BB Bold 9700 :: Can't Changed Theme
Apr 8, 2010My Call Log used to show up on my main screen. I changed my theme, and now I cannot find it at all. Does anyone know how to find it and place it on the Menu screen?

BB Curve :: Theme / Display Changed
Apr 8, 2011I got my BB curve back in December from Orange and loved it. To cut a long story short there was technical problem which meant Orange replaced it. However the new replacement has a slighlty different theme than the previous one.It seems to have some different icons and highlights then in blue when you scroll over them. The text messages are also displayed dfferently.

May 22, 2011I update my bold 9700 with the OS6 (official) and since than i can't change the theme's.I can't see any theme's on my phone.......and i follow the standard steps. is this a wellnow problem?I download the official theme from bb app world ( spring theme roots of spring) and these are normaly working for OS6.

After loading, my phone couldn't press anything expect for alt and shift. and the specker logo has a star beside it. Anyone know how to fix it?

Feb 2, 2010I bought a new Bold 9700 a week ago.I got the synchronisation with my PC's Outlook working for calendar and contacts OK.Two days ago I set up the Blackberry so I could get my emails on it as well as the PC.Now when I go to synchronise, I get a message on the Blackberry Desktop Manager saying "The default service for your device's Calendar has changed since the last time you synchronised."Click OK to use your new default servicer and combine your data "."Click cancel to stop the synchronisation and revisit your default service options on your device."I have no idea why the default servce has changed (don't even know what it means) and what I should do. The calendar default service on the Bold shows my email address, so I guess it is something to do with my email setup.

Jun 16, 2010I did a normal backup and just before it finished, a message came up saying the DM could not backup one Theme. I clicked OK and then it comes up with another message and it says Backup completed ... click OK .So is it just one theme that's odd and not being backed up? (which I don't mind) With (hopefully) the rest of my stuff backed up as usual.

Jun 22, 2011I just downloaded a theme and I noticed my phone started slowing down. So I did a battery pull and when its on, I wanted to delete and change theme but when I click Options or Setup it freezes and I cant do anything but do another battery pull and no difference. I did it several times already. I tried connecting my phone to my macbook and my desktop manager wont connect to my phone. I figured I'll just do a back up so I can restore my phone back to its factory setting but like i said, my laptop wont connect to my phone. I basically tried everything already.

Nov 14, 2011Device info Your carrier: Celcom Malaysia Model: 9780 OS: OS6 Battery Pull didn't solve my issue. my previous sim card had a problem and I had to change sim card but still keep the phone number.Now when I managed to change sim, the BB Protect gave me a notification within the app itself notifying me about my sim card being changed. Being prompted to login using BB ID to verify this change, I tried to log in but it was with no success. Now, my 9780 isnt connected to BIS regardless of having 3G coverage.I also had BB Protect on with my previous sim, when I changed card it gave me a message to confirm this change and asked to login with my BB ID, but tried over wifi and BIS but cant connect.
Having so much diffculties, I made a backup on my pc and run the security wipe. But, still unsuccessful.I tried rebooting, called my telco but still no success. Also, my telco told me that BB Protect had nothing to do with any of this and I'm from Malaysia.
BB Bold :: Password Has Changed, Old One Won't Work
Aug 29, 2012As it sits right now I am on attempt 10/10. I am not sure what has happened. I was attempting to install a program through Blackberry World via the computer. I got to the part where the computer asked me to plug my phone into the computer. I then selected the PIN number for my phone and the computer said I have the password on and needed to enter it. Well I tried my password and it failed, tried a few more time and it failed. I disconected my phone and tried to gain entery but the password window was no longer **** out the password but was actually using letters and numbers.
Just prior to that I did a sync on my Blackberry
BB Bold :: Screen Has Changed Colours?
Sep 9, 2011I have had a Bold 9780 (OS 6.0 Bundle 2647) on Vodafone UK since January. I basically went to bed, and my phone was fine. I woke up and it looked like this:
It's actually alternating as I use it between this screen, the normal screen, and a weird mix of both.
I pulled the battery - no change! The last upgrade I did was yesterday for App World so don't think this would have affected it. I did have the LCD screen replaced back in April after an accidental knock but I've not had any other issues with the screen. The handset itself is still working as normal, and I look after it pretty well so can't understand what has happened.

Feb 22, 2010Normal settings changed to something or other - guessing Default? Nothing done here on my end other than a couple app installs and then uninstalls. All the alert tones and default ringtone went to something other than what they were.

Jan 13, 2010I got a new BB 9700 Bold yesterday and having problems with setting up the sync for the calendar and the contacts which are on my outlook. My hotmail email accounts are working okay. The outlook is on my PC and is the front face for my hotmail accounts.
When I go in to the BB Desktop device manager - version 5.0.1 (latest version) , I go in to the configure option on the left and it lets me click on calendar> then I select outlook and it then lets me select 'finish'. However at this stage an error box flashes up saying 'no available message stores'.
In addition when I check the wifi config on the calendar and contacts icons on the BB device it will not let me select yes on the wireless connection for them.

Sep 3, 2010I have Outlook 2007 on my desktop computer and use BT as a service provider and for my email, my Blackberry supplier is Vodafone and I use BIS.I have noticed that if my Blackberry receives an email first I don't get the same email delivered to my desktop. If my desktop gets an email first then the same email will be delivered to my Blackberry. I was happily deleting emails from my Blackberry thinking I would have them all on my desktop but I now find I have to check what emails I have on each before I delete anything. Is this an issue that anyone has come acrosss before and how do I resolve it apart from synching the Blackberry and desktop?I'm often away from the desktop which is why I bought the Blackberry in the first place.

Jul 26, 2011I have my work emails fed to my Bold and all has worked well until today - when I was required by my trusty employer to update my Outlook password. As I have tried to follow the instructions from Blackberry (the verify form message), I have gotten stuck in a loop. I go to "Setup" -> "Email account" and click on it. This takes me to "Email Accounts" where I choose option "Internet Mail Account" (it is not an Enterprise account). Click. Now I am back at the previous screen. This loop is nauseatingly repeatable. I have also noticed that, I can really lock up my phone depending on how I exit the Setup app.
Battery removing time. So I have also been trying to simply remove the email account altogether and have been stymied at that as well. I went to the folder for the Outlook emails, chose "Options" then "Email Account Management". And I always get this popup: "Unable to open email setup application. Contact your wireless service provider." Meanwhile, and just for clarification, the other email account (Yahoo) is still receiving mail -- got one while I've been typing this. Thus I cannot get to the settings to change the account/password, and I cannot just delete the account outright. So far as I know.
