannot use internet or receive text/bbm/emails on my phone. I called Bell's tech support, and they had me download the new OS (which I had) and if that didn't work, use the security wipe.So, I did that.Now that my bold 9700 has been reset to the factory settings, I am trying to add my hotmail account back onto it so I can add my bbm contacts. However, when I try to go to the "email set up" my ONLY option is to add a work email account with the BES. Not at all what I want.As a side note, I also noticed that the "wireless update" option is now missing from the options menu. Also, my bb browser goes to the Bell mobile portal instead of the old homepage. Not a major issue, but just noticed the differences.

When I go to my contacts and use options I have a contact list of unknown which has my contacts that I use for my bold. When I go to the unknown list under Wireless Synchronization it is grayed out and says unavailable. I can't figure out how to synch them. View 8 Replies View RelatedGot Android OS 5.0 lollipop update today 2/3/2015...on my SamGS5900v...all seems well except the Amazon MP3 app was misbehaving when using Screens hot one hand swipe across the screen. Each picture I took caused this app to want to send err report ...I hit send and then it came up with several apps to select how I wanted to send... but none of them worked and the another notify window says Amazon MP3 app crashed closed somewhere along the way while in this app...it started a Cloud download which I killed by forcing stop and disabling.
locating the app version number; and got a newer version of the Amazon Music with Prime version. When I downloaded/ installed that version, it automatically wiped over the previous version which was still disabled when the new one installed. All traces of the previous version were gone.Why didn't the 5.0 Update, Find and replace, or just Uninstall Automatically?This tells me a lot about many of the "Improvements?" Are Really applied.I have also found 2 more Apps that were misbehaving and applied same solution of finding version number and going to originator to replace with newer version.No uninstall, No Update.
Getting reboots? I have been getting them all day. Phone is in my pocket then it reboots by itself and I get a "send error report" message.
