my problem is that my iphone suddenly stops and begins to restart for several times and before each restart the display turns to funny colors and go off and then on and off...
sometimes it wants me to connect to the itunes and restore but while you are restoring it you will see Error number 9.
I have a JB 3Gs at 3.1.2. Every week or so wifi seems to go a little wonky and I have to restart. Recently however the restarts take anywhere from 5-10 minutes. It just sits on the Apple Logo for that long. Does anyone else have this problem? I used to be able to do it in about 30 seconds. I've been considering restoring but staying at 3.1.2, i figured it would fix the problem. According to Cydia my SHSH is on file, I don't remember doing it but I very well could have. I've been told if you can stay at 3.1.2 for now then do it. Any suggestions?
Or do I have a defective device? It's been like this since launch day, I just figured there were some bugs in the software they had to iron out, but it's not getting better only worse. I figured this would be a big news story if it was a widespread problem, but I haven't heard anything. I can't even use my phone as an alarm anymore because it will also randomly turn itself off in the night. I've been late to work twice now because of that.
My Icon suddenly powered off and restarted several times since latest update. My wife's Icon has done it once as well. Seem to happen when on web pages.
I got my lollipop update yesterday. I was using it fine but it keeps restarting by itself several times. I have checked the power button and there is no issue with it either.
My phone says its has the following - ndroid version: 2.3.3Baseband version: I9100BUKG1Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-I9100BUKG2-CL342890 root@DELL102 #2Build number: GINGERBREAD.BUKG2ies says may phone has the latest firmware (Kies also updated) but since I updated the phone about 3 weeks ago it keeps restart (as if powered off/on) at various times (during calls, internet access, running apps). Went into my local VF shop and they said to check there has not been a never firmware update but Kies finds nothing. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Using a Nextel Curve - when a call comes in the phone vibrates first, then begins ringing. I miss calls all the time at home because I don't hear it vibrate, and it only rings for about 5 seconds. I've downloaded ringers that are 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds in length and it doesn't make a difference. Vibrate, vibrate, ring for 5 sec, missed call... Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Of recent, sometimes when I'm using L1520, the display begins to vibrate (shake). Like everything starts shaking but not like the phone itself is vibrating or anything.
My phone is about 2 months old. My service is through ATT in the US, but I use the phone abroad - currently in Sydney, Australia.Sometime early this morning [still asleep as alarm didn't go off], the phone began rebooting. When it reboots, it fails half way through and starts again. This has been going on for over 10 hours. I have not had time to load any new application onto it, it is in the same state it came. I just receive and send email and text.I have spoken to ATT and the only thing they recommend is a new phone. However, they wont send it to me outside the US, they say it isn't possible [even if I pay for shipping]. I guess they never heard of FedEx or DHL. So much for their international service. I have to coordinate shipping through my office in the US. This is going take me more time than I think I can live without the phone.
I've tried a battery that I know works and the problem persisted. I would like to wipe the phone clean, but since I don't ever get to the main screen, I cant do it using an application. Is there any way to wipe it clean using a combination of keys? I cant do it from my PC either as it doesnt recognize the phone since it is always rebooting.
The last time I synced with Outlook, a lot of the same contacts came up multiple times -- around 50+ times each. Seems the only way to delete them is individually. I would like to know the following: 1) is there a way to do multiple deletes and 2) what made this happen.
I have had my Bold 9000 for about two months. I bought it unlocked and have been using it with T-mobile. When I first got it, i upgraded it to the latest leaked os 5.0. The thing is, I had problems with it. First it would just randomly crash and restart and crash and restart, continuously tell it just drained the battery out. Sometimes, on restarts, the standard Blackberry ringtones would not work, and sometimes they would. Sometimes when it would restart after crashing it would say, "net_app_something_ (52) isnt working and was canceled". I assumed it was a bad leak and tried several different version. (and this same occurred with each OS. I would install it on my pc, on my buddy's who has an unlocked Bold 9000 on t-mobile just like me. In the end I gave up and went back to 4.6. Yesterday i tried the new, official OS 5.0.It worked at first, but then when I install the newest BBM, it started crashing again, until the battery was gone. So now I have reinstalled it, kept the standard BBM that comes with the OS. and also deleted Quickpull. thinking it might have to do with it as well. On a last weird note. It seems only to crash in the evening. In the morning it is perfectly fine, however once it passes 4pm , the crashing beings, non if this occurs with 4.6. Any ideas? My friend and I are both lost. Sorry for the wordy post, but it is really difficult to describe the retardedness of this situation.
