I am exchanging text messages with my husband and my daughter between the three of us and then my husband's answer would suddenly come back to me in the thread where there is just the two of us talking? That happened on several occasions and not with this set of senders only.
View 1 RepliesWhen I click from either the "Notification" screen, or the Text Message List, I am directed to the wrong text messaging thread. This doesn't happen every time, it happens every day, and multiple times, however. Usually, when I reboot the phone, the problem is gone...momentarily.
It seems to happen with random messages. I use Universal Inbox and currently see message from text, Facebook, Twitter, Gmail and my AT&T mail.
If I use the stock Text Messaging app, I can open the list of messages and see whatever I can from the preview there, but when I click to open the thread, it will open a totally random message thread. Weird. I'm not that into text messaging, but it does annoy me when I need to use it and I can't open individual messages because the wrong ones are appearing.
I don't know if this is a device problem, a software/app problem, an AT&T messaging problem or what. I'm somewhat ignorant about smartphones and have only had this Atrix 2 for about three months.
I send a text message to Person A I receive a text message from Person A but its under the convo box of Person B Under 'SMS conversations; the text message will be in the wrong thread but when I go to 'SMS inbox' it tells me who really sent the text message. Thing is, that can get a bit tiring to do every time I get a text message.

With my HTC one m8, when I tap on a picture in a thread, it opens that single image. Is there any way to easily access all pictures on a long messaging thread all at once?

View 1 Replies View Related419 just put a SMS in the wrong 'thread'! That is, I had a thread going with friend #1, and got an off-topic SMS from that friend. Turns out friend #2 sent it and the OS put it in the #1's thread! This is bad... very very bad. Even worse if it's sending out SMSs to the wrong people. My wife and my girlfriend are going to be very annoyed.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy wife has a Droid X which has recently started acting up in the last few weeks. Using the stock Text Messaging app, when she responds to a text message, the receipent name and number is not the person who sent it, but someone else (usually someone she texted with recently). Sending it, it goes to the wrong person. Turning off/on the phone only helps for a short time, as it happens rather quickly again. I have done a Factory Reset on the phone twice and still it happens. I have even gone as far as installing Handcent and she still has the issue, but many times it will show the correct receipent name, but goes to someone else.
The phone is running:
System Version: 4.5.602.MB810
I just noticed in my 3gs that once I am in the message thread and the same person replies to my message, the default message tone saved in my setings is not played, instead, it is only like a "balloon sound" / "bubble sound"

View 1 Replies View RelatedIm loving the Galaxy SII but, 9 times out of 10, when I try to make a call, the call ends within 2 seconds, The phone appears to dial but then the call ends. The reception seems good (4 of 4 bars) and HSPA connection. I have tried a new sim card and reseting the phone to factory settings. But the problem persists. I also have intermittent problem of the phone not receiving incoming calls.

The bar on the top of the screen between the "select a profile" and the "search magnifying glass" where the notifications pop up not sure what that page is called but in this slide down screen under Text Messages I have a text message that is staying at unread. Even though I have deleted the text message and I've tried everything to try and get it to go away. Today I have a Blackberry Messenger Message that won't delete as well. Does anyone else have this problem and figure out a way to refresh and get ride of it? I've tried turning the device on and off a few times but doesn't fix the issue.

View 1 Replies View RelatedUsing the stock Messaging app on the S6 allows you to set notification SOUND of your choice - globally ... but no longer has the ability to set a custom vibration pattern. Also, you USED to be able to set unique notification sounds per individual or contact group , but that's now missing too.
My question is, using a third-party messaging app, are these things possible? If so, which texting app (Chomp, etc.) is the way to go so that you can set up unique sounds/vibrations for individuals or groups?

Just upgraded to two Galaxy S6 on Sprint for some reason my wife device and mine when we get text message they got to are default message app as well as one of our Email accounts. Is there a way to get them to Stop going to to Email and just go to the default text app that comes with the S6. Never had this issue before don't know if there a setting or what.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOK, I've set out to find out WHY some (not all) of my text messages are being sent out in segments. And don't tell me it's because they're too long. I have sent messages that are longer than the entire length of my S5. I have seen this happen on text messages I've received and wondered why people sent one message in 2 or 3 segments...now it's happening with mine. Can't be a phone or provider specific thing since mine have always sent out "whole" until today. Oh, and also today, sometimes the message is duplicated (recipient gets two of the same message).
