IPhone 5 Won't Play Movies Or Video
Jun 1, 2014Just curious, but have any of you run into this same problem or found a solution? I frequently have used (in the past) my iPhones to store videos or movies to take on the road with the family instead of bringing DVD's for the trip.  On every version of iPhone I have owned this was feasible. Not with the iPhone5 though. All i get is the audio now.

From what I've read the Curve supports mp4 and H-264, however when I rip to this format I only hear audio form the mp4-aac; what format of video I need? AVI, MP4, plus what codec used inside the encapsulation?

Dec 5, 2014I am attempting to play the songs in my iTunes Library on my MBP through my MUSIC app on phone in iTunes I have this configured (my songs are on the Mac not in the cloud) on phone>settings>music>home sharing> logged in w/ my Apple ID
When I go to MUSIC on home screen some of the songs I have on the Mac in iTunes are not there to select.
The ones that are there I an select and I can play.Â

Mar 12, 2010so i've been reading the forums and googling and whatnot, and i found out that my blackberry should support: .avi, .mp4, .mov, and .3gp video files. video files are currently .m4v because of itunes, but i renamed a test video to the 4 above (unless i'm supposed to fully convert them?!), and none of the videos worked. i've tried uploading with media manager, as well as simply dragging and dropping onto my memory card. before, i was able to drag and drop my files onto the memory card, and the videos would play perfectly (i never even had to change the extension!)(also related: i've never been able to play Internet videos!) note: i uploaded a video i took from my point-and-shoot camera (.avi), and there was only sound!

Now I drag the movies to my desktop and they play perfectly with quicktime. (When I transfer movies from my flip camera, they play in iphoto with no issues.) Apr 15, 2012I've hooked everything up properly. Movies play just fine from my iPad2 but when I try and play a movie that I loaded onto my iPhone the tv just says "no signal". Movie plays fine on the phone itself. I even plugged phone into power source thinking maybe the phone didn't have enough power to play a movie on tv. Still "no signal". I'm on vacation and hoped to watch a couple of movies.
