May 3, 2012I have to send my iPhone 4 back due to a fault...for the second time...and as my wife and I share the same itunes account when I backed up my phone the last time it did not transfer all of my own contacts to the new handset when I carried out a 'restore from backup'. Does she need to have her own Apple Id to stop this happening? And if so, does that mean that we cannot share bought apps and songs in future?

Sep 6, 2010So my Blackberry 8220's screen recently stopped working, but I had a spare Pearl 8100. I installed the Blackberry Desktop Manager and made a back up of my Blackberry Flip. I tried transferring my data from the Flip to the Pearl and also tried using the Flip backup file to restore the Pearl.
After trying both methods, I was able to get my text messages and call log to show up, and some calls I get have the contact name show up instead of the number. However I still have no contacts in my address book.
Galaxy S5 :: Cannot Edit Nor Delete Transferred Contacts From SIM Card?
Sep 6, 2015I got a new Galaxy S5 about a year ago and put my old SIM card in it to transfer my contacts. The SIM card was used in a Motorola Atrix HD and a Nokia Lumia 520. I need to update and delete some of the original contacts that I put on the SIM card when I was using the two previous phones. However, my Galaxy S5 simply will not register any of the changes. If I choose to delete one of the contacts, it says "The contact will be deleted" but then nothing happens. If I try to edit one of the contacts, it says "Unable to save contact."
This issue only occurs when attempting to edit contacts that were added to the SIM card on either of the two previous phones. If I try to edit or delete a contact that I added using my Galaxy S5, everything works just fine. It sounds like this is an authentication/security issue of some kind, but how do I get around it?

Then I did the synchronization of favorites on the phone and the route was there. But when I tried to open the route on the phone the "Calculating route" message appears and the route that shows up is COMPLETELY different from the one on the Nokia Maps: different roads, strange ways to get to the waypoints, ... In short I can not use this route on the phone as I would like.

For example : i try to transfer an application to my device (I put it in Download folder) but when I go to my nexus 5 (Storage ==> Downloads) I can't see the application (like if it is hidden) and the same thing to the rest (document, music, video...) but when I transfer photos over the PTP, there is no problem.
I try to put something in a different folder in the storage of my nexus 5 but i have the same problem (it doesn't appear). I also try to creat another folder and transfer to it but in this case I see what I transfer but I can't click on it or select it.

May 4, 2015Some of the older videos only have a black screen, but I can hear the sound. Screen even says "play audio only". I'm not a genius at tech stuff, but I've looked it up and done it all to fix it. Pull battery put, clear cache... ect. Recently, I didn't have enough storage to download an update, so I disabled a lot of apps I never use. Maybe I disabled one I need?? (But only the oldest 10 videos do this, not the rest)!! I transfer the game to the phone, fine but when I try to run it it tells me that its an "unsuported file format". Now I know this is because the phone has been locked so that you have to DL stuff directly to the phone but I don't have a data plan and would really like to be able to put these games and such onto my phone from my computer.

So I went to the AT&T store and they did the video swap using their equipment . We watched the screen on the transfer box/computer and it said 66 videos downloaded. (66 is exactly how many vids I have). Same deal! I look in my photo/vid folder and no vids! Where these videos are hiding? Also it appears all my pics went to internal memory and I don't want that. I want them on my SD card.

Apr 21, 2012I upgraded from a 4 to a 4s. Yesterday, I first downloaded newest version of iTunes. Then, I backed up my iPhone 4 (3 times to be sure). Then I got my 4s and followed the instructions to restore it to the backup of my 4. My first hurdle was having to update the ios on the 4s (refurbished phone). Then, I was able to see the last backup from my 4, and i followed the steps to the letter on restoring it to that backup. All my contact and messages restored, but now I have NO music or apps on my 4s OR in iTunes. HELP! What did I do wrong? I'm panicking! I should mention that I have 2 apple IDs, but I don't think that's the issue, because I think I would at least see some of my apps.

Apr 15, 2012I recently updated to ios 5.1, and after about 10-40 seconds after unlocking my phone it stops to see my finger touches. the buttons work but not the touch screen. and this also hapens sometimes when I go to unlock the screen. so I have to lock the screen and try to unlock it to use the phone for about 30 seconds and then have it do the same thing making me lock it and unlock it again. I'm starting to think it is the ios 5.1 not liking my phone. I have a 3gs 16 gig. My screen was cracked and I had it replaced along with the digitizer, and when I got it back I did a restore and thats when it added the ios 5.1. So I was wondering if I can go back to an older ios and how to do that.
