BB Torch :: How To Turn Off Preview Of Message In Notification Bar
Jun 18, 2011I have just got a new bb torch as I lost my old one and on this new phone when I receive a text message and click on the icon I am now getting a preview of the message in the notification bar.Can some please tell me how to turn this off so that it just shows who the message is from? This was not happening on my previous phone, is this something to do with the new software update?

I set my security up last night to recognize my fingerprint, when i did that there is a option in there for you to click that it "hides content" when you click this,it just shows "New message" on your lock screen.

Jun 4, 2013HTC ONE. With the Stock Messaging app on the phone, I like it and all but I have a small gripe about it. I don't get message previews on the lock screen when I get a message. Yes I know, maybe it's disabled to save on battery life, but battery life is not an issue for me on this phone. Anyways, the only way I can get a message preview on lock screen is if I use CHOMP SMS messaging app. I dont like it, I prefer the stock one, but I leave it on so that I can get previews on my lock screen. Any way to maybe Enable the feature so that I can see a preview of my text on the lock screen?

I have contacted my service provider and they have conducted tests on my phone and I can send and receive messages. why the messages sent from this one contact are not coming through?

However this seems to not show ANY notification in the status bar that there is an unopened text waiting. When im at home in Australia, my phone connects to my own phone provider and the data which is only the current news and sport headlines comes in free of charge. Jul 24, 20101) I cannot stop the alarms or reminders when phone is in lock state: When the handset is locked and I get a reminder tone for alarm/reminders, then the STOP and SNOOZE buttons on the screen are disabled. I have to snooze the alarm by pressing the red button on the handset, then unlock the mobile and wait for snooze time (also ensure that mobile is unlocked), and then press the STOP button on the screen.
This is creating huge problem, because to stop any alarm or reminder, I have to wait till the snooze time with mobile unlocked.
2) Cannot turn my phone to silence during incoming call when mobile is in lock state: When I receive any call and if the mobile is in locked mode, I cannot make(rather silence button on screen is disabled) the ringing to silent. If the mobile is in unlocked mode, then any incoming call can be made silent by pressing the silence button on the screen. Again here i need to ensure that phone is in unlock state or use the start/stop button on the side of teh phone.......

Nov 8, 2011Several times since I purchased my new Blackberry Torch I have been unable to answer an incoming call - not always, but intermittently. I can hear the phone ringing, but no matter what I do it will not answer and it will not stop ringing!! The only way to stop it is to pull the battery out - my husband has the same phone and this has happened to him also.
