The Device Manager log shows that Memo Pad data was transferred to the device. But I cannot find the Memo Pad Icon (or the Task icon or the Search Icon...) I've looked everywhere.

However, after the upgrade I noticed that my memo pad and task data were cleared out which seems odd to me, because it spent a good chunk of time creating a backup, and after the update the core data, communication data, and calendar data remained intact. This is somewhat stressing because I had typed a few ideas out on my phone's memo pad and had not backed them up (slap on the hand for me), and now I no longer have access to them. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know if this backup data might still exist?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWell, I got my blackberry curve 8330 reinstalled today after having everything wipe out a few days ago. Really gotta start from square one again...very annoying...the only thing is I do not have my memo and task app on my screen. Is there a website to download this? When I first got the phone, these apps were there so I'm just surprised that their not there now. I had downloaded bbm and other apps that were not there and that was not a problem.

Trying to use app Map on Lumia 800 I am not able to find the search icon on the map allowing me to search for a place or business or shops etc. The only available icon is the search icon outside the map which only is used to search internet giving me a list of links which can not be connected to the map. I have tried to follow the instructions given in the manual however with no success. It all stops after launching the map. Note: This problem affects only the use of Map (Bing) and not Nokia Map or Nokia Drive. What am i doing wrong?

I have talked to AT&T and they have not idea were it could be. I have also wiped the device clean and restarted the BES setup and that did nothing. Does anyone have any ideas.?

If I use the search application searching for the letter E for the memopad it brings up my 13 entries. I can view/edit these entries. It seems the memo pad application can not find the actual memo entries.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHad quite a few issues after upgrading my BB to OS4.5, just when I thought everything is working correctly, the Memo Pad icon disappeared. It is neither hidden nor in any folder, I checked everywhere. The funny thing is, it is still syncing with Lotus Notes, so it's hidden somewhere. Wiped BB clean twice, and it will be back; however, once I installed the third party applications, WorldMate, Google Map, and CallingCardDialer, the Memo Pad disappeared again. I could do a Search and find the memo, but just can't find the icon.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSince iOS8.1, spotlight search no longer seems to be able to find apps on my device.I have 450 apps, and have used spotlight search since it was first introduced to find apps buried in directories on various home screens. I've tried turning off all other areas spotlight search can search, leaving only applications, yet that doesn't work. Most recent iOS8.1.2 update still has this issue.

I am experiencing strange behavior of E72 contacts application.My contacts are synchronizes via Exchange (as is email, calendar and tasks).When I enter Contacts and seach for a specific name (starting H today, but it was a different letter) no contact is found when in fact this contact exists and I can find it by scrolling thru all contacts.I find that restarting the phone solves the problem for a while.

My contacts are still there, I can find them by searching but don't have an icon on my home page (or anywhere else) to click on to add new contacts or find old ones. Can anyone advise what I've done? I've tried synching with my laptop but that hasn't brought the icon back, and I've powered off. I backed up to the cloud earlier but am a bit bothered about trying a full restore! Besides, the contacts icon was missing when I last backed up, so it probably wouldn't come back anyway!

A month ago my 8310 Curve, v. 4.5.0.55 (Platform 2.7.0.68) service provider O2, stopped being able to search and find Contacts unless I had added them after that date. These newer Contacts have not been folded into the original Address Book, but are all in a new and alphabetised list at the end of the original Contacts list. There are no Categories assigned, no Network sync, and Content is not protected. The Contacts are in the phone, not on the SIM.
Before this, I could type in to the Address Book or the phone the first 2-3 letters of someone's name and it would take me to that contact - now it says there's no such person. So I have to scroll through the entire address book to get to who I want, and then I can call/SMS etc.
the contact is in my google account.. i can scroll to it. but when using the phone's search contacts.. it doesn't find it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAll I did was modify my contacts settings to display contacts according to "custom settings" (instead of displaying contacts from ALL ACCOUNTS) and random contacts seemed to be ignored by the keypad lookup. When I would switch to the "Contacts" tab of the dialer and type out the name/ keyword, the same contact I was searching for WOULD be found. I even changed back to "All contacts" in the select contacts to display settings, but that didn't work.
An example of what I'm experiencing: when searching for a restaurant called "Second Grill", I would type in Grill using the keypad, and 6 other restaurants with Grill in their name popped up, but not Second Grill. When I typed in "Grill" in the contacts tab, "Second Grill" did show up as expected. Before changing the contacts settings at all, I know the lookup for Second Grill worked because I used it regularly.
I next went to Settings --> Applications --> Application manager and found 3 different "Phone" apps and cleared the cache of each one. Still didn't work. I did not try "Clear Data" for each one, as I was warned this would delete the application files (that didn't sound like what I wanted to do).
I got a BB Torch, i tried to set up the email by following the demo online, but there is no personal email setting on there just work email, and i tried to set up my email as enterprise account, it showed activation request failed.