Is it possible to add times to all text messages received and sent? If not how does the iPhone determine which text messages get a time and which ones do not?
I have very good bandwidth at home and can usually download HD iTunes movies fairly quickly. When I try to download the 580 MB 4.0.1 update it fluctuates between 5-8 hours and takes over several minutes just to get to 1 MB. Are the servers overloaded?
I have scores of apps on my iPhone (and iPad). Many, many I've never used since the day I installed them or only used a couple of times. It'd be interesting to have an app that would tell me how many times I used each, and that way I could get rid of the ones that haven't been used in the past month or two. In fact, I wouldn't even mind a mass delete of the ones I haven't used in months!
I'm thinking, though, that such an app would require inter-communication with other apps, or system-level monitoring that only Apple could provide. Hey, maybe there's something in Settings that would show that?! I know that I discovered after too many months the Usage screen buried inside Settings that tells me how much space each app is taking up.
Ive never dropped or spilled anything on my phone, and i've only had it for less than 7 months. It will randomly turn off and I will try to restart it. It freezes on the restart screen so i usually have to restart it again. Also, sometimes the screen will spit for a couple of seconds but thats minor compared to it shutting off on me 5 times a day. Im thinking its a hardware glitch, but at the same time i'm not very tech savvy! Im wondering if i have to pay for it and what's the process of them fixing/replacing my phone? Im a student and everything i have is on my phone so im really hoping i wont be without a phone for a week or so just so they can figure out the problem!
I just jailbreak my Iphone with "redsn0w-win_0.9.2". It works perfect. Its amazing, but I was wonder if I could jailbreak it again , but with another software like "blackra1n" or other software, you know to have more apps and things in the Iphone. Like in other word have two or more libraries with apps.It this possible ?
My friend and I both have iPhones 4s. I was looking at them both today and they both showed different times? I thought this was odd because I figured the phones got the time from the AT&T network, so how could they be different?
I have noticed that the standby and usage times on my iPhone 4 are exactly the same. This isn't a coincidence. It has been like this since the first day I got it. Why is this?
From what I can remember from my first gem iPhone, the times were different. Why's it the same on the iPhone 4?
I'm a new iPhone user, but I use only Mac products. That being said, I'm not a fanboy. I'm just a designer and photographer that requires this kind of equipment for my work. I waited 3 generations for Apple to work out its bugs and when I saw the iPhone 4, I knew it was time to buy. Everyone has been talking about the antennae. It's pretty much been talked to death, so yeah, I have that same issue and I use a rubber bumper. But, am I the only one that really confused about the strength of the glass? Apple writes, "Chemically strengthened to be 20 times stiffer and 30 times harder than plastic". But I've never had any plastic item, no matter how fragile shatter when dropped. Is this not a blatant marketing deception? Can anyone tell me if they've ever dropped a plastic anything and it shattered?
I just noticed my bank account had a total of 13 charges for $11.99 for my MobileProtect insurance. And the app itself said my next billing date was 8/25/2011! When I was finally able to get through to a human, he said it was some glitch that affected a lot of people but I'd be credited back the additional amount within a day.
I'm just wondering if anyone else was shocked to see this happen to them, since I hadn't seen it posted here already (yes, I did search).
Does anybody know an app where I can specify the time of day I want my e-mail (and possibly other functions) to give an audible beep?
I like having my e-mail beep while I'm awake, but I get a lot of mail throughout the night and I hate hearing the e-mail beep (especially when it wakes me up). I also don't want to have to set the phone to silent or drill down into the settings. It seems like it shouldn't be hard to have e-mail beep only during a specified time range.
It slipped out of a bag while it was being picked up. I'd say about 1 foot of the ground and he said that its suppose to be stronger than plastic. My 3G was dropped about 20 times and only got some scratches, ever nothing like this. Apple said $200 to fix it
I've got an iPhone 4 that shuts down randomly, first it was not that often, now it several times a day. I really getting annoying. I've checked the apple website and it said that my warranty has expired. What to do?
It freezes and reboots anywhere from 5-14 times a day 14 is the most it has done it to me some far. I tried deleting everything and restoring it as a new phone as i was told to do when i called for support but it did not work
