My e-mail is not working correctly on my phone. I have lots of ghost "No Sender" messages and it cannot download attachments anymore. I used to restart e-mail on my previous iPhone, but I don't know how to restart/re-launch it on the iPhone 5.Â

I have deleted and re-installed Nine, deleted the email account and added it again, changed the email download size to all, countless restarts, unmount / mount SD card - nothing worked so far.

I have Gmail on my iPhone 4 (with Verizon). I'm having a problem where I cannot download picture attachments. It was working fine just a couple days ago, but now when I tap the download picture icon in the email, it will blink, and sometimes act like it's starting to download, then the icon will reappear, and nothing has happened.
I can forward the email again, including the original attachment, and then the picture shows up fine in the new email, but with the original one, I can't get the picture to appear.

We have one user who can't seem to get PDF or Excel attachments from one sender. I sent him test emails with pdf and excel attachments and he got them just fine. We are running BES 4.1.7.17. I'm drawing blanks on this one. Oh, and the email in his outlook has the attachments! So, we know that they aren't getting stripped on the sender's side. He's using a Curve 8530 from Verizon.

However, some emails will be received with attachments but the phone does not give the open or download attachment options. If you forward the message from the device, the attachment will still be attached. The issue is intermittent and I have not been able to pin down any consistently as I have received several emails with attachments successfully. The emails that will not give the attachment options also do not have the little paperclip on the email icon from the messages view. Again, hen this exact email is forwarded the attachment will arrive at the destination.

I'm looking to find the cheapest NOKIA phone available which is capable of:
1. Storing a significant amount of text messages e.g. 3000 or so (which my current 3110c can do so shouldn't be a problem)
2. Sort text messages by sender.For example, go to Inbox, By Sender.It should also be possible to sort Sent items by who they were sent to.
I got this problem after i upgrade my bold to OS 5.0.0.411 .I received 1 txt message and everything seemed fine.. at least I thought so ;A bit later I got a second txt (SMS) message but the content of the msg didn't make any sense as it seemed only relevant to another person in my contacts...
I had one sms in my SMS/MMS inbox and all SMS that came in after that appeared to be from the same person although they weren't! .... In other words, I get the threaded SMS but showing ALL incoming messages as being from the same person (the first one that sent me SMS after I installed the OS 5.0.0.411)!

View 3 Replies View RelatedOn my iPhone, when I would receive a text message, my lock screen would show who the message was from but it wouldn't include a "preview" of what the message said. It just said Text Message and the persons name. Whenever I receive a text message on my Galaxy S6, is it not possible for the alert on my lock screen to just say "New Message" or just even the contact's name and no preview of the message?
Under Notifications settings --> Notifications on lock screen -- I have the option of Show Content or Do Not Show Notifications.
Shouldn't there be additional options of "turn preview off". Something to that effect? Same with my emails. I'd rather it just say who the email is from an not a snippit of the email contents. Is this possible for email and text messages?
I just upgraded from ios ver 4.something to 5.1.1 on my Iphone 4. I can't open any mail attachments (Jpegs, excel, pdf's). When I click on an attachment it shows that it is downloading the file and then when it is done, the attachment icon blinks and nothing happens. It used to work fine before - I have 2 gmail accounts setup on my phone -they've been on my phone for the past 1yr and working fine. Rebooted the phone by pressing home and power. I deleted the accounts and re-installed with no luck. I went into Mail settings and set images to auto load - no luck. Turned wifi on and off I desperately need this for my work - I've been using Safari to login into Gmail.
