Apr 5, 2012The other night I sent my friend a text. It came through to her from my email adress which is weird because I sent it as I normally would. Then someone else on my contact received the text I sent to my friend but they received it from her name. She didn't send anything to this person. I know this is confusing So for example: Person A sent a text to person B Person B received the text from person A email address Then contact in person A's phone received the text from person B but person B did not send anything.

Dec 7, 2014Yesterday my messages with my friend disappeared and when I try to text them through selecting new message and literally typing in their number, it will send it to my mother. It's only happening between my friend and my mother. Weirdest thing. I checked their contacts and there is no overlapping information.

It all seemed to work fine except for when I send an SMS to one of my friends it automatically links another friend into the thread. So the message thread will say "Name1 Surname1;Name2 Surname2" but I have only sent the message to one person. What is going on here, I have deleted both contacts and re-entered them manually but it is still doing it.

Sep 18, 2011My wife has a Droid X which has recently started acting up in the last few weeks. Using the stock Text Messaging app, when she responds to a text message, the receipent name and number is not the person who sent it, but someone else (usually someone she texted with recently). Sending it, it goes to the wrong person. Turning off/on the phone only helps for a short time, as it happens rather quickly again. I have done a Factory Reset on the phone twice and still it happens. I have even gone as far as installing Handcent and she still has the issue, but many times it will show the correct receipent name, but goes to someone else.

When I receive text messages, it shows the right time (current time) in the inbox but when I try to check the time with message details, Its late by 4 Hours.
