On my Clients brand new Blackberry Bold 9700 I can not find the task/memo folders. This bb is on BES and everything else is synced. I have talked to AT&T and they have not idea were it could be. I have also wiped the device clean and restarted the BES setup and that did nothing. Does anyone have any ideas.?

(I don't know for sure if the update wiped them out, but that's my only guess.)I really need to get them back.I've done some searching and what others have tried isn't working for me. They aren't just hidden, they aren't showing on the 9700 as installed apps, and they don't show up in the application loader in desktop manager on my computer. I'm not sure what else to do.Is there a way to do an OTA install?

View 14 Replies View Relatedi updated my bold recently and when i did the task app and memo pad was taken off my phone and i have looked everywhere and went into the At&t store but they weren't able to do anything and i'm on a mac with no access to a pc. I have OS 5.0 and i have done a battery pull after i restored it with the task app selected and it still didn't work.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI got the Bold 9700 from AT&T on Saturday and I have unlocked it and started using it on the Bell network as of yesterday. Before getting the Bell SIM card, I upgraded it to the latest OS from Bell (platform 5.1.0.116 ; app version: 5.0.0.423).I was taking notes on a memo, and I suddenly started getting an error saying "Memo updated externally. Changes will be lost and the viewer closed." I'm pretty used to saving on a regular basis, so I didn't lose too too much of my notes. It started saving OK for a while on the same note after it happened twice within about 5 attempted saves (so the 3 or so in between did work). At one point my memo got duplicated for some reason. I deleted it and was working with the one left. Eventually it started doing it every time I tried saving a note regardless as to whether or not I actually made any changes to it. Finally after not touching my BlackBerry for a while, the memo has disappeared. Not quite sure what's going on with my memos at this point. I haven't synced my BlackBerry with the computer at all today. I'm using BIS, and I have nothing that should be modifying my memos.
I am wondering if there is anything I can do or if I should downgrade back to AT&T's latest available OS version which is older than Bell's latest. I've found no one having these issues with memos, only with contacts and calendar entries. I've always used my BlackBerry for taking notes that are very important for me.
Got my bold 9700 a month ago and finally decided to update to the latest firmware using the desktop manager.
Everything was going all fine and dandy but it is currently stuck on task 12 of 12 (restore device data) and hasnt moved for 3 hrs now...I don't want to unplug the device as it says unplugging may render some data unusable!
I am currently doing a backup and restore on my Windows 7 Laptop (see other thread i started for reason.The tasks have been running fine, until the restoring process/task where it is currently on Task 12/12. However, the task seems to have not made any further progress after approximately 55% of the overall restore process, and 80% of Database: BBGroups. there is no option to cancel (its greyed out) and the yellow bar at the top is telling me not to disconnect the device as the device/data may become unusable if disconnected before the process finishes.
The overall process was quick (approx 15 minutes) until the above it's taken over an hour now and it doesnt seem like it will ever finish.
hey, do you guys ever get a blank screen while performing a task on ur BB, supposingly texting someone or surfing the web? my BB9700 will have a blank screen from time to time and i'm worried it'll get worst in the future. is it an OS problem?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI accidentally hid an entire folder of pictures, or I think I did anyway. The folder that I think I hid still shows on my screen that lists my picture folders, but now it's showing as empty. I'm pretty sure I selected to hide the whole folder, and didn't actually delete everything in it.... I googled how to "unhide" photos, and it keeps telling me to go into media and "explore" but there is no "explore" option anywhere in my menu or even in the options submenu.

I dunno if that's what's caused it, but now I can't see my message folders on the Bold - be that the BBM, text, or my three email accounts. I'm still getting email notifications. With an OS v5.0.I have a corporate email set up through "Enterprise Activation" and I have set up my personal emails through the Email Wizard.The problem is: all the emails go to the Main Inbox. So in the Main Inbox, I have a mix of corporate emails and personal emails.The wizard also created different inbox for my personal emails, so I can access them individualy. But there is no way for me to get the personal emails out of the Main Inbox. Or creating a new Inbox for the Corporate emails.

View 5 Replies View Relatedmy friend is experiencing severe errors on her bb 9700.
1. She cannot open any Pictures in her Media Folder. She can see the thumb nails but when she tries to open it to view nothing happens. Also when she clicks on the Menu button nothing happens either.
2. She can also play music on her phone but when she clicks the menu button nothing happens as well. therefore she is unable to send or receive music.

4. When She puts on her bb the following error notification is seen: Uncaught exception: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException
Her OS was downgraded to the OS that came with the phone 5.0.0.330 by her Carrier due to some bluetooth issues she was experiencing: that is she was unable to pair. Since the downgrade the issue never arose. We tried to Update her OS yesterday to the latest official release 5.0.0.743 to see if this would help but after we launched apploader it said that they were unable to automatically back up her information and the update was aborted. If there is another way to manually backup the phone can you please let us know?

All my email folders have names (ie the email address). However one of them has (-1) in front of the email address (a google one). I have not seen this before. Has anyone else experienced the phenomena?

I added the Japanese input method during the update, however, there are now 2 files (net_rim_font_japanese, net_rim_font_japanese_droid) stuck in my Downloads folder. Japanese input method does not work as well. I tried loading the desktop manager again, but I am not able to remove/delete them. Does anyone have any idea on how to remove the input, or make it work without wiping the unit?

View 4 Replies View RelatedBasically when i go to my GMAIL folder when i receive emails, it shows no message. But it does appear in Message folder (both folders show the new mail counts). In the GMAIL folder if i change filter to label "Inbox" the new mail is there. The default label for GMAIL folder is "ALL MAIL" though. I don't have any filter setup so I'm not sure why the mail would only show up in Inbox but not in All Mail.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAny picture I take save of have already had on my phone won't allow me to view it in the media folder. Even the sample pics won't give me any options. If I push down on the trackpad or hit the blackberry (menu) button it just sits there. Music, vids, ringtones, everything else works fine. Tried reformatting the card and repairing it and nuthing happened. I'm going to download the current OS for at&t and see if that works. I'm on a bold 9700 on at&t running 5.0.0.405. The only thing that I think has happened between the last time I was able to view a picture was I told it to do a wirelees update and the firmware update completed successfully. Anybody have any other ideas?

I used the Setup Wizard to setup my Yahoo! email account, and at the end it said it had been successful and that an icon had been added to my Home Screen. However, I CAN'T FIND THIS ICON ANYWHERE.
I can only see my email messages in the unified Messages folder (along with BBM messages, facebook messages, ,etc., it's a mess), but I can't seem to have a folder ONLY for my Yahoo! email account. Please help me out, I've been at this for hours and have asked other friends for help but no one can figure this out.
