Suddenly the image on my iphone 5S is stuck in one orientation. There is probably a setting to lock and unlock this but I don't know where to find it. Searched through settings to no avail so far.
I dropped my iPhone (from about 4 ft on to carpet, no big deal) but now the orientation is stuck and it won't rotate into any other views. It acts as if it is constantly being held upside down so that the home button is at the top. It won't switch into landscape or into normal portrait. I have to constantly flip my phone upside down anytime I'm using an app that rotates like FaceTime. It's like the accelerometer can't register the correct direction I'm holding the phone. Same problem when I play games that use phone tilt, the phone is constantly titled to one side an stuck there. I need to reset the accelerometer or recalibrate it at least. I tried resetting all settings, closing all apps, turning the phone off, turning on and off the rotation lock, nothing fixes it?!?!?!
I would like to know if it impossible to rotate the calls screen orientation. When you put the torch in the docking station, the screen does not move and remans vertical...
Suddenly my iPhone 3GS stopped allowing the change in orientation of the display when turning the phone 90 degrees. A symbol appeared at the top right, that looks like a warning that this feature is locked. Now, I cannot find out if and how to restore this feature.
I have seen some similar postings in the Droid forum, but thought I should pose the query here to see if anybody else is experiencing the same problem. When Orientation is checked in Settings... Display, the orientation of the screen switches from portrait to landscape with the rotation of the phone in most applications. When Orientation is unchecked in Settings... Display, the orientation of the screen remains fixed in portrait in most applications.Annoyingly, there are some exceptions to this. When disabled, there are some apps that STILL go to landscape view when there is minor jolting to the phone (e.g. when walking or cycling). They seem to be mapping-related apps such as Google Navigation, Google Maps, OpenSignalMaps and so on.
My Display only rotates horizontally but does not rotate vertically. The display lock is not on. I restored back to factory settings and am still getting the same problem.
Verizon 32 GB Nexus 6, stock no root. 5.1.1. It won't autorotate. Display setting is set to autorotate and Accessibility setting is set to autorotate but it won't. Multiple on/off reboots with settings off and on. Cleared system cache. I downloaded Check My Android and it shows all sensors active and working normally. I downloaded Set Orientation and it won't change automatically. I can force it to landscape mode using the app but have to do it manually. The camera takes a picture in portrait and displays it either upside down or in landscape.
i read about this before but i can't fix this. My phone won't rotate and when i take pictures they rotate in the album. I try safe mode, factory reset and it didn't work.
Anyone know of any tweaks or such that would allow a jailbroken iphone 4 to maintain an orientation lock in widescreen mode (for surfing safari while in bed..)
is there any way to remove the orientation lock symbol in status bar??I want to keep it locked, but it gets in the way of BiteSms and SBSettings Memory and date in the status bar
Suddenly my mail window shows only in landscape orientation, and if I try to type a new message the keyboard comes up portrait on the lefthand side. I don't recall doing anything to cause this. It is an iPhone 5s, IOS 8.1.2
On my iPhone 4S the Answer button is on the right and the Reject button is on the left when I receive calls. I would like to reverse the orientation. How can I do that?
I cannot type the letter "t" when phone is in portrait orientation. will only work when phone is in landscape. This causes some problems as some apps do not change orientation so when the "t" is needed to be entered it cannot be carried out
Both of those KEY features are missing. Orientation lock should have been there since day one, but you have to pay 200 dollars + 2 years of contract to enable it apparently. What is the reason for not including wallpapers?, or even orientation lock (one of the most requested features)?..They could easily have included the orientation lock "panel" without showing the app switcher. At least they could have included orientation lock in the Settings application!http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.htmlIf you really want to get their attention: (free developer account required) http://bugreporter.apple.com
Have problems with the orientation the photos come out from the Lumia 1020? I would always hold the phone horizontal and use the camera button to take photos. Sometimes the photos come in one orientation and other times they need to be rotated 90 degrees. When viewing the photos in camera roll, holding the phone vertical again I get full screen photos and swipe left/right for next/prev. But in the other orientation that sometimes the photos come out in,
Whenever I take a picture, I like to hold my phone vertical. Hence, all my pictures are sideways. Is there a setting or an app I can get that will change the orientation of my photos?
There a few apps like Pandora, Messages (yes I don't like messaging in landscape) and a few others that I want them to stay locked in Portrait view...... BUT..... not lock portrait to ALL other apps!I still want to view my Safari, Mail and a few others in Landscape when I want.BUT I cant just lock a specific App then close that app and open another without that orientation lock carrying over to all other apps.Am I missing something?
consider releasing a Screen Orientation Lock and Screenshot App?
These are basic features that Microsoft forgot to implement because they were all busy with the Smartglass App that just came out and everyone was just super excited! I know that these apps are possible, some apps on marketplace have their own screenshot feature. On developer unlocked phones they can lock screen orientation.
Anyhow, out of the box, whenever he opened something that could have a landscape orientation - web browser, menus, etc - the screen would automatically turn to that orientation and he would have to turn his phone to use it, ie, no matter how he held it, it would *always* change to landscape.Going into the display settings and turning off "Auto-rotate" screen keeps the screen in portait mode, but then lansdcape doesn't work at all.We did a power off and battery removal and now the phone always stays in portrait mode irresepective of what the display setting is set to.
The odd thing is, the NFS game that comes on it plays perfectly?!Just wondering if anyone has had this issue and managed to fix it without having to return the phone? (it came from Amazon, so it's not as simple as walking into a store and swapping it)
My phone has no problems recording video and the auto rotate function seems to work fine as well. However, if I take a video in portrait mode on my phone, transfer it to my windows 7 computer and play it, it plays in landscape mode (sideways). I've tried VLC player and windows media player and they both play portrait taken videos in landscape.
I have purchased a x 10 mini pro couple of days ago.I have noticed that the screen orientation is not changing from portrait to landscape mode when i turn the mobile.it works when i slide out the keypad.this happened after the upgrade to 2.1. I have checked the settings>dispaly>screen orientation option. Should I take it to service centre?
